Making McCain exciting: the video challenge
Think Obama’s the only cool one in this election? Well, think again:
I found the above video when the Anchoress spotlighted it. It was an entry in a competition suggested by Stephen Colbert to make McCain exciting by using a segment of his less-than-scintillating speech in front of the green background.
Here’s one that turns McCain’s age into an asset:
And they say Bill Clinton was Elvis?
My guess is, Obama supporters. But they’re gonna think about it:

Those are fabulous! They say McCain has a very quirky but very good sense of humor — I wish he had the nerve to use some of those…. and vary the dubbing for different messages..
I actually think in some areas, some of these — or a variant, would make people do a double take AND look again at the man.
I know I appreciate them because I am going nuts with McCain acting so “dainty and nice” about running the perfect, most ethically correct campaign, hesitating to talk about his heroism — not necessarily in that term, but how the experience built character, gave him MUCH opportunity to think, and how he’s devoted his entire life to public service — and has LEARNED so much along the way — unlike his opponent who’s “ascension has been little more than a game of “Hop, Skip & Jump.
Sometimes I want to SCREAM at McCain to dial it up. Especially when I see Obama’s camp slyly setting up surrogates like moron Wesley Clarke to absurdly attack McCain’s prisoner of war time only to then allow Obama to swoop in with his holier-than-thou chastisement and look like the big man paying tribute to McCain’s service.
I think the whole deal was a very clever setup.
Bravo, Neo. A touch of humor is always welcome in any dreary campaign.
Still chuckling! Thanks …
