Obama and the individual mandate: tax, or no tax?
it’s a little challenging to follow all the twisting and turnings, but let’s give it a go.
One of Obama’s most oft-repeated campaign pledges was that he would not raise taxes on anyone but the rich (defined variously, but usually as income over $250 K).
He also excoriated Hillary during the campaign for including an individual mandate in her HCR proposals.
Then, when the Congressional HCR bill included an individual mandate to buy health insurance because otherwise it would be grossly underfunded, he argued that it didn’t involve a tax at all, merely a penalty.
Now, because some states have begun lawsuits against the federal government’s HCR law, the Obama administration is arguing that such suits are unconstitutional because—why, because they violate “the Anti-Injunction Act, which restricts courts from interfering with the government’s ability to collect taxes.” The administration is arguing that it’s actually just like a tax, don’t you see, because it is “assessed and collected in the same manner” as taxes, by the IRS.
Kinda makes your head spin, doesn’t it?
By what right does the state have to control behavior and choose winners and losers by controlling taxation?
anyone realize that taxation was to pay for necessary costs, and not as a whip to bring the people in line.
By what right do they (and the huge number of psychiatrists, psychologists, and others in human social interactions specialites) have to experiment on the public without that public permission?
by waht right do they get to design the future to favor them and their children arbitrarily?
i will point out that we look at joseph mengele with horror as he experimented on children.
waht do you think the changes and ideas in progressiv eduation are?
experimenting on children at the state level using scientific socialism to control them, mold them irregardless fo their wills and desire, and then watch as we see what those games do to them and their lives.
if i wanted to experiment on you or your children, i can do it two ways.
I can come up with research, present it to a compliance board, which will review the idea, the terms, the experiment, and will require special forms, consents and tons of stuff.
OR
I can pretend to know whta the hell i am talking about, despite it being illegal to do the experiments to ascertain if i am right. write big papers claiming that if we do X we will get huge rewards. then under the idea to get rewards, the state will use all its force to take those policy papers, ignore parents, self determination, right of a person not to be property of the state, and so on. and impose the SAME experiment on hundreds of kids, without needing ANY permission. with ignoring parents wishes to stop. and with state tax money to track and collect data points on outcomes.
[thats horrible, but even worse they ahve divided up the curriculum in such a way that if your taught in fashion A your a mental cripple with little ability to acquire skills to rise above a certain place. and if you get the other education, they have decided your ok for an academic career. ie, they are pretending the schools are a factory that churns out people who work for the elite]
it was Stalin who said, murder one man, its a trajedy, murder a million, its a statistic.
well, apply that to this.
to experiment on people one at a time as Josef mengele did, is a horror
to experiment on people en mass to feel power, and force peopel to things they dont want sadistically, is a social program.
in this way, we think that the horrors that we saw others live in, are normalized (another stalin term).
once normalized, then its very hard to see (as zimbardo showed) to find a moral mooring point (like religion) to wake up and understand what is really happening.
it cant happen here is only said by people who dnot get that it IS happening here already, but its normalized so they don’t notice the horror, even when done to them. [depending on social program you can get people to join the experiment!]
you want to breed X, then this is what you do. either overtly, as germany and russia did, and failed to be understood, as they thought they would be
or now, by other means with peopel who refuse to think that a rose called george is the same rose.
just as abortion as eugenics cant change to non eugenic abortion!!!!!!!!!!! all that happens is that you refuse to see that both serve demographic ends and that they suffer the sam failure of non equality as placing the places non randomly ends up fulfilling demographic designs. if it wasn’t this way, the numbers would not have continued to align with their social goals.
I will posit this one question
If the 50 million aborted whites and blacks were here and their children, would we be watching the Spanish vote communist despotism in over the diminished groups?
we are told that there are no such thing as primitive people, lower iqs, and so every conclusion that could come from that is not allowed
yet THEY know the truth that there are people like this, and lower iqs, AND That they behave demographically different… so what they promote IS known by them to fulfill their goals while at the same time we cant conclude that since we no longer are allowed to think that the fulcrum of such logic even exists. why? they told us and we said ok.

Un-freakin’-believeable. This man has no shame. If God caught him naked in the garden, he’d say it was a trick of the light.
Meanwhile here’s a link with a bit more detail:

No shame. Absolutely none!
“By what right do they…”
Might makes right to the tyrant, the means justify the ends to the fanatic and to the ‘true believer’, all is excused in pursuit of the ‘beloved’…
Hypocrisy but a morsel of indigestion, a tiny pebble underfoot, a momentary moral discomfort in pursuit of utopia.
Obama Uncertainty Principle – the properties of a citizen resource expropriation measure are dependent on audience in front of which it is being defended. The measure has properties of both a tax and a penalty. Testing it in the courts it appears as a tax and not a penalty. Tested before the election, it well predominately be a penalty. In fact, it’ll be like the tax properties aren’t even worth mentioning.

