Matt Walsh has a rather sobering analysis of the current state of affairs. He hints, as we all know, that the left is now pushing hard towards all out violence and confrontation. I guess I like what he says as it aligns with my usual pessimistic view:

Riots and insurrection for AWFLs?
Maybe it’s just me, but if I’m ever in a situation in a car where I want to go forward and other human beings are around my vehicle, I automatically look forward to make sure I’m not going to run someone over before hitting the gas. Beyond it being just common sense, it’s just something that’s essentially muscle memory that’s been baked in from decades of driving experience to the point where it’s subconscious. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’d have to consciously deliberately override that tendency if I wanted to hit the gas while there’s an obstacle visible through my windshield directly in front of me.
My mind isn’t quite as nimble as it used to be, but it just dawned on me that this ICE agent shooting fatality occurred very nearby the location of the George Floyd death.
It’s so sad what’s happened to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. That used to be our rather close by (135 mi.) family getaway spot. If we wanted to travel farther, it was often NYC.

I blame Garrison Keillor!

To be sure. Also when I’m confronted by even a single LEO, I freeze, listen and obey. I know not to mess around.
From what I read, Good was a trained activist. I can’t believe that was her training. I suspect she was overwhelmed by adrenaline.
I couldn’t say whether she was trying to hit the ICE officer or just trying to escape. Both were very bad moves.
What happened to the good old days of civil disobedience and going limp? Today’s tactics are intended to provoke results like this.
Of Special Interest to those on or near the East Coast, a two-day Climate Conference in April is scheduled for Washington, DC, sponsored by the Chicago based Heartland Institute.
Notably, the “Climate Realism Rising” theme is buttressed by the fact that the hosting hotel is virtually due East of the White House — so, expect many Trump Administration officials to stop in for the education. And undoubtedly some will speak at this event.

Minneapolis has an autonomous zone:

Just saw video from ICE officer. The “Wife” was egging on ICE. The dead Woman wasn’t obeying ICE orders, just ignoring them and not looking where she was going.
OK, what’s the secret of the dancer on the video? I’ve seen a similar dance with a line of female dancers.
Re Ms. Good, the ironically-named insurrectionist: play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Paul in Boston:
The secret? Practice, practice, practice, and short quick steps without any bouncing up and down, so the head keeps completely level. And of course, a long garment to hide the feet.
The Daily Wire link provided by physicsguy is a sobering read, and, I think, correct. We are seeing a rolling nationwide insurrection movement aimed at preventing enforcement of properly passed, longstanding federal law.
I was especially infuriated by Walz’s claim that the insurrectionists in Minnesota are just like the Minnesota troops at Gettysburg. Many, many men from Minnesota volunteered to fight to preserve the Union. Walz is encouraging street fighters trying to dissolve the Union.
FWIW…

Waltz – the epitome of knuckelhead.
Don’t be a Waltz.
Waltz me do this. (We’ve all seen how that ends.)
Don’t be that Waltz.

The only thing left for Walz to do is for Minnesota to secede. Then it will be obvious to everyone what is going on.
President Trump said during an interview last night: “I have put Iran on notice that if they start shooting at them — these people are totally unarmed people, and they love their country… But I’ve warned them that if they do anything bad to these people, we’re going to hit them very hard.”
The number killed in the current uprising is still less than the 2009 uprising, but the numbers are approaching then.
It looks like while there are reports of the regular IRGC patrolling the streets and firing, the IRGC is not stifling the revolt.
