Another hearing: Tulsi Gabbard
Here are some of her remarks:

Gabbard is another example of someone who was the victim of persecution, this time by the intelligence community, who now has a good chance of attaining a position of leadership over that community.
Trump, the MISOGYNIST!
Democrats, the supporters of women!!…when it suits ‘em…
Are the off-topic ritual denunciations demanded at these hearings intended to generate soundbites for political campaigns, or is there some other reason?
Kennedy has been asked to denounce Trump for not believing in climate change (and to denounce a onesie), Patel has been asked to denounce that the 2020 election was stolen, and Gabbard was asked to denounce Edward Snowden as a “traitor” (which of course in the US has a specific meaning defined in the Constitution, thanks to abuse of the term in Colonial times).
It seems to me that the Dems are getting much more vicious in their “questions”.
”Are the off-topic ritual denunciations demanded at these hearings intended to generate soundbites for political campaigns, or is there some other reason?”
I suspect at this point it’s just an expression of their hatred.
These confirmation hearings have little to do with the Senate’s advice and consent responsibility. These are nationally-broadcast character assassinations.
EVERYTHING the Democrats do is a “nationally-broadcast character [assassination]…”
Especially when it comes to the country they
purportedly lovetruly hate and wish toprotectdestroy…(But then they’ve been able to “transform”—i.e., pervert—language so successfully that the only way to understand what they’re trying to tell us is to believe—methodically, consistently—the very opposite of what they’re saying…)
File under: Boy, do they ever respect that Orwell dude, or what?!
Do the donkeys think this a good look for them?
so snowden was a ‘traitor’ but the Times the Post and the Journal, not to mention Spiegel and the Guardian, haven’t returned the pulitzers garnered from those revelations,
in point of fact, the Progs go by O’Brien’s maxim ‘power obtained by power’s sake’
not for any altruistic purpose,
so accountability is not on the menu, well perhaps as an or d’oerve, not a main course,
so the usual sources like me too suspect glenn thrush and natalie bertrand, repeat the same lies, about patel gabbard, and co,
Looks like the GOPe Sen Cornyn is going to be the one to sink Gabbard’s nomination. Along with the Ds, the GOPe needs to be crushed.
Not sure about her characterization of the reasons for going to war against Iraq.
Watching the inspectors talking to congress, it looked as if the issue was how fast Sadaam could reconstitute his chemical weapons program, among other things. Basically, too fast to stop. He’d done it before, had the “human capital” and was getting the money.
He didn’t have yellowcake, until he did and the stupid Bush administration wasn’t guarding it and the Iraqis were in danger; taking it for potting soil or something.
Shipped just short of six tons of the stuff to a processing facility near Montreal in 2004. That he didn’t have, just ask the media/dems.
