Meet Obama’s female doppleganger, Baldilocks — 8 Comments

  1. Baldilocks is an important voice of conscience. I’ve admired her for some time.

Obama’s empty promise to the Kenyan school reminds of an empty campaign promise to build a “greenspace” in political opponent Bobby Rush’s Chicago neighborhood. Barack’s campain aide took control of $250,000 in public funds designated for the greenspace. That $250,000 never planted a flower. Barack promised to raise $2M in private funds to complete the greenspace. After he lost the race to Bobby Rush, Barack never followed through on his promise to raise private funds.

  2. I must correct! I’ve such a bad and illogical habit of writing quickly and from memory, then publishing, then researching AFTER I’ve already published. It is a sloppy way of doing things, and I apologize.

The taxpayer money for the greenspace/landscaping/garden was $100,000, not $200,000.

The money Obama promised to raise privately was $1.1M, not $2M.

I will do better in future.

  3. ugh, in the correction, I said $200,000 when I should’ve said $250,000.

No more writing stuff today! Just beer, baseball, conversation, and sleep. This day has limitations.

  4. Just got back from visiting her site.

I wonder if she would want to run for president? She is at least as qualified as Obama.

  5. I’ve somehow found my way to her site before but never knew any of the parallels. Rather astonishing (as huge as it is, this world can indeed be a very small place). Not to mention how interesting is the divergence in the direction of their lives….

Not that I was ever impressed with Obama, nor did I ever “get” the charismatic attraction he seems to hold over so many, but it just gets “interesting-er and interesting-er” as we learn more and more about all the pledges and promises Obama did NOT keep, goals he did NOT achieve, responsibilities he did not fulfill. Are all those accolytes of his so unaware of his lengthy (and seemingly ever-growing) “NOT Done” list? (Rhetorical. I know they don’t care. Actually, more, they just don’t want to know). But, ummmm, uhhhhhh, well-l-l-l-l….this is the Presidency of the United States we’re talking about!

  6. Huh, I didn’t know Baldilocks was black.

Of course, for a long time, I didn’t know she was female, either.

I don’t much care, come to think of it…she’s not a friend, and it’s not needed to understand her writing because she uses logic and reason instead of some kind of funky perspective.

    Am amused, thought….

  7. I’ve been reading her stuff even longer than I’ve been visiting here; interesting parallel, although she seems to have “gotten it” along the way…unlike Obama.

  8. Foxfier,

She has a picture on her blog. And she also has talked about Kenya, and mentioned her husband.
