Obama the African colonial — 26 Comments

  1. It doesn’t really add to what I think or know about the Big O, but puts him in a truly appropriate dimension. ACP beats my Obama=Chavez by a mile.

  2. The identification of Obama with third world anti-colonialists is apt only to the extent that he is the product of a Western academic/activist left-wing milieu that shares [indeed originated] much of the rhetoric and conceptual framework that many third world strongmen [many of them Western educated] use to justify their bad behavior. The roots of Obama’s thought lie not in Africa but in Columbia, Harvard, and Chicago’s activist community.

  3. That is a good insight.

I’ve been reading Jonah Goldberg’s book, “Liberal Fascism”. Despite Obama’s thorough grounding in Marxist philosophy, what we are seeing now is raw, amoral fascism.

Marxists at least attempt to justify their acts philosophically, ostensibly to help the poor (the proletariat). Fascists generally just think that society should be ruled by a self-appointed elite, and that they know what’s best. They are less concerned with the trappings of political philosophy. Obama wants total power, ultimately.

How long do we let this go on?

I am ready for just about anything right now. I’ve been saying for months, “What needs to happen needs to happen sooner rather than later.” The longer we wait, the more he solidifies his hold on power.

  5. I knew about his background two years ago. And then in late 2007 I began reading reports about his family background.

His grandparents were socialists. His mother was a Marxist. His father was a Communist. His mentor was a Communist. His college professors were Marxists. He associated with a domestic Communist terrorist. He joined a parish run by a hate-filled heretic.

Classic Red Diaper Baby who was into domination. I never detected a shred of true humanity in him.

Because – and neo as a psythotherapist would agree with me on – his authentic humanity was never respected and nurtured when he was a young boy and adolescent.

His father was not in his life.

His mother was another matter entirely, since she was the most formative influence on him for the years she was in his life. God damn her, but then again what can one say about a woman whose father gave her a male name instead of respecting her femininity.

The entire family was dysfunctional. Is it any wonder that young Barry would become a hollow human being?

  6. rickl,

Fascists are Marxists who have given up on any faith that the people can advance their own liberation. They are Marxists who have lost patience with the people who are so counterrevolutionary. Obama is a Marxist to the core, but sees himself as the way Lenin saw himself, as Trotsky saw himself, as Stalin saw himself, as Mussolini saw himself, as Hitler saw himself, as Mao saw himself, as Ho saw himself, as Pol Pot saw himself…

  7. fredhjr,
obamas pedigree actually goes farther back. read about his uncle in kenya and the school. within a short time of opening, the end was sealed.

i covered it in this thread

Although, Kenyatta was the only other trustee of the institute besides Odinga, the President didn’t know that Lumumba Institute was part of a communist plot to train radicals who would later stage a coup within the ruling party, Kanu, to replace the West-leaning politicians with a new cabal led by Odinga.

And on July 16, 1965, some 16 days after the first batch of 84 students graduated from the institute, they staged a “coup” at the Kanu headquarters, then at Nairobi’s Mfang’ano Street, and ostensibly “removed” the entire Kanu leadership apart from Kenyatta and Odinga.

  8. “a woman whose father gave her a male name instead of respecting her femininity.”

It looks to me like there’s a family history of, shall we be charitable and say “eccentricity?”

  9. OB:

“a woman whose father gave her a male name instead of respecting her femininity.”

It looks to me like there’s a family history of, shall we be charitable and say “eccentricity?”

Recall that Obama’s Dunham grandfather as a young child discovered his mother’s body after she committed suicide. Most likely his naming his daughter, Obama’s mother, with a masculine name, was an attempt to deal with this.

Such as the fear that as his mother committed suicide, the tendency to do so would be passed on to his daughter, and giving his daughter a masculine name would help erase that tendency. By magic, giving her daughter a masculine name would help insulate her from the suicidal tendencies of her grandmother.

  10. “How long do we let this go on?”

Yes, br549, just how long do we let this go on? How long do we let this go on BEFORE WE ARE FORCED TO DO SOMETHING?

If you know what I mean.

