[NOTE: It causes me to recall that the notorious “plumbers” of the Nixon administration and Watergate fame were originally formed (and got their name from) their mission to plug leaks that were considered vital to national security. The Obama gang are all about “transforming america”. So attacking opponents in the old Soviet style is predictable. Government is a leaky vessel as we’ve known for ever, to go after outsiders is the unusual thing. One item that is not commented on is the real absence of any form of the mundane work of government. The Obama crew could care less about this, but the honest work of diplomats and administrators has been neglected. The IRS is tasked to harrass the opposition, so regular taxpayer services and careful development of regulation is forgotten. Hillary is sent on a global air cruise to keep her out of town, but without a functioning SecState trade agreements and other necessary activities are neglected.
In these ways and other the lack of serious management from the WH and Cabinet is helping keep the economy down.

The Wan not only disrespects the Constitution — he loathes the legislature — to include his ‘fellow’ Democrats.

These past few weeks have been the sum of all fears here. I never thought he was actually Hugo Chavez. I was wrong.
holmes: I have long thought he was. It was just a question of how far he would be able to go. It still is.
But that’s why I spent the week prior to the 2012 election sick to my stomach. It was a feeling that wouldn’t go away, because I thought Obama was going to win. I kept listening to so many pundits saying Romney would be the victor, and I would comfort myself with the thought that I was a pessimist and that maybe they were right. But I never believed it—and my stomach most definitely did not believe it.
I am actually somewhat encouraged by all these scandals coming out. I didn’t think that would happen, and certainly not so soon (although of course it’s way late). I thought it would continue to be under cover.

the point is the process and its end, and not how its implemented. if the power was there before, then it could be in decrees and laws. but there is no reason for it to be so overt, or even to parallel the past, other than the point of aligning things

I have no doubt that President Obama ordered the IRS to carry out its campaign against conservative groups.
I suspect that, as this unravels, we’ll find the smoking gun.
