Obamacare: protecting the insurance companies
You might want to take a look at this summary of the varied ways in which Obamacare pays off the health insurance companies who play ball with the exchanges: risk adjustment, reinsurance, and risk corridors.
I’ve just assumed that the fix was in from the beginning with the insurance companies re Obamacare. Wasn’t the lack of their support, or rather opposition, the main reason Hillarycare failed in the 1990s?
I wasn’t clear above. I meant to say the insurance companies opposed Hillarycare, not that there was a lack of opposition on their part.

Thanks for the link to the doctor’s letter, Beverly. This is the nub of the problem. The system was a mess before Obamacare. It’s now even worse. Instead of reform, they just hastened the collapse. Whether they did it intentionally or out of stupidity doesn’t matter. It has to be repealed.
It’ll be repealed about the same time social security is repealed, JJ. As in, never.
