One standard for allegations against Republicans… — 28 Comments

  1. In the end, it comes down to the grievance hierarchy and the optics of the cult of diversity.

Northam is being shoved out because he is a white male and because Fairfax is black. If Fairfax were white, the tidal wave of demands for Northam’ ouster would slow to a trickle.

Fairfax is protected because he is black and might soon “make history” (every single thing a minority in politics does is “making history” in the progressive jargon of cliches). That his accuser is also black is of no significance; he is untouchable.

Who is next in line behind Fairfax anyway? Probably not a POC. Thus, Fairfax is utterly untouchable.

This is the reality of leftist identity politics. Expect to see scenarios like this played out exponentially more often in the near future.

  2. Ha, Ha, this stuff in Virginia is getting most interesting ~ and this comes to mind.

    Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn and caldron bubble.
    Fillet of a fenny snake,
    In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
    Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,
    Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

    Double, double toil and trouble;
    Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.

    Ha, Ha……

  3. One standard for allegations against Republicans…

Or as J.R.R. Tolkien once wrote:

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them…

  4. I don’t know if this accusation against Fairfax is true. What is clear is that the Washington Post and other media outlets are treating it entirely differently than they did uncorroborated accusations against Kavanaugh.

  5. Steve Walsh has the truth of it — shut up when your opponent is destroying himself. But it sure is fun to watch them squirm!

  6. I agree with Steve Walsh, about Fairfax and about Northam. Let the Democrats eat their own.

  7. Stupid Virginians oughta’ve elected Cuccinelli for governor in 2013.

Hard to disagree with any of the foregoing comments. Even the Bard’s!

  8. on innocence till proven guilty:

The wedding ceremony came to the point where the minister asked if anyone had anything to say concerning the union of the bride and groom.

The moment of utter silence was broken when a beautiful young woman carrying a child stood up. She starts walking slowly towards the minister.

The congregation was aghast – you could almost hear a pin drop. The groom’s jaw dropped as he stared in disbelief at the approaching young woman and child. Chaos ensued. The bride threw the bouquet into the air and burst out crying. Then the groom’s mother fainted. The best men started giving each other looks and wondering how to save the situation.

The minister asked the woman, “Can you tell us, why you came forward? What do you have to say?” There was absolute silence in the church.

The woman replied, “We can’t hear you in the back.”

And that illustrates what happens when people are considered guilty until proven innocent.

  9. by the way, given the way politics leads to wars, revolution, etc… do we really want the gossip queens of human biology working our system? cause thats what we have, and its a freaking free for all, and there is no brakes on this machine… have you noticed… if you think ovens are out of the question, then you dont know much, cause even the germans would not have suggested voluntary infanticide.. though Ernst Rudin (kind of forgotten), really loved the cryptic version… after all, if you dont have respect for your cows, why tell them the truth, you only need them to cooperate… dont you…

  10. This gets even better:

Fairfax said the woman wanted him to meet her mother, but he acknowledged he did not have any documentary evidence to back up his claim that they stayed in touch after the ‘04 sexual encounter at the DNC

He was working as the body man at the time to John Edwards, then the VP nom

  11. Artfldgr- Regarding your 7:38 pm comment…

To be honest, normally I don’t read your comments because they’re too darn long, but that one was pretty good.

  12. Artful, at 7:38 pm — LOL!!

Also, people have a tendency to jump to the worst conclusion they can think of. I speak from experience.

  13. A resolution has been introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz this week that calls out Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Eric Holder, amongst other combatants of President Trump for lying to Congress and escaping punishment.

Gaetz “Justice for All” resolution highlights lies from the likes of Clinton and Comey that have gone unpunished, saying that the U.S must treat everyone equally when this occurs.

“Unfortunately, it often seems that we have a two-tiered justice system at work; certain people have the book thrown at them, while others face no consequences at all for their behavior,” he said.

“This is unfair and wrong, and I hope to correct this with my resolution.”

His resolution said that lying to Congress must be “prosecuted equitably,” noting multiple cases where Trump’s opponents may have escaped justice.

Hillary Clinton famously told Congress there was “nothing marked classified on my emails, either sent or received.”

But the statement was later proven as false by the FBI and the Office of Inspector General, according to the resolution. The resolution also called out t former FBI Director James Comey who claimed he never authorized anyone to leak information to the media. But according to a report from the Office of Inspector General, Comey’s claims where “indicating his response was likely untrue.”

Former Attorney General Eric Holder was also called out for giving false testimony about the “Fast and Furious” gun-running operation, amongst other cases.

  14. And of course, the grandest of ’em all: (Sweet) Loretta Lynch—yes, she of “Let’s take a walk on the tarmac fame”—pleading the Fifth Amendment regarding questions made by a Congressional investigation on the legality of monetary transfers made by the Obama Administration’s to its ally, the Islamic Republic(!) of Iran.

Sweet AND discreet! (To be sure, she was only the Attorney General of the United States at the time.)

As for Hillary’s false statements, well I’m sure she FELT they were true. Which is, these days, all that’s required…. (Cue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdHTMLiUAZ8)

Yes, it’s becoming incredibly entertaining. Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3! ad infinitum…ad nauseum

Or even more so (as down, down, down the rabbit hole we go):

    Downward, ever downward:

…as the Democrats—madder and madder—and their MSM torch-bearers endeavor to bring us the best in entertainment, surpassing themselves time and time again, since no matter what—the show MUST go on!!

  15. Progressives, liberals, and left of center are notoriously Pro-Choice, selective, opportunistic, politically congruent.

  16. Barry & Tom – thanks for the links.
You know you’ve crossed into Bizarro World when the Bee makes more sense than most MSM stories.

    From the Cincinnati post:

“We want to change the conversation. We don’t want this to happen again,” McMurtry said. “We want to teach people a lesson.”

He went on to say the lesson that is the media cannot state as fact things that aren’t true.

“There was a rush by the media to believe what it wanted to believe versus what actually happened,” McMurtry said.

They won’t learn that lesson, of course, because this is not the first time they have been burned for lying, and they kept it up today.*
But now we are seeing more publicity when they do it.

*continuing the tradition of Fake Fact Checks

“NPR manages to find a way to criticize @POTUS for one of the best, most genuine non-partisan moments of the night.

Just for a minute, could we put the bias down. It will surely be there for you later.”