“I am ready for just about anything right now. ”

Right on, rickl. I, too, am ready FOR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING.

If you know what I mean.

“What needs to happen needs to happen sooner rather than later.”

Exactly. WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN better happen sooner rather than later.

If you know what I mean.

Good thing we’ve got this code we can talk in!

  11. Black Africans hove no justification in critisising Colonialists and slavers. there is no African country where the people are better off or safer than they were under Colonial rule. After over 50 years of despotic RACIST black rulers have destroyed and looted what the Colonialists built. Tribalism is the most despicable form of RACISM on the planet and its ugly head has torn apart Africa since time began and was only controlled by the Colonialists. Similarly the white man did not take slavery to Africa he went there and found it flourishing as it had done for hundreds of years prior to any white man being there and as it STILL does today. Arabs were the slave traders who brought the slaves from the interior to the ports as they had done so for hundreds of years and the coming of Islam did not change it one bit Allah allows slavery. Mohammedans are STILL taking slaves in Africa today but its only the white man who gets blamed but it was ONLY the white man who outlawed slavery and fought wars to stop it. Such is the hypocrisy of the ‘neolib’ white guilt proponents and their hypocritical Black buddies.

  12. The hard part about talking about Obama is that he is nothing, therefore he can also be all things. That is the parent article is correct, Artfldgr is correct, Gringo is correct, and even our trolls are correct. They can all argue all the day long about what they see and why the other is wrong and, at the end of the day, I think they are all correct with respect to what we see.

That being said eventually the “real” Obama will show – or rather that Obama is truly nothing will be apparent. As long as we try and fill him with some substance he wins – he can clearly show he isn’t that bad thing and has all these nice characteristics of something we like. Reality is that whatever label you put on him is *not* that.

The Wizard can only hide behind the curtains until someone finally pulls them away – it may be that it takes another election cycle for it to happen, it may be within the next months – I dunno. Right now everyone is trying to get him labeled as what they want and that plays 100% into his ideas – as nothing he can be anything as needed.

Once we quit arguing whether the Emperor with no Clothes is wearing a stylish outfit or a gaudy one and realize that he has nothing then, well, that’s the end of that Emperor. Right now there are too many with too much invested in the Emperor wearing a certain type of clothes – even if they understand he isn’t wearing any it is *still* seen as better off pretending he has some one. Until then he will parade around and act like he has a an expensive set on whilst those without a care (say, Iran, France, Great Britain, etc) will take advantage of the situation until it is too obvious.

I do not really know if I look forward too or dread that day – indeed I think it is a combination of both. It’s like a crack addict who is on the cusp of understanding his addiction is deadly and *is* an addiction. It isn’t a pleasant day, it isn’t a pleasant idea, but if one is going to move forward then one has to realize this and all the warts that go along with it (or choose that the crack is so good one doesn’t care if they die as long as the fantasy is held until the end – a real choice even for a country).

  13. ABC is under WH control, as is the census, as is acorn.

We have the mid terms coming up, and 2012 after that.
They are all we have to turn this around, or at least limit the damage. The whirlwind speed he is a -hopin’ and a – changin’ may leave the mid terms and 2012 with being too little too late.

Obama is being analyzed until we are all blue in the face, and not only on this blog. But nothing is being done, and his agenda is unscathed. There is nothing we can do before the aforementioned election dates come up – unless civil disobedience becomes involved, on a mass scale. I’m not so sure I am brave enough to participate in that. I have children. I don’t see one single, solitary person around me who seems to be. How then, can this insanity be stopped?

  14. br549, organize, write, keep the facts straight, discourage people who give the Left ammunition with wild or intemperate talk. Contest the Leftist narrative at every point with facts and logic. Resist social pressure to conform.

As a Republican, I add, work for the reformation of the Republican Party. Make the tent bigger.

  15. We are re-learning the fact that being an American is not a spectator sport. Still, everyone seems to be waiting for someone else. We all need to act, Oblio. All of us.

  16. br549:
Yes, we are all still waiting. But the pressure is building, the boiler is overheating, and at some sudden and possibly unforeseen point, it will explode. Kinda like Iran. Of course, the outcome there, and here, is uncertain. We are dealing with some truly bad people who will not go quietly into their good nights.

