Bush and Brown: not joined at the hip, but still…
Take a look at this video. I was struck by the similarity of the two men’s strides and posture. Look particularly at the part where Bush crosses over to the right of the screen (Brown’s left) and they separate a bit (it begins at around 00:53 and lasts till they start speaking).
As an ex-dancer, I tend to notice body language more than most people. When I first saw this clip it seemed to me that the two men were walking with such a similar gait, and are of such similar size and stature, that from afar they would be nearly indistinguishable.
What are they conveying? Resolve and energy, and a certain arm-swinging—and, in the case of Bush, ever-so-slightly bowlegged—athleticism (or ex-athleticism), as well as that vaunted Anglo-American togetherness that seems to still have currency. As Bush says in his address, men who “really want to get something done.”
You may or may not agree, of course, with that “something,” or how it was defined by Bush: “an obligation to work for freedom and justice around the world.” But I think you can see in the way they walk that they believe they want to get something done.
Not joined at the hip, it’s true. But perhaps not so far apart after all.
So how does His Lordship feel about neo-neocons?
It might be hard to find real neo-cons in Britland.
Bush is funny.
Bush’s problem is that he thinks the Democrats wants to help him protect the American people and wants to fight brutal killers.
We’re actually in two ideological wars. The heirs of Marxist-Lenism, called the Islamic Jihad. And the ugly step-children of Marxist-Lenism, which is the democratic socialism and utopia of the Left.
Or maybe one war with two ideological fronts. Bush never actually answers “whose tyranny” of poverty.
Also Brown’s tone is rather serious and stately even while Bush’s tone of voice is exasperated and joking.
Bush has some good points but he has to sink them in into the media flesh. Bush talks about killers killing women and children to convince viewers. Bush does NOT mention that it is the media that actively seeks out jihadist propaganda videos and images in order to boost their own petty greed and egos.
Bush needs to hit them hard, to make them pay attention. He cannot afford to be seen as the clown or the fool or the whatever.
I’m not even asking for anything the media has not done to Bush already.
Bush is funny, as I said. I wish he would act like a killer himself and be seen as one, the executioner of evil men.
Nobody’s scared of the funny guy. But they will be scared by the crazed eye true believer that will wipe you all out if you get in his way.
Btw, Bush could play the Evil cop and good cop routine quite well. Meaning, either you deal with Gordon Brown’s calmness or you deal with America the crazy gun loving folks.
As a hypothetical answer to the question of how Gordan Brown will be “different” to Tony Blair, here is my view.
Just say that Gordon Brown won’t be Bush’s poodle. Rather, Gordon will make sure the Americans don’t wipe out whole peoples and nations and regimes because Americans are feisty like that, especially the Bush (Hitler).
Negotiations are often helped by the dual system of good guy and bad guy. The bad guy acts as a motivation for why the media, public, other governments should make deals with the good guy, GOrdon. Because the alternative, the bad guy, is too horrible to conceive.
People been using this as a negotiation advantage for a long time now. We’re not even talking about the advanced psychological weapons; good and bad duos have been in use by almost everybody. They do the same when they sue you for not paying your bills because they know that lawsuits cost more than paying your bills.

People can accuse the powerless of many things and it doesn’t matter whether you become it or not, since the powerless can’t do anything about it. Libby could become a liar and leaker in truth but that won’t help him because he is without power, compared to the Left and the character assassins surely. But Bush, Bush has power. Even if it is for a few more years.
People say Bush is Hitler precisely because Bush doesn’t act like Hitler. Human psychology is weird like that. If Bush ever became Hitler or some such protoype, then the folks that said he wasn’t, would say he was, and the folks that said he was, would say that he was their bestest friend in the owrld.
Just like the Left said Hugo was just looking out for the folks when he closed down the media stations. Just as they celebrate Che Guevara.
The reason, as people well know, why jihadists do car bombs and kill civilians is because it shocks Westerners psychologically. This is why they go on about Bush as well. Innocent people being accused of horrendous crimes inevitably remain shocked and unable to defend themselves. They are too busy trying to prove their innocence.
The Islamic Jihad has the Left convinced that America is the the source of the problem, that if we left Iraqis would stop dying. And the Left has Americans convinced that it is our killing the terrorists that bring on the violence and rage, that it is the Right that is guilty, not the Left. The Left has convinced many people that if you kill evil folks, YOU are guilty.
Remember the John Doe bill that was decapitated by the Left and their allies in our Congress. You are the guilty in the eyes of the Left. If you open your mouth and try to speak out against terror, you will be the one in legal trouble.
The Left is obviously prey to the Islamic Jihad because the IJ’s psychological warfare is superior to the Left’s. And that is why Republicans are preyed upon by the Left, because the Left has superior psychological warfare than the Repubs.
In the end, guilt and defensiveness are not the ways to victory. Attack, attack, and attack some more. The Left knows that they will bend under real power, because that was the entire point of their creation by the Soviets. Use that.
