So, would you ever wear the ring again? — 6 Comments
I think I’d be more concerned in this situation:
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A Tennessee man’s body is being exhumed to remove dentures that belong to another man after a mix-up at a Chattanooga hospital.
Parkridge Medical Center spokeswoman Alison Counts told The Chattanooga Times Free Press that the body of 76-year-old Kenneth Ray Manis will be exhumed after his family learned the dentures belonged to an intensive care patient who shared the same hospital room.
Court records obtained by the newspaper showed Manis died on June 12. The dentures were with personal items placed inside his coffin. Counts said Manis’ family asked that the dentures be removed.
The hospital has apologized and will be paying for new dentures, as well as reburial costs and attorney’s fees. The hospital declined to identify the patient who lost his dentures.
The repairmans probably relieved the xray tech didn’t spot the husbands wallet and checkbook.
Sure, if I had such a thing. Do you throw the baby away after he messes his diaper. No, you wash him off, and then wash the baby poop off your hands. And ring.
What, your nice diamond would suddenly cast a brown light?
Since every Sunday I treat myself to a special cup of kopi luwak, how can I have a problem with something that has no actual bearing other than superstition of contamination / violation?
My family keeps bringing me some as a very special gift for someone they like when they come for a visit, or hear someone else is, and so send some.
Kopi luwak
or civet coffee, is one of the world’s most expensive and low-production varieties of coffee. It is made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract A civet eats the berries for their fleshy pulp. In its stomach, proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans, making shorter peptides and more free amino acids. Passing through a civet’s intestines the beans are then defecated, keeping their shape. After gathering, thorough washing, sun drying, light roasting and brewing, these beans yield an aromatic coffee with much less bitterness, widely noted as the most expensive coffee in the world.
funny thing is that a person may already have such, if they have an old ring… miners used to swallow diamonds before they xrayed them to get them back
That story’s a gentle reminder of the old adage, “All things shall pass.”
I most surely would wear the ring again. My beloved Laborador ate some really strange things, like a remote control and also a pair of diamond stud earrings. Retrieved the studs with chopsticks after they made their journey back into the sunshine. I then cleaned them many many times; first with dishwashing liquid and toothbrush, then with ammonia soaks and another toothbrush.
