  1. @neo Off Topic

This is an interesting piece of news, and I think you’re not gonna see it in US, even though it happened there.

The original piece is in Spanish. If you don’t speak, google translate is always there.

    http://kiaenzona.com/mas-basket/racismo-contra-un-jugador-espanol-en-usa-me-hicieron-la-vida-imposible-por-ser-blanco-43649/

In a nutshell: a young spanish basketball player talks about his experience in the Eastern Florida State College. And he’s not going back, since he was badly harassed for being white. He had money stolen, food stoles, clothes stolen. He was living afraid, and many days he found his clothes completely wet in the middle of the floor. He says how he could heard black players saying how white people didn’t belong there. And he denounces how he was not the only white person discriminated.

  2. Neo:

My Mac would not open the article. Some kind of security issue.

    Yann:

That’s a grim article. I was wondering if any of it could have been newcomer hazing, like in a fraternity. Lots of sports teams do the same thing. It’s still grim.

  3. Last night in an interview with Hannity when asked whether he’d support Jeb if he were the eventual Republican nominee, Trump said this:

“Absolutely yes. I would absolutely support him. He’s a good person, he’s a good man. I would support him.”

    The turn-on-a-dime inconsistency is breathtaking.

  4. It’s good to see someone documenting Trump’s persoanl animosity for the Bush family. I think it’s clear that — to a very large extent — this isn’t about policies and principles for Trump.

    Two further thoughts:
    1. I believe it was Charles Krauthammer who first came up with the BDS argument.

    2. Given the timing of Trump’s turning against the Bush family, I think it is very likely that he assumed he could bribe them, tried to, and got mad when they didn’t do what all the Democratic politicians he had been bribing did. Jeb killing Trump’s casinos in Florida was probably a key.

(A month or so ago, the NYT had a great piece describing, among other things, some tax breaks he had gotten in NY. (If you are interested, email me, and I’ll dig up the link for you.)

  5. neo – Here you are.

My mistake, it was the WSJ, not the NYT.

This search will take you right there: Andy Kessler + Trump site:wsj.com

(I linked to it, with a little discussion, and another link to a piece by Liz Mair, on 16 September.)

  6. Neo,

It might help to include explanation of why Trump is wrong on the law and facts regarding his characterization of the decision for OIF.

  7. I read these articles and it makes me wonder how in the hell is trump leading?
He was a registered dem for years giving money to campaigns etc.
    Nancy Pelosi a wonderful person?
Giving money to Hills and telling her to show up at his wwedding?
(Last time I checked that was buying influence a, FELONY!!)
Is the conservative movement ready to sell out to a load mouth slinging mud just because they are mad at John B and mitch M?

Just imagine this guy running the country by exe order?
From day to day who knows what he’s for.

I truly believe that if he is the nomine it will be a “Ughe” victory for Hills.

  8. JJ,

Trump has opened an opportunity for Republicans to set the record straight on OIF and OEF for the purpose of reforming the narrative. To take advantage, they would have to do a hard reverse on their usual SOP of running away from the controversies and stipulating false narratives.

  9. Trump noticed that Boston lefty Bloomberg (gaaaack) ran under a false flag as a Republican and won the mayoralty of New York City, also spending his own dough, largely because the Repub Party in NYC is so beaten down and vestigial that they welcomed ANYONE who would even get the LABEL of GOP into the office.

Bloomerpants then proceeded to govern as a huge-arse nanny stater.

  10. The BIG new thing back during the daze of Bush 41 was INDIAN CASINOS.

    Makes you wonder, no ?

The New England tribes just crushed Atlantic City.

Trump had to enter Chapter 11 in … wait for it …

1991, Trump’s Taj Mahal in Atlantic City

1992, Trump Plaza Hotel in Atlantic City

2004, Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts

    2009, Trump Entertainment Resorts

I’d bet your last chip that Trump puts blame upon Bush 41.
