I’m with Issa (he’s my congressperson, by the way), so I think it’s justifiable contempt coming from Issa [and from me].

I’m not sure it’s worth it for Issa to play this game. As you (neo) pointed out a few days ago, it’s nothing but an arrogant taunting by the regime; they know they won’t be held accountable. I’m not sure Issa should be playing along, as he’s merely playing the taunted.

“The vile weasel” has committed perjury and displayed a rude, smarmy attitude that insults the prerogatives of the legislative branch. He should be in a cell in the Capitol basement.
Muscle needed, not words. What if the House directed its Sgt-at-Arms to deputize and arm men to effect arrests, e.g. Holder and Koskinen? It would make a great face-off, bullets might fly and the no longer verbal battle would be joined.

The only real power of congress is the “purse” and that should be pursued to the fullest.
Also for the media the “purse” is the only thing that can turn them … if they go belly up they will change … well maybe.

We on the right side of the bell curve must not fire the first (real) shot. That does not put us at a disavantage. Again, read Unitended Consequences. That is how the rebellion should begin.
The way things look now, it’s a given that these guys are never going to jail and they know it. It’s also clear that Koskinen et. al. have no sense of shame. Normally, a non-corrupt media would expose them to ridicule, but that’s another unavailable option.
So how to deter/defeat them? The only chink in their armor is their intellectual vanity. Make them look as stupid as possible on the stand, as Trey Gowdy does. And hope that somehow, someway they glimpse their fate as future Erlichmans*, Deans, and Haldemans.
Make them look stupid, and shake their faith that they’re on the “right side of history.”
*Did you know that Hank Paulson was Erlichman’s assistant in 1972 and 1973? I didn’t.
