ICE agent shoots and kills woman in Minneapolis
Left and right describe the incident very very differently.
For example, from the right:
Dramatic video purportedly shows the moment an ICE agent opened fire and killed a 37-year-old woman who attempted to barrel her SUV into the officer’s path in Minneapolis Wednesday morning — as the mayor furiously demanded the agency “get the f–k out” of the city.
In the footage being widely circulated on social media from varying angles, ICE officers approach a plum-colored Honda Pilot and order the driver out of the vehicle after she blocked the path of their truck.
As one of the agents attempts to open the door, she quickly throws the car into reverse before trying to speed forward in the direction of another agent in her path. …
President Trump said in a statement that the driver caused the incident, which he said landed the agent in the hospital.
“The woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense,” he said in a post on Truth Social. …
Video taken from another angle showing the incident from further away appears to show the SUV run into the officer who fired the deadly shots as he leaps out of the path. …
DHS assistant secretary for public affairs Tricia McLaughlin said the incident happened while ICE was conducting “targeted operations” when “violent rioters” began blocking the streets.
One of the violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them — an act of domestic terrorism,” she said in an X post.
And from the left:
“They are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly: that is bulls—t. This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying,” [Mayor Frey] said, pledging a full investigation into the incident.
“To ICE: Get the f—k out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here. Your stated reason for being here is to create some kind of safety and you are doing exactly the opposite.” …
Embattled Minn. Gov. Tim Walz fired back “don’t believe this propaganda machine” and promised the state will conduct “a full, fair, and expeditious investigation to ensure accountability and justice.”
People are being whipped up into an anti-ICE frenzy by the left. Whether this woman was one of them remains to be seen, and I certainly don’t know at this point. But I wouldn’t trust anything Frey and Walz say.

I have seen the videos that have been posted. It does look like she was driving directly into the ICE agent. Did she know what she was doing at that moment? Don’t know. I had read somewhere (sorry, don’t know where now) that she had been following the ICE agents. I have no idea if that is true.
It is kind of cold in Minneapolis, so will there be riots? Dems are sure ginning it up.
The media gives a distorted view of what is going on with ICE, for example indicating that immigration judge’s orders should be followed by the executive branch, despite them being low level employees of the executive branch.
In CA the state banned LEO use of masks (CHP excepted), but the law can’t apply to fed agents. So it is often called “theater”, but I think it is more than that. The Karens who confront ICE are already confused and ill informed. They will think fed agents are breaking another law which will further incite them.
So the Democrats have their George Floyd of 2026. I fear this will not end well for anybody.
When I first saw the video angle from the rear all the Ds and left are going with, I had doubts about whether the shooting was justified. It looked like they just opened fire as the woman pulls away. However, when viewed from the front one sees the officer who was hit by the vehicle and was not visible from the rear angle.
The process of martyrdom for Renee Good is already in progess. I predict she will be the next George Floyd. Tampon has stated he is considering mobilizing the Nation Guard….not sure what his intention is, but he seemed to imply using the Guard against ICE….that would definitely start CW2.
The leftists I follow are yelling for violence against Trump and anyone who voted for him. We are in uncharted waters.
Invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807. Both St. Paul and Minneapolis mayors have been calling for ICE officers to be shot.
I’ve seen several videos, including the one which shows the officer being hit by the car, and the car veering off to the right only after the shot was fired. She was clearly blocking the ICE car, and refused orders to leave her car. Whether she knew there was an officer in front of her when she accelerated is a question, but that made no difference to the officer, who could have been killed whether she saw him or not. The right thing to do when given orders by law enforcement is to obey, and sort out the issues in a non-violent manner.
I’m suffering from “Minnesota Fatigue.”
“Breathtaking how Mayor Frey recklessly” defends this anti-civil rage.
Says Jonathan Turley at FNC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z33Mk1pCwm8
I can also report Powerlineblog.com (Minnesota based) and NewsAmmo.com (Omaha based) web sites down. Leftist DNS by hactivists? Sure seems like it.
Minneapolis is a hive of communists just like Portland.
Is the SEAL Team busy. Minnesota could use liberating.
I’m suffering from “Minnesota Fatigue.”
Me too. I find it hard to care.
Did she know what she was doing at that moment?
My impression is no. She was probably hyped up and not paying much attention. But trying to run was just stupid. She needed to be cool, not angry.
Kate or physics guy could you share a link to the video showing the officer being hit or from the front angle? I’ve only seen the angle from behind and shockingly search engines aren’t easily showing me any others. Didn’t see it on Instapundit either?
(Incidentally, you are both some of my favorite commanders and there are a lot of good ones here!)
Minnesota could use liberating.
We need to swap Minnesota for Alberta as soon as possible.
She had her spouse and her child in the car with her, so she was probably distracted. In any case, the officer should have shot at the tires, not at the driver. He could have killed three people (or more) instead of one. The tires and the car can be replaced: people can’t be.
