Trump arrives… — 7 Comments

  1. What is great is that there are videos of Trump supporters showing up at the anti-Trump demonstrations to say they support Trump.

Given that many of the left resort to violence whenever someone disagrees with them it takes a lot of moxie to show up just to say you support Trump.

    God bless ’em!

  2. I assume you don’t mean the beige day dress, but rather the yellow ballgown with the off-the-shoulder cape-ish thing? (See here).

First let me say that whatever Melania wears she looks beautiful. Sometimes she hits it out of the park. To me, this was not out of the park. More like a single. I don’t tend to like princess-y dresses in general, although there are exceptions. This dress is a color that I don’t much care for and one that is VERY hard to wear. It doesn’t flatter her. The style is just not quite right, either; I would say it’s too ingenue for her. She’s a lovely woman and like I said, she can wear anything and look good, but this is just too girlish for my tastes. She’s tall, statuesque, elegant, but this dress is not right for her IMHO.

  3. I had a rare chance to watch the Blenheim ceremony on TV. I thought she was stunning. She certainly stood out among the rest. (The British lady had a rather strange dress – parted at the back.) But then, my male perspective surely differs from your own.
PS: The British do know about pomp & ceremony.

She’s probably probing and adapting to the British class dynamic.

In the US it may be hard, but I think it’ll do something else in the UK.

Given that the PM is wearing something even more formal… it seems that is just their thing.

Nobles have this thing where their social dinner attire status is equivalent to their titles and thus secular power. It’s a British ton thing.
