The Sanity Squad: we’re baaack!
The second podcast of the illustrious Sanity Squad is now up at the new and redesigned Pajamas Media site.
My “s” and “f” sounds aren’t really as hissy as they sound; I’m still trying to find a good mic position that doesn’t distort my voice. I’m also trying to rid myself of my new and inexplicable love affair with the word “um” (is it a word? Well, at least I sound contemplative).
Guess the origins of Siggy’s accent, and you may be the one to win our prize.
Thanks for doing the podcasts–I am really enjoying them.
I was breathing right along with you lol — good cast 🙂
Apparently, um is a word, yes.
These are hard to make perfecto — working with digital media can be very much a trial and error exercise. I’m trying to stream FLV (Flash Movies) from weblogs/websites … I can make the FLV files with the controls [using Camtasia] but it breaks everything out into separate files [.xml, .html, 2 .swf (the movie and the controller) and a .gif] Ohhhh God.
For the mic recording try this: this …of course it’s expensive so think about improvising on this model by using a cloth, or maybe even Fluffy or Snoddles … just kidding.

Siggy’s accent = my guess is Yonkers?
Keep up the good work.
Try a wind screeen or sock for the mic to cut down on sibilants.