This is what happens when you put uniforms on anyone who shows up, instead of following the 10:80:10 rule. I’m just surprised it took this long to happen.
I don’t know about their child, but her spouse was not in the car. She was standing further away filming the whole thing.
BJ what are you talking about? She used her car as a weapon and use of deadly force is authorized. Or are you just saying what comes into your head?
MN. Governor deploying MNNG against ICE?
https://www.oann.com/newsroom/walz-prepares-minnesota-natl-guard-for-possible-deployment-following-ice-shooting-says-state-is-at-war-with-the-federal-government/
BJ must have seen too many Lone Ranger movies in which the hero always shoots the gun out of the hand of the bad guy.
Fortunately, for him, we will never know what he would do in a situation like that.
I have not seen anything about husband and child in the car. If that is accurate, the husband should have been counseling her not to obstruct the agents, considering, and to stay calm when challenged.
I don’t suppose we will ever know her intent; unless she made a phone call or gave some other indication. If she just panicked, the whole thing could have been a horrible mistake. But I cannot help recalling another one, when the Minneapolis police officer shot and killed the Australian woman who had called for help and approached the police car in her pajamas. Different reactions entirely. Then, of course, we have the shooting in the Capital.
Funny, if Walzie calls up the Guard, then Trump nationalizes them and deploys them to where ever. Maybe LA. They then will have to choose whether to obey Trump, or face court martial.
Walz may let his mouth get ahead of his brain, again.
@Oldflyer:
I’m afraid The Lone Ranger went off the air long before I was born.
No, I’ve just watched a lot of cop shows, where a trained officer shoots at the tires to make the car stop, rather than shooting at the driver which a) sets up a manslaughter charge b) endangers passengers who are in the car, and c) makes the car go out of control, thus killing many more people.
As you can see in the video, the officer was standing off to the side, not right in front. When he shoots the driver, her car goes out of control. Fortunately, she was only going about two miles an hour. Even so, her SUV crashes into the back of a white car, totalling it. There’s no word on whether her passengers are safe, but the ICE guy ambled on by, not a scratch on him. He was in great shape for someone who had been “run over”.
https://xcancel.com/maxnesterak/status/2008961959731859757#m
I’ve just watched a lot of cop shows
You realize they are made up, right? Like some of your “facts”.
@Chuck,
I assure you that The Lone Ranger really did go off the air before I was born. It was canceled because it was unrealistic, while cop shows are usually based on real cops and real cases and real procedures.
I asked you to watch the video and judge for yourself. That was real. The real ICE agent fired a real gun with real bullets at a real woman in a real car, and now a real woman is really dead. She wasn’t a “crisis actor” who’s going to wash off fake blood, collect her paycheck and go home. There are no “crisis actors” like the blogs like to fantasize about. They are real people in the real world who are really dead. Three real children have really lost their real mother for the rest of their real lives, and a real family is really mourning tonight, and there’s a real tragedy. If you listened to the real world, you would know that.
I deviated from my usual practice, and wasted 10 seconds reading a comment by the aptly named “BJ”.
Kristie Noem’s press conference is worth watching. She said the insurrectionists have been training people how to ram federal agents’ vehicles; that the dead woman had been following and harassing the agents all morning; and that there had been six vehicle ramming attacks today.
https://youtu.be/U4epLH-Sl-c
God bless ICE, CBP, and all law enforcement people who actually enforce our laws!
You’re appealing to the authority of … screenwriters.

I haven’t heard anything about her child being in the car. Evidently her main dyke was in the area.
==
https://www.hillsidechapelfh.com/obituaries/Timmy-Macklin/#!/Obituary
==
This is the obituary of the child’s father. She’s not listed as a survivor, so they were not married at that time. The obituary lists no cause of death and does not state where he was living at the time of his death; the funeral was held in a suburb of Portland, so he may have resided there. I’m guessing the siblings listed are a jumble of actual siblings, stepsiblings, and quondam stepsiblings. The obituary states he was in the Air Force for 14 years (ca. 2007 to ca. 2021), but lists no other occupation apart from performing in comedy clubs.
==
All the addresses I find on the child’s paternal grandfather indicate the old man returned to East Tennessee about 20 years ago. The old man is apparently 56 years old and his late son was born when he was 17.
==
The late Mr. Macklin was married at least twice, to Anna Marie Le Doux in 2008 and to Renee Nicole Ganger in 2018. He’d have been in the Air Force on both occasions. I’m guessing he was stationed in Colorado when he met Renee Nicole Ganger and was then transferred to the Virginia Tidewater, where the marriage was solemnized.
The incident itself and various bits and pieces in her biography suggest to me that the late Ms. Good was a person motivated by her emotions. There’s a downside to that.
We’re all motivated by our emotions. The question is how well regulated are they
In the videos I have seen, she is plainly blocking the road with her car and obstructing the ICE agents. Obstructing the police is illegal.
