The day after
I’m taking the day off from posting today, except for this note.
Black Friday’s shopping malls aren’t for me. This is the day of turkey soup and turkey sandwiches, cold pie for breakfast, and lingering guests lingering over turkey soup and turkey sandwiches and cold pie. It was cold and brisk and clear, unlike the wretched dreary snow/rain of yesterday, and so we went out for a walk, which probably worked off at least one ounce of the weight gained during the Thanksgiving feast.
Hope that today you did whatever it was you wanted to do. See you tomorrow!
Well, I had to work, so …
I work in a Wal-Mart. Actually, although it was VERY busy, it wasn’t a ‘Snake Pit’ as I expected it to be. Maybe the folks in Largo are better behaved than the ones in Orlando, etc. But you have to wonder about the minds of people who camp out to get in the doors first thing. Are they really surprised if someone shoves them out of the way? How dumb do you have to be to clamber into the middle of that? Yeesh!
I survived a ‘Black Friday’ at Wal-Mart. Heheheee!
They call it Black Friday for good reason so i avoid malls et al today. 🙂
