Though the “mines” are a “real” possibility, nevertheless I rather view this citation of “mines” as anciillary or a distraction from the clear lack of action yesterday on the part of CentCom and the Navy. Still don’t grasp the underlying policy behind that lack.
Your roundup includes: a Virginia judge torching the Democrats’ 10-1 gerrymander less than 24 hours after Election Night, the President reading 2 Chronicles in the Oval Office while AP chokes on a pretzel, the Fifth Circuit handing Texas a Ten-Commandments win and the ACLU a map to oblivion, Judge Murphy accidentally breaking Big Pharma’s vaccine pipeline right before flu-and-covid season, and Secretary Hegseth sets the vaccine mandate machine back several notches.
My bet is that the judge had his decision already sitting on his desk waiting for the final touches on election night.
The errors were THAT blatant.

In my opinion, this use of prisons should be stopped.
This article says that born-as-biological-males…trans-females/transwomen, are being housed in women-majority prisons, in: Massachusetts, Maine, + California.
This report says: the “born-as-biological-females”-type women, while being forced to be in [prisons] with these born-as-biological-males prisoners, are experiencing [voyeurism, + other bad behavior], and I believe- these born-as-females prisoners, are feeling physically threatened by these people, and are feeling sexually threatened by these people.
Please contact your states’ government representatives, and your congress members in the federal government, and 1) ask them to only allow prisons to [house people/prisoners only by their biological gender], and to, 2) remove these born-as-biological-males prisoners, from prisons that [have majorities of women prisoners and/or female prisoners.
Basically, the Barfare variant of Lawfare compromises the entire justice system if the disbarment is not struck down.
And IMO if the California Bar and all the judges who supported this egregious case of harassment and blatant political bias do not get a whopping censure from the Supreme Court, then conservative lawyers had better get on the next U-Haul out of the state.
And Democrat lawyers may want to consider what happens if the Bar takes a misliking to one of them for not having been sufficiently in tune with the Party Line when next it changes.
They can confer with Mr. Swalwell on that.
I was thinking of air power, reconnaissance, intelligence. We have to know where these little ships are to hit them, and I’d think Israel could help with the hitting too.
I’m not aware of public info on Israeli naval activity in the Strait, Mike and Kate, though we know Israel fields a few capable submarines in addition to their home surface fleet. Israeli aircraft could, theoretically I suppose, aid the blockade effort here and there if timing and a target of opportunity arose, but that’s not gonna be a likelihood under ordinary situations — heh, at least until such time as UAE, Bahrain or some other Gulf State permits IAF joint basing in proximity thereto. Not holding my breath on that one, albeit it’s not totally dismissable given today’s common anxieties. Still, good for a laugh.
After thought: We might could widen out to space based intel gathering capabilities, and maybe Israel has something going there, but I’ve no specific knowledge of such.
My grandaughters had Little Mermaid swimming suits. They seemed a little dangerous to me, since both legs were inside the suit. They were the “thing” one summer though.