@BJ
May God save us from the Sunday Quarterback idealists. I will try to be civil when talking to you and assume you are acting in sincerity with what you write rather than being a particularly malicious troll. But hard truths have to be said about what a Fucking Godawful, Irresponsible spiel you have spewed, that absolutely will get more people killed and hurt if taken even slightly seriously.
Firstly: This is EVEN MORE DAMNING for her, rather than exculpatory. There was absolutely zero legitimate or legal reason whatsoever for her to get involved with ICE in this particular scenario. None Whatsoever. That goes doubly so when present with her spouse and child on scene and the child in the car. And yet she apparently decided to do so.
It would be inaccurate to say “I have no words”, but for a while I did not. And when I did I had to self-censor a bit due to the string of curses and swears directed at her. It isn’t often I have much praise for the likes of Karl Marx or Fred Engels, and even less so for their family life, but I will say this: when they decided to do stupid terroristic shit like sneak back into West Prussia in 1845-8 to participate in various cockamanie revolts, neither brought their children with them. Likewise Stalin, where the only children who were endangered (beyond the general risk of Kremlin politics) were adults doing military service.
So by doing this, the deceased chose to put her family in the middle of a confrontation with armed and understandably jumpy law enforcement officers and then to go dick around with them. Including doing stupid, irresponsible, sudden actions in a motor vehicle.
By doing this, she broadcast that not only did she place whatever cause she was trying to champion above her own safety and wellbeing, but that of her family. And as a result she got herself KILLED and made her child lose one parent through actions that are COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY HER FAULT (for reasons I will discuss later).
Secondly: The fact that there was an innocent child in the car with her made shooting her to neutralize the threat she posed MORE JUSTIFIED, NOT LESS. It also makes the “alternative” you demand not only the utterly impractical Hollywood BS dangerous to the officers and anyone nearby that it would “normally” be and adds morally irresponsible and dangerous to the child on top of it due to the wonders of how this thing called “Physics” work, and how it interacts with human reactions. I will detail that more later.
But for now let’s say that it even more imperative to make her STOP the car by ANY means necessary, AS soon as possible.
No, he absolutely should have shot the driver, not the tires. Ironically for exactly the reasons you mention, but apparently do not grasp.
So it’s time for remedial physics for the borderline math illiterate (such as myself).
I am not a car guru, so I do not know the make and model and specs just by eyeballing it. But I will say that a car is at a minimum hundreds of imperial/customary pounds and usually a couple thousand. And usually propelled by engines in the hundreds of horsepower. Put together, this makes a wonderfully convenient, vital form of transportation able to get places quickly.
It also makes a horrifyingly powerful physical force that can inflict immense damage when it hits something. For reference, the most powerful human punch recorded clocks in at 96 horsepower. and punches much less powerful have been more than capable of killing people. Your average car has somewhere between 4 to 10 times that amount of power just waiting for the turn of the ignition or gas pedal, and routinely able to go dozens of miles per hour (or in other words, usually 1 mile a minute or more).
Now, Newton’s Laws of Motion state:
“1. A body remains at rest, or in motion at a constant speed in a straight line, unless it is acted upon by a force.
2. At any instant of time, the net force on a body is equal to the body’s acceleration multiplied by its mass or, equivalently, the rate at which the body’s momentum is changing with time.
3. If two bodies exert forces on each other, these forces have the same magnitude but opposite directions.”
Newton’s Laws have flaws in them and have been since revised, but for the scales we’re working on this one holds. So that car able to go at 30 miles per hour (or a mile every 2 minutes) is going to keep going with the same force that it has unless some other force acts upon it, causing an equal and opposite reaction to bleed off some of that velocity.
The problem is that the equal and opposite forces from a thousand or so pound car going maybe 15 miles an hour starting up impacting on an ICE officer’s body, and the force of the ICE Officer’s Body impacting on the car will have drastically unequal EFFECTS due to the vast differences in their masses and velocities. Which is why cars can so easily run over things even when going at rather slow speeds.
Now, Earth is not a perfect Newtonian Void (indeed even the freaking Void of Space isn’t). There are forces acting upon that car all the time, such as gravity. There is also friction, the force of the road, officer’s body, offroad, or whatever else the car is driving that would slow it down to a stop EVENTUALLY, in the absence of any other, greater force.
But that EVENTUALLY will take a few minutes. Minutes someone smashed against a car does not have.
Indeed, this is also why one of the few forces readily on hand capable of stopping the vast forces generated by a car driving off from the power input of an engine is…. the same input of the engine, hence breaking. But even that takes a while. Which is why if you’ve seen even a fraction of the TV Shows your “answer’ indicates you have, you have DEFINITELY seen fictional, fantasyland cars either swerve or try to come to a sudden, screeching halt on a dime. And that doesn’t go too well precisely because that doesn’t stop the need to bleed off the remaining force to bring the car to a stop, it just speeds it up (and also can cause a whiplash effect with the car “bucking” bac).
