The three hostages released today were obviously starving — 22 Comments

  1. Outrage, outrage, are you kidding? What did people think these people would look like ( they’re alive) They were hostages, taken by armed force!

  2. I know what to do, quick another candle-light vigil, that’ll make them realize what they did.

  3. People lot smarter than me here, I bet I get answer quick: What would be the minimum trigger pull in lbs?

  4. Sennacherib:

These hostages were in much worse shape than the other hostages released in this phase. I think that’s why some people were surprised at their condition.

I suspect the hostages are being released in order of best condition first.

Which means this is going to be a grim parade.

God bless them and keep them.

  6. Neo,
These people are hostages taken by force. A lot of people are shocked, in a sense the problem is in them ( the shocked)!

  7. its curious how the so palestinians have made so much hay of internecine massacres like sabra and shatila, and rare instances like deir yassin, where some israeli partisans may have gone overboard, this is part of their catechism as far back as one novel the balfour conspiracy, to le carre’s little drummer girl to daniel silva (the latter relies on benny morris, first level revisionist historian)

clearly the echoes of what those hostages, parents and grand parents experienced in the camps, ring to today, and its a contrast with the hale and hearty ex
    palestinian prisoners,

  8. Of course the taking of hostages, and their mistreatment, are all war crimes, even when they don’t come back half-starved, or in coffins.

  9. These people don’t understand Americans, I think Neo and the people that populated this blog are top-notch even if Neo has to whack me. What is needed is Arik not Ariel

I agree. And that is part of their vicious calculations. The terrorists realize that people tend to pay more attention at the beginning. So at the beginning, they return the pretty girls, who are also in reasonable shape. That gets a lot of attention and many people say, “oh, I guess the hostages weren’t treated so badly.” By the time the walking skeletons come, there’s less coverage of the whole thing.

  11. And no word about the release of the Bibas children and their mother … yes, the Palis are being sadistic about this.

Oh, and what Miguel C said above.

I honestly don’t think I could hate Hamas and the Palis any more than I do, now.

  12. “And yet the international community has been complaining that it’s the Palestinians who are starving. I have yet to see one in the crowds who looks as though that’s true.” – Neo

My observations as well. I look at the videos of the Palestinians in refugee camps. They look well-fed and well-clothed. Not like they’re enduring a lack of the necessities for everyday living. Then I remember UNRW is on the job, and it makes sense.

On the other hand, I see the photos of the infrastructure, and it reminds me of WWII in spades. Without a great deal of supplies, the Gazans would look like starving hobos or worse.

What’s clear is that Hamas and their supporters know they can’t win in a fair fight. So, they intend to win the propaganda war, believing they can turn the world against Israel. They’re fooling some, but I believe that anyone who knows the history of the region going back to Biblical times, and especially the history since WWI, know that Israel is a proper homeland for the Jewish people.

I’m thankful these men are alive, and hope all the hostages, dead or alive, are soon returned.

    Hamas delenda est.

  13. You know…I thought POTUS Trump’s “proposal, suggestion, thought bubble” about the US taking over Gaza was a bit wacky…But I’m on board now.
To hell with the 2-state “solution” that isn’t. Scatter the remaining self-identified Palestinians to the 4 winds into every Muslim state and Ireland. No right of return. Leave or die.

  15. I think I may write to my Israeli cousin and see what he thinks. It seems to me that the vicious cycle of jihadis taking hostages and then getting ten times their number out of prison could be stopped if the Israelis began executing terrorists who have killed Israelis shortly after their convictions.
