A lot of folks (maybe even some here, it’s hard to keep up) have been discussing a recent poll showing the divergence of western men and women politically; and the theory that men haven’t really changed*, but women have really changed.
He raises some good points and makes some good arguments, but I think he’s wrong. More than smartphones and algorithms I think it’s the weaponization of maternalism. The trend of Western women not having children began long before 2015.
I don’t mean this derogatorily, but childless women have to do something with their caretaking drive and a lot of them have decided we are their charges and need their help. They will save us from the evils of climate change, Trump, the patriarchy, law enforcement, meat, the non-vaccinated…
The Gods of the copybook headings, etc., etc…
*It’s interesting that many young men seem to be open to the notion that “toxic masculinity” may be essential to their well being while young women still seem very resistant to the notion that embracing some femininity may be beneficial.
As Art Deco said, she is very engaging. I’ve already watched a couple of her videos now – thanks for the link Neo!
Does anyone wonder how a party that embraces socialism, anti-semitism, anti-whiteness, that can’t define what a woman is, that supports what is going on in Minnesota etc, could very possibly take control of the House later this year?

My sister had an Australian cattle dog named Rosie. If Rosie couldn’t herd cattle, she could herd people, and she did.
Don’t let a meaningless word make you forget what caused prices to spike.
@Mike Plaiss:The ‘Affordability’ Setup
I don’t have much to take issue with in the linked article, but “affordability” is very much a real issue, especially for younger people, in the following four areas, none of which are minor:
1) Housing
2) Health care and health insurance
3) Higher education
4) Owning an automobile
Root causes are all the same, just the mix is different:
1) Government overregulation
2) Other people’s money spent on other people
3) The cheaper end of the market, that used to allow an on-ramp for young people, has been largely eliminated; what remains is less affordable even if it is higher quality
Inflation is not helping any of these three, but they were driving these unfavorable trends before inflation spiked.
Some good news from Colorado. People are choosing to homeschool, instead of having their children indoctrinated by the leftist teachers.
Colorado public school enrollment drops by 10,000 while homeschooling increases statewide
More Colorado parents are opting for homeschooling, pulling their children from public schools, state data shows.
While enrollment decreased in public schools, students being homeschooled and enrolling in online educational programs rose.
The state reported that full-time home-school students increased by 5.5% from last year. Children registered in online educational programs and online schools increased by 2.9% since last year.
yes its a confluence of elements, that is prevalent in the West, from Western Europe, to Canada to Australia, certainly countered by the Middle East, and parts of East Asia, and Central Asia, under the broad banner of feminism, perhaps the 3rd wave, certainly the first generation did not explicitly rule out childrearing,
but we saw this in 2008, with the deep well of disgust directed to one candidate, because she would carry a child to term, even if they had some learning disability,
one of the contributors to the inflation, is this quantitative easing,
legerdemain, along with other fiscal imputs, that arose from the 2008 financial crisis,
a pattern we seem headed to repeat according to the Federal Reserve,
While I found her very interesting, and I learned a lot, I do wish someone would tell her a bit more about farming, farm economics. and animals.(Some things are still the same after all these centuries.)
Go Bears!!
The Democrats are trying to redistrict Virginia to gain four House seats. JD Vance went after the rinos in the Indiana State senate who refused to redistrict. Scott Presler is campaigning to primary them.
She’s very engaging.