You might even have seen some actual footage of things like this.
So what’s the relevance of this?
Well, the tire DOES NOT actually provide the force or momentum propelling a car. Which is why you can (and some people HAVE) succeeded in driving tireless cars or even flat-bottomed cars across the street and God Only Knows What Else for a while, often sending sparks and metal shavings flying, until it eventually stops from force of friction. The Tire EXISTS to provide a more convenient way for the wheels to interface with the road, a more endurable, pliable medium that will resist wear and tear up to a point, provide traction and direction, and allow you to stop or start more smoothly, and allow someone to direct the force more readily.
And even then the forces of normal tire wear will GRIND THE TIRES SMOOTH, which is why you need to replace them.
So shooting the tires DOES NOT STOP THE FORCE OF A CAR BEING PROPELLED BY ITS ENGINE. It only SHIFTS that force and slightly dilutes it (which will HELP slow down and eventually, EVENTUALLY stop the car, but only after a significant lead in), and often will redirect it. Especially if you shoot out only say – one or two or three tires at different times, resulting in even more unevenness in how the car is interacting.
So in other words, not only will shooting out the tire probably just mean your body parts get ground under one deflating tire and some intact ones rather than just the intact ones, it makes the car more likely to FLIP OVER OR ON ITS SIDE, JOSTLING EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE INSIDE OR AROUND IT ACCORDINGLY from the significant force that is the car moving in that direction.
Now, I don’t know about you but I fail to see how risking the car flipping over will help ANYONE In this situation, least of all the ICE agents directly adjacent to it or the innocent girl inside it (was she even wearing a seat belt?).
THAT is why it is imperative and necessary to shoot the driver as quickly as possible and hope doing so stops the car power. Precisely because human lives cannot be replaced, and fucking around in that moment of crisis is more likely to kill more of them than not.
And that’s assuming you even CAN aim at the tires and fire in time, which would require literally split second responses to aim at an awkward target. If you don’t believe me, get a water or paint gun, go stand around a parked car where the officers were, and see if you can bring your gun up to shoot or even aim at the tire within the seconds between when the car moved and the shot was fired.
I’m going to guess it will take a while to get the timing. Especially if you are in the position of the officer out in front. Which means you’re Fucked, because in this situation the officers do not have “a while” to get the timing and angle right. They have One Chance.
Oh yeah, and that’s an easier shot than they’d have. Because rather than a parked car, this one is moving. Meaning where the wheels are is suddenly shifting. Good Luck.
No, this is what happens when irresponsible, malevolent idiots fuck around, and are unjustly given the benefit of the doubt by judgmental, ignorant, irresponsible idiots.
And yes, this IS me restraining my language. Because the actual judgement would be even harsher.
ICE and other LEOs have had plenty worse happen by their operatives, with Ashii Babbitt being a logical counterpoint. I can and will fault them when that applies. But not here. The driver was by all indications trying to harm ICE agents with lethal force, or at a minimum ACTING like she was doing so.
In Current Year that’s really no excuse.
And if anything what you come up with is even worse. Because at least you CAN shoot guns out of peoples’ hands in real life, even accidentally. And a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY Few times some have tried and succeeded to do so intentionally. But good luck finding anybody experienced that would suggest doing that as a course of action.
But there is basically zero grounds for shooting out the tires at this area where a car is point blank almost against an agent or civilian, capable of mowing them down with what from the driver would be a very, VERY passing motion.
Funny, so have I. That doesn’t mean I’m prepared to believe them uncritically. Because even the best and most scrupulously researched ones are ultimately Fiction, if not outright Fantasy, meant to be palatable to the 12+ age bracket, much like the Lone Ranger.
This is unfathomably stupid on multiple levels, several of which I mentioned.
But firstly: You know what you DIDN’T see?
The multiple takes it almost certainly took to get a given “shot” of that correct. Even in the most accurate ones (where usually a car speeding is brought to a stop by a carefully pointed and poised sniper, meant to bring the car to a GRADUAL stop as the tires go out and the underlying wheel grinds down, and especially in the others).
Your average -non-action scene (say dialogue from cops dealing with their banter and sitcom relationship chemistry or rivalry)? That usually gets done in 2-3 takes. Action scenes? Often 3-6.
So let me say again: THE ACTUAL, LIVING OFFICERS ON THE SCENE DO NOT HAVE FIVE TAKES TO GET IT RIGHT. IF THEY SCREW UP, THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PROSPECT OF GOING OFF THE STAGE TO CATCH SOME LUNCH AND THEN GET BACK THE NEXT DAY. They have ONE CHANCE, and if they screw it up, then MORE people probably die or get hurt.
