where do all these bots come from? do they come in your email at random? why don’t I get some?
jerry dodge: they don’t come through email, they come as comments at the blog. They are usually dumped in groups, sprinkled throughout old threads (almost never on new ones).
As for why you never get them: just lucky, I guess.

Probably volume of traffic to the site.
I get only a handful of spambots (as compared to neo), but I’ll bet the few hundred visits per month at my site amount to a few hours on her’s.
So, drop by once in a while and help to overcome this tragic disparity. 🙂

Spamming is way too much fun. Find Spam. Copy Spam. Paste Spam. All the while singing Monty Pythons Spam Song.
I’ve only received a few comment spambots in my entire blog history (14 months). But I get SEVERAL pathetic phishing emails each DAY informing me I have just won a considerable sum of money – almost always in British pounds. I think I’m being stalked by Austin Powers’ evil twin.
