I wouldn’t count my Senate chickens yet
The GOP still might find a way to lose it all.
But it was always the case that the Democratic dreams of taking over the Senate in 2018 faced a possibly harsh reality, considering which seats were up for grabs.
Simply put, the map has never favored the Democrats in 2018. In the Senate, only a third of the seats are in contention in any one even-numbered year, unlike the House were everyone must be re-elected (or not) every two years. Big difference.
If the race is close “misplaced” absentee votes will be found.
The generic vote comparison is down to a 1.4% D advantage in the House.
Don’t get cocky.
HKDave – I hope you just forgot the /sarc tag on your comment. Wait – it’s an bad comment even if you were being sarcastic.
It is an inappropriate comment to wish death on people you may not agree with….there are readers who either have experienced bad things during WWII or had close relatives who did.
Edit – I see you modified your comment to just put people in concentration camps, instead of killing them. It’s still bad.
@hkdave, Please switch to de caff
BTW unbridled hate will only eat YOU up, & you will be the poorer for it !
Scott Adams describes the current situation as the “smell of blood in the water”, Democratic blood, and I think he is correct.
Building the constitutionally conservative wing of the Republican party is the way toward peaceful, effective reform.
Give Trump a Congress that works with him for 6.5 more years and the political landscape will be dramatically changed.
Gelding the democrats and neutering the RINOs is a prerequisite to returning our Institutions to sanity.
Go troll elsewhere, Zinn fan!
HKDave is indeed a troll. It is certainly not a tiny bit conservative or libertarian.
On topic, IMO the ‘blue wave’ is wishful thinking on the part of the dnc/msm cabal. I lack cornhead’s farsightedness, but it looks to me like the gop will pick up 3 to 5 Senate seats and the House will remain in their control.

HK Dave isn’t trolling people. These are his honest fears and worries. Or her, whatever.
I would hope people are more careful in giving false witness testimonies here.
The comments are fanatical perhaps, but not all that offensive to me. The Holy Ghost has already forgiven you HK, what do you need the forgiveness of mortals for…
As for the dangers of the Left or the DS or whatever, don’t worry about them. They will get theirs. Just be sure not to let negative hate control your soul, you got to work on that with positive energies and vibrations. Watch some anime or read some romance novels.
either we die or they die.
Don’t worry, even if you die, you’ll be Resurrected at least once to fight the Final Battle. Just get ready for it.

I don’t know if the Holy Spirit is prompting me to give this to you or not, but I just so happened to have it. Might as well.
The Spirit says she is legit. Don’t ask me why, they don’t tell me these things.
There’s also Jordan Peterson.
Fortunately, the GOP consent decree (from Nineteen Eighty-Freakin’-Two) finally expired this year. I think there a few races that ordinarily would’ve been overwhelmed by fraud will finally end up going our way. All I can say is, it’s about time.
@Ymar Sakar (with regard to the comment a few days ago in the “Re-imagining the classics” article)
Sorry for not answering, I didn’t visit the blog.
I was talking about Korean movies. With regard to K-Dramas, even though I like them (at least until the last third, which is usually filling), they’re not exactly creative or bringing anything new. They’re well crafted, I’d say even damn well crafted, and characters feel interesting and real (which is something I miss more and more in US productions) but they use to follow the same established pattern.
but they use to follow the same established pattern.
That would be consistent if they were going with the soap opera models. But that’s probably not the opera people were looking for.
Last time I went into a theater was probably Dungeons and Dragons 2001 something, and Star Wars Phantom 1 prequel. Those movies were kind of more interesting for how other people parodied the reviews later on.
I think I got more enjoyment watching Redletter review Star Wars 1 and wrecking it.
Some other movies I watched via dvd format like Stardust recommended by blog friends that I trusted.
As a user of warrior and cultivation methods, Sword of the Stranger made amazing sense after 2 watches.
Watching English subtitles on foreign films helped me translate the Bible from Hebrew and Greek later on. So that was a good use of time.

It’s a different kind of soap opera. It doesn’t follow the usual western patterns (dramatic scene A with B, dramatic scene B with C, dramatic scene A with C, and add more characters and add more combinations). They don’t stick to some specific genre but keep cycling from comedy to drama to romantic to thriller to fantasy and so on. That’s a big different with western movies and dramas. But still you can notice the patterns, as the usual two males/two females as main characters, the constant tension between the Christian and the Confucian values, or the long separation at the end of any romantic plot before the final epilogue (since it’s considered that the only true way to prove the value of something is to know how much you miss it when it’s far from you).

His reviews from Star Wars prequels are pure genius. I still watch some Half in the Bag episodes from time to time. Not the same (those reviews were lighting in a bottle), but quite entertaining though.

Damn, I’ve missed that completely. It seems that I have movie for this weekend. Last weeks I’ve been getting in the old Chinese and Hong Kong movies from the 70s-80s, so this will fit perfectly ^^

Allison Lessard has an expired certificate, but the Holy Spirit tells me that is just New Age technical incompetence rather than a honey trap. If she wants to stay in business she will renew. Praise the Lord and pass the CERTS – and the marmalade while you area at it , if you please.
Kidding aside, I like the way you and the other commenters have dealt with the troll – with good humour and class.
Oh, the topic was senate seats. I think the November election is really hard to predict. We know the polls aren’t to be trusted and that the underlying cultural turmoil is..well…huge. Barring deus ex machina type events like Trump being genuinely caught out on something of importance or the unimpeachable collapse of the establishment narrative i think people will make up their minds over whether they want to vote for impeachment or whether they are done with the hysteria. The less obvious question is whether they can stomach casting the necessary votes for GOPe candidates.

The internet certificate that is controlled by the powers that be? ; )

I don’t like to go with labels. I find it takes the humanity away from people, which is what I’ve seen the Leftist alliance do starting from even before 2001, against Bush II, conservatives, etc.
I want to wipe the forces of evil off the face of the earth, but that does not mean I want to become a Student of Alinsky like Hillary the Wicked Witch of the West (actually, some reports said she actually is a witch with seances).
Kill the enemy, don’t become the enemy. Don’t need to fight. Don’t need to learn from the enemy. They’re just exterminated.
Strong emotions are needed to slaughter enemies. Hate is the default one. But one can do with it kindness and love too.
Not the same (those reviews were lighting in a bottle),
I know what you mean. The later reviews were above average, but not the awesome sauce that was his Force Ghost channeling of Phantom Menace.
We know the polls aren’t to be trusted
Polls are good ways to affect PR public reaction, but not so good at reflecting PR.