Secondly: Shooting out the tires is MORE likely to cause the car to get out of control (you know, SINCE TIRES ARE SOME OF THE MAIN WAYS YOU CONTROL THE CAR ON THE PAVEMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE) and to endanger people in it an around it than shooting the passenger.
This is also why police attacks on tires on a perp – whether by sniper or more preferably by spike traps – is usually done with much more “lead in” when the car is not imminently threatening someone in the next three or so seconds, and has the time and place to more or less harmlessly grind to a stop over the course of a minute or more. For obvious reasons, this is not the case.
And please do not tell me you have never seen spike traps be discussed or deployed on the Cop Shows you have watched.
Oh, and while we’re on the subject of citing fantasy media as authorities or valid sources for life or death scenarios in real life, that source of boundless authenticity and factual accuracy James Freaking Bond (books, movies, and games) got this closer to correct by pointing out how taking out a tire on a car can cause it to do unpredictable and dangerous things due to loss of control.
This is confirmable if you bother listening to police radio or watching actual cop or dash cam footage of scenarios like this, even if those feature less gratuitous explosions.
You are quite literally proposing something that is more FANCIFUL than a freaking James Bond game involving an evil corporate warlord commanding a solar laser weapon. Congratulations BJ. Did your username take inspiration from Wolfenstein by chance?
That officer was. The others were not. And that was the risk. Moreover, that was dependent upon the possibility that her BEING IN CONTROL would result in less damage, ie that she did not intend to attack ICE using the car ramming, as has happened in many other cases. For what I would hope are obvious reasons, the ICE agents at the time COULD NOT assume that was the case.
Congratulations for missing the point. This is the sort of stuff that seriously makes me wonder if extending you the benefit of the doubt that you were sincere and acting in good faith ignorance rather than malice was the right choice. But to spell it out “Imagine that force directed onto the ICE agent. Or at an angle from the uneven tire pressures causing the car to shift to the sides or even flip over, which is definitely something that can happen at low speeds.”
The effective neutralizing shot effectively ended any acceleration and made the car bounce into the white car, smashing up part of it. That force going onto the officer as is, let alone from even a modest acceleration, would be unacceptable.
Considering the year The Lone Ranger went off the air- 1957- saw Gunsmoke and Zorro rise to dominate the silver screen ratings, I can pretty confidently say that “unrealistic” had very little to do with why it was cancelled. Moreover, saying “cop shows are usually based on real cops and real cases” is about as meaningful as seeing the “based on a true story” stuff in say Fargo (where it turns out that was outright false). Sure, media has generally gotten better at portraying details (and has had knock on effects like the CSI effect) within the background of its fiction, but it is still ultimately fiction. Even the Police Quest games (which are vastly more true to practice and based on study from police) are ultimately that and have divergences.
And even then the idea of “Just Shoot out the tires at point blank range where she can easily run you over if she is so inclined” will feature very very rarely.
Because it is on the whole even more fantastical than The Lone Ranger and his Gun-tracking bullets for the reasons I discussed.
I have, and I did.
And I also asked you to apply some various tests to yourself to try and imagine how to handle a situation like this, using much diminished compared to the real situation difficulties.
And had things gone differently, her idiocy and radicalism would likely have killed more people.
This is fucking hilarious coming from you, after uncritically, seriously, citing FREAKING TV SHOWS with God Knows How Many Takes Per Scene To Get Things Right as a serious source for how REAL LIFE officers should deal with a confrontational, probably hostile activist right up in them, with the massive power that a car has. It’s also nakedly hypocritical. These were not glamorous actors and actresses playing the officer ensemble or heels playing the suspicious, violent edgy cops in some Sitcom or Drama like those my family and I consume. Nor were they the heels playing the suspicious, violent edgy cops. They were real people who faced down death. One of their number – in REAL LIFE – had been hit by a car driven by a perpetrator in a previous case. Other ICE agents have been hurt or worse by vehicular attacks.
https://www.frontpagemag.com/california-dems-helped-normalize-assaulting-ice-with-cars/
These were REAL people, real humans, asked to do the extraordinary and accept the risks so that others would not, facing the risk of death to themselves and others. They were asked to act in split seconds before things had the chance to get worse. And they did.
This is abjectly retarded and an even greater conspiratorial myth than whatever Alex Jones idiotically blathered about Sandy Hook. Crisis Actors exist. You can find them in droves. “Pallywood” is a good example of this. And on a more domestic case, Jussie Smollett acted as one and hired goon to fake an attack on him to demonize his political opponents.
But more relevantly for this case are professional agitators and crybullies who seek conflict and then try to act like the victim. The indications from what we see are that the driver either was one, or acted as such. Again, putting herself and her family at risk in the process.
One real person who is really dead, and mercifully so before she could harm others for the reasons I mention.
AND WHOSE MOTHERFUCKING FAULT IS THAT, BJ?!?!
