Bearing down, radically
David Thompson describes a performance that can rightly be called dreck*.

Before everyone starts dumping on Ms Dwyer and her muse and her muesli recall Albert Einstein’s infamous words:
“True art is characterized by an irresistible urge in the creative artist.” So there! Bourgeoisie.
Modern Art, Performance Art, both properly embowled whereat it belongeth.
Saith the article re the ‘performance’, “…one that links to a long artistic legacy looking at alchemical transformation and magical performance. The work, while challenging taboos, never becomes sensational or gratuitous. It’s wonderful, powerful work.”
Yeah, sure.
I wonder how it (the ‘work’-does that mean the straining at stool ? – to use a medical expression) might become sensational or gratuitous. What would it take?
I am reminded of “The Painted Word” by Thomas Wolfe.
Artists should never be rich enough to afford transparent toiletry.
Why is it, and can there be an exception, that after the “great art” era, everything “declines.”
Everyone be on the alert. A very prolific and well known author has expressed a dangerous opinion. We won’t say what that opinion is due to our “hands over ears, close your eyes” policy, but from now on, all Stephen King’s books are “hands over ears, close your eyes” status.

Answer: I can do that.
Question: What the two year old said.
The fulfillment of a Communist goal.
I knew this dreck was coming when I read, years ago, about John Cage’s non-composition for the piano: having a pianist sit at the instrument for several minutes without playing a note. Then he wrapped it all in yards of nonsense, and most of the audience sat still for it (though some, to give them credit, did storm out and demand their money back from the box office in Carnegie Hall).
The other fools in the audience deserved what they got — the “composer” dropped a big deuce on their heads, and they paid him for the privilege. Of course they left the hall chattering about how avant garde and transgressive it all was.
Corruption of the soul leads to the corruption of the heart. The mind soon follows.
Early on, not sure when, I watched 2 girls 1 cup as a way to test my resistance to visual propaganda.
Most things that are seen affect the human mind viscerally, emotionally, or intellectually. Building up resistance and cutting off automatic reactions, becoming aware of them, while not cutting off the visual reception, is useful for defense against all kinds of undue influences.
Thus in war, images designed to shock, such as Islamic beheadings or videos designed to make me feel emotions that make me easier to manipulate, can be watched without those undue influences taking control.
The Left uses emotion as a weapon. Thus there’s no point how high your IQ is… when that was never their goal of destruction to begin with. It was your heart that they wanted to destroy, your ability to appreciate beauty, to feel love and compassion for your fellow humans, that was what they sought to destroy. Armoring your mind with intellectual rationalizations will do nothing to protect your heart from the enemy.
One of the ways child killer soldiers are trained is by forcing the child to destroy their emotional bonds and social restrictions. Having the child fight their best friend, in a deathmatch, will erase those who couldn’t break out of their heart strings: producing cold hearted survivors.
Getting teenagers to indulge in mass orgies and group rapes, is a way to destroy the soul and the instinct of a man, producing an animal instead that is easily controlled.
All of that requires that you shatter the social habits ingrained in the kids, whether by instinct or by society.
Those that are ignorant of such techniques and moments in history… probably lack the imagination to comprehend what the Left is planning for the future with these antics.
Pardon me, I’m late to a performance.
