Still a Diva
The results of the Grande Conservative Blogress Diva Contest have been announced, and they’re not too shabby after all. Due to complexities too complex to describe here, Robin of Berkeley is Diva and there were two regents named this year, myself and Clarice Feldman. So I retain my title.
Couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks!
And Happy New Year! Have you kept your resolutions?

I resolved to vote for you early and often. So yes, I’ve kept my resolutions! 🙂
I bet 95% of votes for current Diva were by Baklava.
[one more time: who is Robin of Berkeley?!?*]
* a rhetorical question
As a matter of principle, anyone with Berkeley in her name should be disqualified. 😉
I tried to but, in addition to my wallet, I lost them, I can’t find a copy, and I didn’t do a backup.
Luckily this all happened prior to midnight, so that was technically the denouement of 2010 and therefor 2011 stands before me, a virgin year, completely unscrewed-up, like an unsullied snowfall, waiting to see if the first thing to happen to it will be a dog or a snow angel.
Sorry – my brain isn’t multi-tasking anymore. Your closing question wiped the first part out, which is the part I meant to address:
Congratulations, your Regenthood! Happy New Year!
I’ve resolved not to make any resolutions. So far, so good.
So many great conservative women bloggers, regents and divas; so little time to read them all. Congratulations!
Congratulations, Neo. Couldn’t happen to a smarter, more wise, and more interesting person.
Mr. Frank…great comment and I couldn’t agree more.
She can kill with a simile
Or an old metaphor
She can ruin your mind
But she’s not keeping score
And she only researches obscure facts you see
She sort of a neo,
But she’s always a diva to me
She can lead you to water
And leave you to drink it
She can write down the truth
But she’ll not overlink it
And she’ll cite what she finds, as long as it’s free
Yeah, she pastes in long excerpts
But she’s always a diva to me
Congratulations on being one of the divettes.
Of course I had a pithy comment composed but Gerard done took the wind out of my sails again.
Your dethronement is nothing personal. It is, instead, a testament to Mr. Lifson who has built The American Thinker blog to its current popularity. (Disclosure: Mr. Lifson posted a couple of my pieces a few years ago).
Have you ever considered an affiliation with AT or PJM or HA or TH? I would love to see it. Not for me. I check in every day. I just think that the more people should be exposed to the daily sanity check I get here,
Roy Lofquist: I write quite a bit for PJ and have done a little for American Thinker. The first pays a bit, the second is for free; I tend to prefer the first one :-).
Neo your’e right about the pay scale, although Rush did read a short AT piece of mine on the air. Family creds to to the max – priceless!