THE MOTHER WHO DECIDED TO FUCK AROUND WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH ABSOLUTELY NO JUSTIFICATION, PUTTING HER KIDS AT RISK IN A WAY EVEN FUCKING MARX DID NOT WHILE HER WIFE JUST FILMED!
The Driver made her choice, and she chose WRONG. And at a time and place where LITERALLY DOING NOTHING Would have had better results for all involved. And now everyone else has to live with those consequences.
But at least they get to Live. That is not an outcome we can assume had the Painfully Real ICE agents not done what they did rather than your fantasy TV Show.
Don’t you dare lecture on the real world until you get out there and give me the time it takes for you to draw a water gun on the tire of a car from the vantage point of one of the officers. And how many times it would take.
If the New York Post is correct, the youngster was in school and the presence of Renee Nicole Good at the site was at the insistence of the other half of this lesbian pairing. (The mother of Renee Nicole Good has said her daughter would not have taken an interest in political demonstrations &c).
The child was at school, fortunately, while the mother and her partner were driving around the city harassing and targeting ICE agents. At the time of this shooting, the driver was at the wheel blocking an ICE vehicle while her partner was outside the car filming, hoping for some really good video to put online and make themselves heroes. Role playing for the leftist mob.
I think these things can be true at the same time:
First, unless there are more facts still unknown, I can’t see how there is even any reasonable debate about whether the officer has a valid self defense claim. The state of mind of the driver is irrelevant to that analysis. I happen to believe that she got scared and panicked. Even if that is the case, she got scared, panicked, and drove a vehicle towards and may have even struck a law enforcement officer. There is no “but she didn’t really mean it” exception to self defense.
Second, the behavior of leftists towards federal law enforcement is dangerous, idiotic, and a threat to the rule of law. That includes what this woman was doing. That includes what leftists politicians are doing when they encourage resistance and call for the federal government to leave their states. Incredibly dangerous. Incredibly reckless. The blood of this woman is on the hands of the politicians and activists who encourage this behavior.
Third, deliberately provocative law enforcement in this environment is also dangerous and stupid. The Somali fraud in MN was almost exclusively perpetrated by citizens and legal immigrants. Responding to it by surging ICE to Minneapolis was the equivalent of throwing gasoline on a fire. Trump and his MO of maximum trolling 100% of the time also bears some of the responsibility for this tragedy.
@Paul S. 11:37 p.m.: I can’t find the one which is even better; I’m sure the conservative commentary sites will be featuring it. However, at the very beginning of this one you can see the SUV actually hitting the officer who was in front of the car.
https://x.com/Timcast/status/2008975472391323896?s=20
It looked to me like an extremely bad case of FAFO.
The Left got it’s death it’s been trying for months. Now it can rev up its base.
Bauxite goes off the rails in point “3.”
The left doesn’t care about federal law, illegal immigration, or fraud.
You do understand that Bauxite?
Have you been paying attention at all to the left’s violence directed against Federal LEOs and Federal facilities (Portland for example) during the last 10 years?
Consider that the violent left celebrates murder for their “cause.” The arc of history and all that. Eggs and omelettes.
Get a grip Bauxite.
Will Waltz and Frey let Minneapolis burn or try to incite the MN National Guard to obstruct ICE in order to get the focus off of Somalifraud?
There are consequences for insurrection, Timmy and Dimmy.
Yep Bauxite reverted back to CC™ in his point “3.”
This is the most insightful comment – we all need to remember the term “LARP”. Not an excuse, but an explanation of this particular craziness.
https://x.com/memeticsisyphus/status/2009057994655301739
I think a lot of radicalization happens in spaces where it’s all talk. Everything is hypothetical. It’s easy to larp as a revolutionary, as someone who stands against oppression. There’s a lack of seriousness about it all. You start to believe the memes. You start to believe you’re a hero, you’re the main character. Then you convince yourself to do something really dumb, like pull your car in front of police officers. They draw their guns and the larp crumbles, you’re not that person, this is real life and those are real guns. Nothing but get the hell out of here screams in her brain. She probably didn’t see the officer standing in front of her car as she smashes the gas.
The officers can’t know this of course. They don’t know what she’s thinking they just know when guns were drawn asking her to step out of her vehicle she slammed on the gas in the direction of an officer. They’re not in a Larp. Their job is real and they encounter people who want to kill them. So they fire.
No one in this woman’s life told her she’s on a retarded destructive larp. She was encouraged by her peer group. Viral videos of similarly lost radical larpers getting nothing but praise online. Politicians calling the enforcement of our laws akin to Nazis, calling them illegitimate, calling them evil. Telling their citizens to make their voices heard. Everyone in her life failed her. She needed someone to tell her to grow up. Instead she had no one and now she’s dead.
A horrible case of internet radicalization.
Now they are saying it was an abducted school teacher.
What Turtler said.
In spades.
