Obama: we don’t need no steenking fact-checkers… — 7 Comments

  1. I’m not surprised Pres Asterisk got his facts wrong. I was taught by Liberal teachers and professors that the vast majority of Americans wanted no part of the war in Europe and FDR was only complying with the public demands. Until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor Dec 1941, and suddenly American opinion did an abrupt about-face to favor the massive bloodletting. The Gallop poll from early 1940 clearly shows that was not the case, and our educators have lied for 70+ years about American opinion.

  2. Reminds me of yesterday’s post about Kerry, which linked to this 2004 post that explained his lying as a symptom of narcissistic personality disorder. Clearly, King Barack is also a narcissist and/or has one of the various character disorders (eg Antisocial personality disorder) in which deception is routinely used as a way of getting what you want.

I don’t know whether Obama knew his facts were wrong or simply didn’t care. The linked blog claims he said “I’m not drawing an analogy to World War II” and then immediately drew an analogy to World War II. This is not the behavior of someone concerned about consistency or truth. Rather, it is the mark of someone who thinks the purpose of speech is to manipulate others so as to get what you want.

IMHO the long-term question is what to do about a political system that has turned into a magnet for people with character disorders, a playing-field in which they thrive and profit.

  3. Obama would have been against WWII before he was for it–against it from the time of the Stalin-Hitler non-aggression pact; for it after the fatherland invaded the motherland.

By the way, the eloquent, plain endorsement of objective reality by John Adams is testament to the quality of thought that gave us the first country in the history of the world founded on a moral principle that comports with “the state of facts and evidence” regarding human epistemology and ethics. It was nice while it lasted.

  4. “Facts are not stubborn things, they’re slippery things.”

Very slippery in the messiahs’s case as he is never held to account for his lies and deceptions.

  5. As I have opined before, he’s a phony. He’s gotten by all his life sounding intelligent and educated, without ever having to be graded on what he actually knew or learned. Affirmative action got him into college, through law school, and it’s what carried him through the elections- it’s why the media lets him make crap up as he goes, and never criticizes or questions any of the ludicrous things he say.
It’s no wonder he falls back on race every time he gets into trouble — it’s got him to places that a non-minority could not go- they’d be ridiculed as shockingly ignorant and unprepared. Which he is on almost every subject that involves the responsibilities of the presidency.

  6. Propaganda is logistically easier to manage if operations are constructed to force the events to go a certain way. Way easier than trying to repaint the narrative over discontinuous facts.

  7. Hey! Barack Hubris Obama is smarter than any one of us, and maybe smarter than all of us. Just ask him; he’ll tell you.