Will this or anything get through to the progressive fishbowl?
lets hope its not a 100 flowers blossoming…
This slogan was used during the period of approximately six weeks in the summer of 1957 when the Chinese intelligentsia were invited to criticize the political system then obtaining in Communist China.
The full quotation, taken from a speech of Mao’s in Peking in February 1957, is:
“Letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend is the policy for promoting progress in the arts and the sciences and a flourishing socialist culture in our land.”
It is sometimes suggested that the initiative was a deliberate attempt to flush out dissidents by encouraging them to show themselves as critical of the regime. Whether or not it was a deliberate trap isn’t clear but it is the case that many of those who put forward views that were unwelcome to Mao were executed.
ergo why people dont trust when a communist state loostens up, even with an extra premise.
they always maintain control, and so can change that status at will, and so any particular status they take is not progress in any direction, nor is a chain of them in one direction. they are conditions taken that is what is needed. any appearance of progress in a direction is wholly illusory.
Legerdemain.
On the other hand, gather the lame stream media and about 85% of the nationally elected politicans together and if Obama crapped in a cereal bowl and ate it, they would say it was a brave decision and needed to be done.
Democrats announce: “Poop” and “Pee” for 2012 nomination. First rear-gendered candidates! Banners scream, “Overcome your prejudice.” Universities hand out noseplugs and conduct ‘Being poop in a non-poop world’ seminars.
Republicans respond:
“Poop” and “Pee” will make people agree, but never will people pee and poop.
Republicans lose.
Mort Zuckerman: World Sees Obama as Incompetent and Amateur
The president is well-intentioned but can’t walk the walk on the world stage

Pondering how to respond to this post I wrote several drafts, all of which were for various reasons I rejected as incomplete. Finally I remembered this section from C.S. Lewis’s book “The Abolition of Man”:
“And all the time–such is the tragi-comedy of our situation–we continue to clamor for those very qualities we are rendering impossible. You can hardly open a periodical without coming across the statement that what our civilization needs is more ‘drive’, or dynamism, or self-sacrifice, or ‘creativity’. In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.”
We are, I believe, in for a rough ride in the not so far future. We are being lead by “men (and women) without chests”.
Amazing passage, John Frederick. I am off to re-read the book.
Remeber Milton, the Devil himself never ate of the fruit that he delivered to us.
I would add to the quote above words from another milton:
You sharpen the human appetite to the point where it can split atoms with its desire; you build egos the size of cathedrals; fiber-optically connect the world to every eager impulse; grease even the dullest dreams with these dollar-green, gold-plated fantasies, until every human becomes an aspiring emperor, becomes his own God… and where can you go from there?

No matter how good you are don’t ever let them see you coming. That’s the gaffe my friend. You gotta keep yourself small. Innocuous. Be the little guy. You know, the nerd… the leper… shit-kickin’ surfer. Look at me.
and the last quote is about god, but to statists the state is their unadmitted god.
so when milton describes god, its more a description that fits man as god not actually god for at its heart its complaining that it cant have wants as big as a universe and just fufill them no matter what they be. that with a self limit the condition described becomes untrue.
or the way it was described in freakonomic II as to capuchin monkeys. they are tiny little balls of unending want. feed them marshmallows, they will eat till they are sick, throw up, then come back for more. they are only focused on two things, food and sex… compared to what civil societies once were, we have been moved closer to capuchin than human. russia has a low birth, poor med, low life expectancy, alcoholism huge (food), and abortions constant (sex)…
when combined with the excellent quote john put up, and NOT assumed to be god of the bible, things get a bit more interesting.
and for one major reason.
if this is your view of god, what would your idea of utopia/heaven be?
remember the character talking made a utopia more to the satisfactoin of one that thinks that way.
so if people think that way, and they are building utopia, what are they building?
The OLD order..
GOD –> Kings/Politicos –> Elite –> People/serfs/slaves/etc –> scapegoats to vent on
The American Revolution
GOD –> People –> Political Employees
The Socialist Revolution AS STATED/SOLD to our VANITY
People –> Political Employees –> Economy
The Socialist Revolution AS it IS in ACTUALITY
Elite/Politicos –> People/serfs/slaves/etc –> scapegoats to vent on
I should note that in the old order family as people was orthagonal to the rest and insulated from it.
but in the socialist revolution, that arm was drawn in and so the whole of the family became part of the political property to use and tap for money (denying that branch of the system its pool of personal economy)
since our ancestors in prior educational history knew economics better, their arguments are quite vociferous and shocking to us if we read them today, for they knew no matter how you decorated a pile of crap, it was always going to be a pile a crap. something we have learned to feel superior over not realizing any more.
and i forgot to add the last part
THE communist revolution which proceeds from the socialist revolution as it is in actuality
Politicos —> People/serfs/slaves/etc —> scapegoats to vent on (Elite)
The power the elite have through their ideas is not real, its an illusion granted by being used for your poor ideas and your ideas that facilitate ends…
which is why, once ends are obtained, the elite are no longer needed, and why each of the socialist countries went and removed them. once the real power no longer listened to them, the people no longer listened to them, and so they have no place.
eventually all your left with is
politicos, and slaves…
and a boot on the neck forever
[as supplies for unrest and revolutions to change such conditions come from outside, and if they have all, there is no more outside]
Art,
Good insight on the 10:47 post about the order, or assumed order, of things in various systems