1. To commenters who say the officer who shot was not in front of the car, there is a photo on the internet showing the car with a bullet hole through the windshield right in front of the driver. Not the side window — the windshield. That would not be possible if the officer shot at the car as it was driving away.
2. Is it too late to give Minnesota back to the tribes who originally lived there? First Nations and all that.
Did it dawn on her that she was facing Federal charges? Panic!
“The nazis are about to get me!!!”
Did she not realize that it’s hard to outrun a radio? Did she consider that hit and run with a vehicle is a potential act of murder or at least manslaughter?
If you will hit an armed LEO with your vehicle what might you do to an unarmed civilian in your way?
She won the LARP stupid prize. The ultimate FO.
Was she a “theater kid?”
Questions for BJ and CC™.
That woman is dead because she was stupid. The leftist version of “hold my beer and watch this.”
Had she complied with the officer’s command and gotten out of the car, she’d be alive. Would she spend a few hours in jail? Maybe. But even if the DA filed charges (and that’s a big if in that jurisdiction) she’d get off with AT MOST community service. Shoot, it’s doubtful the DA would even bother to file charges since the chances of getting a conviction would be close to zero.
And let’s suppose that the officer did not fire, and let’s further suppose she hit him and caused life threatening injuries. The DA might have no choice but to charge her, but she’d get a high end defense at a steeply discounted rate by using promo code DNC RIOT. And there would be the not inconsiderable chances of jury nullification.
And don’t kid yourselves, before that woman’s body was even cold the DFL and DNC were already gleefully at work writing fundraising emails. That is how scummy these people are.

That’s a link to an interview of someone who lives near where Renee Nicole Good was shot by an ICE agent. She saw the incident and describes it in some detail.
This is the clearest witness report I’ve seen, so far. We’ve yet to hear from the ICE agent who fired his weapon.
Responding to it by surging ICE to Minneapolis was the equivalent of throwing gasoline on a fire.
==
What they’re ‘responding to’ is the large pool of illegal aliens in Minnesota.
I’m going to wait to see if Nate the Lawyer does a video on this. That being said if you haven’t watched his video on police use of force including deadly force I’d say go ahead a watch them. They’re very informative on how this works.
I can’t do the job that Turtler does, but let me point out the irrational thinking in Bauxite’s #3. Most Somalis in Minnesota have legal status, including most of those who have been charged so far in the various fraud schemes. This is true. Therefore, he says, it is wrong for ICE to go to the area enforcing immigration law, because it won’t address the frauds. Does he think there are no illegals in Minneapolis – St. Paul? Does he have any evidence that ICE agents are targeting people who are legally present? And should the U.S. government avoid enforcing one set of laws in an area where there is rampant fraud on other points? This would be giving in to mob action.
On a side note, the paternal grandfather of this woman’s child has said he’s on his way to Minneapolis to collect his grandson. You have three other grandparents (two married to each other) and then there’s the ‘wfe’.
==
One curio is that CNN quotes her father as saying she moved in with them after her husband died, then off to Minneapolis. Her husband’s obituary. composed in May of 2023, has no mention of her. Supposedly, she has two other children. ages 12 and 15. It is not clear where they live or who has been caring for the.

The above is what happens when you post without a clue.

No, I’ve just watched a lot of cop shows, where a trained officer shoots at the tires to make the car stop, rather than shooting at the driver which a) sets up a manslaughter charge b) endangers passengers who are in the car, and c) makes the car go out of control, thus killing many more people.
At the distance involved shooting at the tires would not have done anything. Shooting the driver was the correct action.
The fact others in the car were at risk is on the driver.

This is the second assertion of this nature I’ve seen in fora like this in as many days. Few people would have the granular knowledge to speak authoritatively on this point (though someone who fancies screenwriters are authorities might have a somewhat lax understanding of what that means). I do wonder which talking point mill has been spewing this line.
Kate – Of course there are illegals in Minneapolis. But there are illegals all over the country. I think that’s where your argument goes off the rails. The activities in MN right now are not normal law enforcement. Trump and the DHS chose to surge ICE to MN right now.
Not that there’s anything wrong with ICE surges, but you can’t tell me that the twin cities in MN are the only place in the country where it made sense to do that right now. In fact, you don’t really even need to try because Trump said quite clearly that he chose to surge ICE to MN right now BECAUSE of the Somali scandals. (Even though there is almost no causal relationship between illegal immigration and Somali fraud.)
Yesterday’s tragedy was an entirely predictable result of that decision. The people most responsible for yesterday’s tragedy are, by far, (i) the victim herself; and (ii) the leftist politicians who egg on gullible wannabe activists like here. But, I’m sorry, some level of blame can also be assigned to Trump for using ICE to troll Minnesotans over the the Somali fraud scandals. This, or something like it, was almost inevitable.
(And – I think Ben David is really on to something about LARPing. What happens when you’re LARPing and you get scared, but now there are real law enforcement officers and you’ve just committed a real felony? I think that’s probably what happened yesterday.)
