  1. Democrat/ Marxist states are filing one after another practically declaring separation from the Federal government just to protect Illegals.
If their going to throw out Federal officers what’s next? Throwing out the Federal Constitution?
Hope Anila has no troubles, brave woman

  2. I have never understood what people mean when they say Israel (or any other state) has or has not a “right to exist”. I don’t think it’s a concept that really applies. I get that it might work as a cumbersome way of saying a person has a right to life, but beyond that, I’m baffled.

  3. 3) Taqiyya
    4) By definition, there is no place for the barbaric in a civil-ized society. Revocation of citizenship and mandatory deportation is the appropriate consequence. Permanent removal from the ‘gene pool’ for any subsequent attempt to illegally reenter.
    5) ‘NJ Gov. Mikie Sherrill is now actively blocking the expansion of ICE operations and setting up a “safe zone” for protesters.’
    Charge her with INSURRECTION!
    6) Very courageous but exhibiting a bit of cognitive dysfunction. Islam’s ‘theology’ is quite clear that Israel does NOT have a right to exist. Nothing within Islam permits or supports her position. Equivalent to declaring you’re a Nazi, while stating that the Jews are fine people deserving of support.

    Skip,

Napoleon rightly advised his generals to, “never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake!” So too with States approaching insurrection. In fact, Trump should do all he can to covertly egg them on. Let them embrace the ‘suck’ when they FAFO…

  4. Re: Abdul El Sayed

Yes, he is a dangerous, self-satisfied bigot.

Bad news. He is a handsome fellow, was a Rhodes scholar, captain of his Oxford lacrosse team, got his MD from Columbia and has had an impressive career in medicine.

He may be hard to beat.

  5. A few posts about candidates of interest.

    https://freebeacon.com/democrats/its-important-to-get-the-facts-straight-graham-platner-questioned-the-armenian-genocide-in-now-deleted-post-called-mass-slaughter-an-incident/
“‘I don’t think he’s going to do very well with Armenian voters in Maine,’ an Armenian human rights activist in the state said”

Platner condemns the “Israeli genocide in Gaza” but temporizes about the Turks.
“The problem with your statement is that Turkey fully admits the Incident happened, the issue is whether it was in fact genocide or if it was mass killing/displacement,” Platner opined.

He has mastered the Democrat parlor trick of condemning violence and espousing love for everyone while supporting attacks on Israel and hating Jews.

Neo didn’t mention the Texas election in this post, but I’m sure everyone has been just dying to know for sure!

  6. Eeyore, I’m pretty sure that given all the “rights” rackets making the rounds these days—hyuge moral issue, ya’ understand—declaring with all the earnestness one can muster (or fake) that “Israel has no RIGHT to exist” is a lot easier on the ears (and moral sensibilities) than “We gotta’ destroy the MF Zio Entity” or “Israel’s existence is dripping in blood and Original Sin” or “There are simply too, too many Jewish states on this planet…”
    (It’s an optics thang…Jus’ sayin’.)

    #2.
I believe she recently changed her mind on that. (Quoting James Bond, even!)

    #3.
    Another “My Struggle” dude, eh?
Heh, brings to mind the pained response of the ever-uber-cultured, high-brow, classical music loving/playing Professor Edward Said when he was asked the pointed question regarding the massive massacre of Jews that WOULD inevitably take place if/when a Palestinian state REPLACES the Jewish one…
(Ah yes, grappling with all these oh-so-troubling “moral” issues…with such chin-stroking gravitas…)

    #1.
    So Platner’s an America-hating, Anti-Semitic, totally irresponsible, lying—AND MYSOGINISTIC—low-life?

Seems like the absolutely PERFECT Democratic Party candidate!

  7. Islam’s ‘theology’ is quite clear that Israel does NOT have a right to exist.

Not sure that’s in fact the case.
Apparently, the Qur’an includes something along the lines that while Arabia was allocated to da’ Moslems, the land “from the river to the sea” was allocated to da’ Jews. Moreover, there are even scholars of Islam who today—more than somewhat courageously—echo this declaration (or should one say, “inconvenient truth”?).

    Go figure.

  8. Check out the post from Instapundit, and especially follow its link to Shipwreckedcrew’s tweet (which comes from a Twitchy post about an article in The Atlantic):

This is getting very curious. These influential voices are coming out on this point VERY LATE. The primary is June 9.

I do not think anything will happen in advance of the primary, and Platner is going to win with no real opponent still in the race.

BUT, under Maine law, if Platner were to drop out after winning the primary, he could be replaced by the Dems on the General Election ballot ONLY IF:

    1. He drops out prior to the 2nd Monday in July, and
    2. His replacement is named by the 4th Monday in July.

I think we are seeing the unfolding of a plan by the Dem. establishment OUTSIDE of Maine to begin a drumbeat for Platner to exit the race after the primary, and let the Party hand-pick a replacement for the General.

Pro-Tip — always read state law to figure out that plan that might be in the process of being hatched behind closed doors.

