It’s that time again: Sanity Squad podcast
This week the Sanity Squad discusses the phenomenon of equal opportunity victimhood: demands (by the Muslim Council of Britain, for example) for the replacement of Holocaust Memorial Day with the more inclusive “Genocide Day.” Along the way we discuss a few other items such as Kerry at Davos, the Holocaust against animals, and Jimmy Carter and his “too many Jews.”
Listen to myself, Shrinkwrapped, and Dr. Sanity; and hear Siggy get even more fired up than usual.
Interesting podcast. Now I have a voice to put behind the apple. I’m sure, of course, they(proponents of “all inclusive” Genocide Day) don’t really mean “ALL” inclusive. Otherwise we’d have to list Muslim genocide of Armenians, Muslim genocede of Jews(in “Palestine”, Levant, Iraq, Iran 640A.D. to present), Muslim genocide of Buddhists( Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Burma), Muslim genocide of Hindi and Sikh(most countries above and India, Bangladesh), Muslim genocide of Bengalis(India, Bangladesh, Burma), Muslim genocide of Copts(Egypt, “Palestine”, Levant), Muslim genocide of Syrian Christians(Levant, “Palestine”, Balkans, Anatolia), Muslim genocide of African Christians and animists(Darfur, Egypt, Ethiopia, Somalia), Muslim genocide of Greeks(Greece, Cyprus, Anatolia), Muslim genocide of European Christians(Balkans, Poland, Caucausus, Chechnya, Russia, Hungary, Austria, Spain, France, Malta, Sicily). Oh, I forgot, Jewish “genocide” in “Palestine”(just to be all inclusive).
By the way, ONLY for the sake of “brevity” is above list incomplete. Please feel free to list others if I have neglected others.
Haraahaman. Did you pocking see where kerry was looking at… Straight At the Camera hah. Man, talk about psychological disorders.
Yep, ymarsakar, it was Teresa who seemed to be part of any discussion, while the supersoldier lokked like the superposer. BTW, which condiment are we talking about: Heinz, or French’s?
Kerry’s got a self-aggrandizing problem called narcissism. He can’t avoid attention from others, he seeks it, as the moth seeks the light. It is his ketchup.
Hey neo, why do your like “other visitors” never (at least to my recollection) inveigh against your SS casts?
Are they worried about falling prey to the notorious siren call of your voice, do they fear falling to the Dark Side….?
Or… are they frustrated beyond comparison to being unable… just Unable to interrupt and get attention. They are a ghost, ephemeral.
I don’t even believe your most notorious critics, Neo, even listen to your casts.
Another good obvsvervation, ymarsakar. Notice the volume of responses to “Cold Hubris” article from lefties measured against responses to this posting.
Although, I must also admit, with the exception of my first response, NO ONE seems to have any comments about what was discussed in the cast itself. Most seem to focus on the photo of Kerry at Davos.
I’m not sure why there aren’t more comments about podcasts. My guess, though, is that a great many people who like blogs primarily are visual learners rather than auditory ones, or at least they prefer visual (by which, in this case, I mean writing). Listening to something is very different–goes at a different pace, etc. Perhaps there’s not a whole lot of overlap between those who read and comment on a blog (whether supporters or trolls) and those who like to listen to podcasts.
Maybe grownups with jobs find it easier to browse a webpage than listen to an audio broadcast while in the office?
Get a job, slackers!
Anon, if you are browsing webpages at work, you are clearly not doing your job. Sounds to me like you’re the slacker soaking the time-clock.
Most seem to focus on the photo of Kerry at Davos.
I’m giving Neo a break from my comments at her cast, until I can come up with something more streamlined to say.
When Siggy says “They are Full of SH*T”
it is pretty amusing. Because he almost says it in a oratory sort of way (with higher tone at end).
I have listened to a couple of the podcasts, and commented on them, but find them a tad slow. The truth is that neo, much as I vehemently disagree with her, produces much more considered work than the other two who tend to rant. As a collective it all gets a bit knowing and encourages all concerned to make some pretty sweeping comments.
Sweep away, Neo, sweep away. Somebody has to take out the trash, and the SS shall do it.
Well, I know I’ve always been much more of a visual learner…auditory information just doesn’t sink in the same way, and my attention tends to wander.
In fact, the only way my attention does NOT wander is if I play solitaire or some such while I listen (In school it was doodling -hear that teachers? LET THEM DOODLE!). I know my kids always had better retention of what I read to them if they had something relatively mindless to keep their hands busy..coloring, play dough, etc.
So, no, I don’t like listening as opposed to reading. I’d probably rather read a transcript of the discussion! 🙂
I do, however like the SS discussions and the interplay enough to go to the trouble :). I listen to them, but rarely comment on them.
