Here’s a photo I took yesterday with my cellphone, as the day was fading.

By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful… — 6 Comments
Amazing that, with a cell-phone camera, you can take a picture that, under its largest extent has enough detail that one can almost, but not quite, make out the flag on the stern of the sailboat.
we rented a quaint place in early September 2010 on Cranberry Island to celebrate our 35th. Wonderful, memorable views.
Beautiful, looks like a Japanese wood block print.
If it were me, I would experiment by cropping the right side to eliminate the entanglement, and the upper horizon above the branches to set the boat back and give it an even more ethereal look.
That’s the nice thing with digital, no harm in playing around with the composition.
My friends BBQ turned out ok… it was boring till the Timber Rattler showed up… then it got a bit exciting. of course, ny state says there arent any any more when they print articles in the paper…
but its not the first, nor last time, we will see “Timmy” show up uninvited…
i did offer to catch it for them and we could have taken it to another location as i did with the six foot black snake… would not be the first time i provided that service
and i thought the Thunderbirds were exciting the day before… 🙂