See also this RedState post about another Platner oopsie.
    https://redstate.com/bradslager/2026/05/30/the-oyster-man-continues-to-deliver-the-latest-hit-on-the-dems-golden-boy-develops-with-graham-platner-n2202878

The Wall Street Journal has the story, where his campaign was gearing up oppo-research on Platner to begin setting up defenses. Then Amy Gertner, Platner’s wife, came forward with a series of sexual texts she discovered on his phone. Now, these messages were said to have been made before their nuptials, which could be considered a mitigating factor, but this does not explain everything.

But this raises quite a few questions, not just about the man personally, but the machinations behind this campaign, and what may transpire in the months ahead. Platner has been a sheer mystery about how he rose to national prominence in such a short period. The man has no political background. The only office he can claim have held is that of Harbor Master, in a tiny fishing village. Yet he has rocketed to becoming a nationally-known political figure.

And now we learn that he [ALSO] has a sexual skidmark on his resume, one that his campaign – and ostensibly the Democratic leadership – knew about from the beginning. So how did this leak emanate from them? The other question is: why is there mounting evidence about this guy seeping out now? It is fair to ask if maybe the party that put Platner up to the podium is working to possibly see him replaced, as media criticism is welling up.

The Democrat Party certainly worked to get Platner on the ballot. How else to explain a complete zero being given this boost over an incumbent governor, in Janet Mills, who had name recognition and a track record? Platner saw her stepping down due to swamping her in campaign donations, something only the national party would orchestrate. But today, he runs unopposed and has only demonstrated what a flawed character and flawed candidate his is. So, is something in the works?

The Democratic primary is June 6, and should Platner “step down” afterwards, the state Democrats have one month from that date to find a replacement for the general election. It smacks of deep conspirational plotting, but this is the party that, after all, had a sitting president removed entirely from an election ticket. Having a growling neophyte with distemper and the charisma of a mudslide expunged from a ballot is not that big of a stretch.

To me, it looks like the “gearing up oppo-research on Platner to begin setting up defenses” either didn’t go far enough, or discounted what was found, and the DNC has panicked over what is now being revealed by the pouncing Republicans.

Explaining away the Nazi tattoo was supposed to clear up all his problems (did the Democrats really think it was NOT a problem — or was it a surprise to the Machine?), but having to do the same thing with ever-worsening disclosures has finally reached a tipping point.

I do have a question: why didn’t the Party want Mills to be the candidate? If there was ever a reason given, I missed it somehow.
And how in the world did they settle on Platner to replace her? If they really did think that another manufactured he-man would swing Independent or TDS-Republican voters, why him?

  9. Commenters at Instapundit have some additional insights, but this one intrigues me the most, since the Democrats are now trying to pull Platner out without enraging their base (“the Republicans made us do it”).
Are they looking at what Collins’ campaign might know that would have tanked Platner in the General Election?

I’m not at liberty to talk about it, but the real bombshell is why he wasn’t allowed to reenlist in the Marines. I’m surprised it hasn’t been made public, I could only assume Collins wants to hold that card tight until it’s too late for the Dems to switch him out.

I figured he had probably gotten a thumbs-down for reenlistment, but I would have thought the military contractors would look at that unfavorably when he applied to work there if he had, also. So I figured maybe there was nothing to it. I don’t think that anymore now.

  10. New from the Platner campaign, but (in light of the above speculations) I think Twitchy has the mic-drop take.
    (embedded Tweets not indented)

    https://twitchy.com/dougp/2026/05/30/platner-campaign-posts-video-of-dem-candidates-wife-making-a-clean-up-in-aisle-uh-oh-statement-n2428755

Platner’s wife either decided to make a video — or was asked to — spinning the Dem candidate’s latest huge problem. This guy carries more baggage than a luggage carousel at the Atlanta International Airport in any given year:

A message from my wife Amy: pic.twitter.com/dbDqjssevp
    — Graham Platner for Senate (@grahamformaine) May 30, 2026

“Gossip”? That doesn’t appear to be true considering reports that Platner’s wife was the one who flagged explicit texts with other women to his campaign.

Judging from some of the lefty reaction to that video, Platner will still have his defenders as long as he continues to not be Trump.

It’s striking there’s no substance here at all. No addressing anything. Just “I love him, look at us, we’re normal folks.”
    Will this work? https://t.co/lVbzEVQUix
    — Richard Hanania (@RichardHanania) May 31, 2026

Will it work? What do YOU think?

What’s going to drop next on Platner? Odds are this isn’t the last time his campaign will have to do damage control.

  11. A Red State commenter answered one of my questions – is this what really happened?

The 2026 primary election in Maine is on June 9, not June 6.

The Democrat party did not recruit Platner. The DSCC, in the person of Chuck Shumer, recruited Janet Mills, the sitting Governor, to run against Susan Collins. Chuck famously described the 78 year old Mills, a mediocre hack in the Biden mold with an approval rating on life support, as his “dream candidate”.

Platner was recruited by left wing labor union activists to run for the Senate in the primary. The Democrat Party opposed him and tried to force him out of the race.

Platner is fortunate to have so much moronic, low IQ garbage written about him. This issue, which could actually be a problem, is going to pass as minor in the scheme of things. He sexted various women before he got married. Yawn.

The former campaign manager, McDonald, (who is the source of the “fact” that Platner knew the tattoo was a nazi insignia) peddled this info which was given to her in confidence by Platner’s wife to the WSJ. Again, yawn.
