One thing we can “expect” about Obamacare… — 3 Comments

  1. The unions, who are in cahoots with Obama and the Reds, wanted out, and were let out.

Tells me all I need to know.

  2. Yep, anyone with political ties to the democrats were exempt – you do not opt out of the Best Thing to Happen EVAR!!!!!

Oh just wait until Mr Happy in that article gets a nice big fine that he can’t afford because he doesn’t have insurance. A fine that because it is from the govt can make him loose his house or be garnered directly from his pay check. Bet that smile slips even further. After all he has no more excuses to not be insured – Obama made it easy and affordable (and you might as well spend it on insurance because that money isn’t yours anymore one way or another).

Tenncare in Tennessee happened along similar lines. A great deal of uninsured rejoiced at its passing and then reality hit – you could pay 10-20% less than your old coverage costs but get 20-30% the coverage. You still couldn’t afford it but now “you had no excuse”. Further now that the state controls it your old plans went away (even though they were not required to by law – the market it set up forced this). Then the costs of a govt run program got in the way and unless you are on govt assistance you can’t get it – so now most of those that pushed for it and rejoiced are simply without anything at all.

They didn’t learn either – same group happy and rushing for Obama care and are finding that a bill modeled after the same thing is having the same issues. Well, DUH!

The plan is set up to benefit the govt and it’s lobbyist – that they exempt themselves from it *should* tell you everything you need to know about it.

The people fighting to force everyone in public schools exempt themselves, the people fighting for govt health care exempt themselves, much of the anti-gun control laws passed exempt themselves, pay cuts and freezes exempt themselves, and so much of what they do exempt themselves. Frankly this is what our founding fathers fought a revolution over and we are heading down that path again.

Too bad they didn’t put someplace in the constitution explicitly that they can’t exempt themselves from anything they pass – I suspect that our rules would be quite different if it were this way. It’s implied quite strongly (especially compared to, say, abortion being legal) yet there is *no* way more than a handful in govt positions would find it that way.

  3. Obama, like Nurse Ratched, likes a rigged game and will brook no challenge.

“The slightest thing messy or out of kilter or in the way ties her into a little white knot of tight-smiled fury. She walks around with that same doll smile crimpled between her chin and her nose and that same calm whir coming from her eyes, but down inside of her she’s tense as steel.”