  17. I know a lot of people from Nigeria and it’s always the case that the think the Deomcratic party is a good thing because they “give to people”. Most of the Nigerian people I know are very entrepenural, and most own their own business. When I ask their reason for coming to America, the response is always the same. American opportunity and problems of poverty and corruption in Nigeria. I ask that how can you vote against every reason why you are here. You came here to experience success based on your individual work and talent, you work hard to educate your kids. Most are very strong Christians attending church at least two times per week. So I ask, how can you go and pull the lever for someone that goes against everything you believe in? I questioned a group of woman, just out of chuch following Obamas victory. They were chanting “praise God” and thanking him for Obama’s victory. My question was, you call yourself Christians, yet you just voted for the cadidiate that argued that a post birth abortion should be allowed. At first they didn’t believe, but I said oh those that believe without seeing, then said go home and check it out. They did, the silence was deafening. One of woman owns a store in MA, I said your Black Liberal Gov is giving free cars, free insurance, free repairs, and free aaa membership to welfare recipients, yet she had just said how she was struggling. She didn’t believe me, I told her to read the article in the Boston Herald. She did, was upset, asking how this could happen. My reply–easy, by pulling the lever for a liberal candidate that was voted in becasue of his race as opposed to his political beliefs. I pointed out that the US Gov’t does not sell or mfg. anything, the only way they get money for all of these give aways, latest the health care give away, is through taxing working individuals. I had to laugh, she said, but Obama promised not to tax people earning less than 250,000. My reply, ok so you approve of taking from some, isn’t that how it works in Nigeria?
Last point I made, the middle class is the largest group of tax payers in the country, guess who uillutimately pay those taxes for the “Free Health Ins?” She looked at me a little disturbed and said, in my country—-STOP I said. This is your country now!! And I find that to be a major problem with immigrants from Africa, they always refer to “their country”, willing to run back if things don’t work out here. So there votes affect us forever, but they go home with the wealth made here.

  18. We have had warning after warning on Obama. Everybody is trying to figure out why he is doing these policy moves that make no sense to the ordinary thinking citizen. They simply do not add up ror someone trying to lay a positive ground work to make our ecnomy roll.

This article gives us even more insight to why Obama acts and governs the way he does. I am convinced that many people feel that he is not on our side as Americans. His policies are very obvious when he gives the UAW 55 percent of Chrysler and makes the people who took the risk out to be greedy and unethical. There are so many examples of this with the latest being his joy and praise over the house ramming down the Cap and Trade Bill the other night.

Folks this President is not on our side, he wants the majority of Americans to pay for what he feels is the unjust behavior that he thinks have been done to other nations. You can tell he knows nothing of people who have risen to the top due to hard work and taking risks to get where they are. That is a foreign concept to him. He feels all the successful people were somehow cheated or were handed their opportunities unfairly. How much more has to happen for people to understand Obama wants to turn us into his own idea of what this wonderful country should be. Who wants to wait around and see just how low he wants to make us. This has to stop now.

  19. Well, I guess we all can see the real agenda of Obama, and his real talent at work.
We know he was a community organizer, and know he is utilizing those talents with our kids.
September 8th, national homage to Obama day as he addresses every government school class, complete with lesson plans provided to teachers by your friendly Federal Board of Education.
Teachers will prep the class with recomended books to read on Obama, then following the video will ask engaging questions such as:
What has President Obama done to inspire you? And How can I help the president?
Talk about getting them while they are young.
Chavez thought Obama was left of him when he nationalized GM, but who knew he was left of Mao Tse Tung?
Maybe following the speech the teachers can announce to the kids that they have a gift for them from the President Obama. The proceed to hand out brown shirts with an Obama logo on the sleeve, it could then be made part of the mandatory dress code for the school.
Amzing how in a democracy people get exactly what they vote for…
check out more from the shark.

  20. VERY interesting!

My take on the Mess, even before the 2008 election, was that he wanted to be a cross between Mugabe and Bruce Springsteen….

    Just sayin’.