I think that’s what happened yesterday, too, Bauxite. But no, I don’t think it was illegitimate to send ICE into MN when many other major metropolitan areas have also had “surges,” the Twin Cities being later than others. These larping radicals have been activated all over the country, without regard to “what Trump said.”
Leave it to Bauxy to blame it on Trump. Can we please now dispense with the delusion he is anything but a troll?

Somalis are mostly recent refugees (who should have never been here) who either gained citizenship of are not citizens.
If they are not citizens then their fraud activities should result in deportation. If they are citizens it might be possible for them to lose citizenship. And like anyplace else, illegals should be deported.
avi:
Please stop with the “kapo” thing. I wrote a post about why I say that – see this.
Ben David
On one of my deployments with the Navy we carried a Special Warfare detachment. Best advice I got from one of the operators was: “Once you start believing your own bullshit, it’s going to end bad.”
This point has probably already been made, the the very fact that Minneapolis mayor has so stridently told ICE to get out, creates the situation that ICE can’t leave/ignore Minnesota. It would be the heckler’s veto.
Rather than blaming ICE/administration for inflaming the situation, the blame goes on the Dems/leftists that have actually done the inflaming.
It’s not like ICE is acting unlawfully. They wear masks, have bullet proof vests, act militarily because the Dems/leftists have created an environment that makes it impossible to act as regular law enforcement.
I saw firsthand the deportations in the 80’s following the Reagan amnesty agreement, where the government was entering agriculture facility and rounding up many/most of the workers for deportation. No guns drawn, just officials loading up illegals into vans and driving away.
How things have changed. And it’s due to the militarization by the Dems/leftists/communists, properly labeled “collectivists”.
a lot of cop shows, where a trained officer shoots at the tires to make the car stop, rather than shooting at the driver
A terrible idea, given that shooting out tires (even if it can be done) doesn’t cancel out the laws of motion, as Turtler pointed out, just makes the car uncontrollable.
Instead, ICE should have called in a helicopter to gently and safely remove the car, or if one wasn’t available, used a time machine to send a negotiator back in time to convince the woman to do something else that day.
ICE was looking for specific people. If state and local governments would hand over these wanted criminals at the courthouse or the jailhouse, ICE would not have to go looking for them.
Because at least you CAN shoot guns out of peoples’ hands in real life, even accidentally. And a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY Few times some have tried and succeeded to do so intentionally. But good luck finding anybody experienced that would suggest doing that as a course of action.
Kyle Rittenhouse shot Gage in the arm that was holding the Glock, with a 5.56 mm rifle. Gage continued to hold the Glock after being shot. Kyle would have been justified in shooting him again. But the direct hit on the arm did not disarm him.
There are three reasons shooting the tires wasn’t a good idea:
1. The agent who shot was in the cars grill. He didn’t have line of sight on the tires at that moment.
2. Shooting is a use of lethal force. If you shoot for a tire you are signaling you don’t face an immediate threat of lethal force and therefore are not justified in using lethal force.
3. Shooting the tire wouldn’t immediately stop the car’s movement (i.e., it wasn’t an answer to the immediate problem).
So now it appears that the ICE agent had been dragged by a car before, getting injured in the process.
I feel sorry for the woman’s parents and kid(s). But not the woman. This disrespect for the law HAS to stop. I can’t imagine ignoring an order from a law enforcement officer. But it’s getting so widespread.
I wonder if our anti-Trump commenter also thinks that Trump was responsible for the ICE-involved shooting in Portland, Oregon, today. After all, fraud is being exposed in Oregon as well as Minnesota.
Would that comenter be BJ or Bauxite (CC™)?
@Bauxite
Quit while you are behind, CC. Because this is trolling bullshit, even if perfumed, and I am tired of pretending good faith and sincerity months after I have had ample evidence and then some to disbelieve it.
They can be. They just aren’t. Not in this reality.
As om and others pointed out, Bauxite goes off in point three as the Trump Derangement Syndrome brain rot takes over. So I will focus on that
This bullshit from you is dangerous and stupid. Literally. Actually literally. If you wonder why you have steadily lost credibility and patience from people here, and why the GOPe you have associated with has been discredited to such an extent, this is one reason why. By peddling this insulting victim blaming “but Trump” horse pucky to give yourself the veneer of false moderation or reason, you are giving aid and comfort to criminal conspiracies breaking the law, massively defrauding Americans, and endangering both Americans and others while hurting us.
What is dangerous and stupid is allowing illegal immigrants (whether openly recognized as such or fraudulently passing as legal ones) and other violators of US law free sanctuary from enforcement.
There is so much wrong with this pile of bullshit it is not even funny, and it also demonstrates why I no longer assume good faith when Bauxite is talking about Trump. Because being a bit by, gaslighting asshole is unbecoming for this blog, especially when it is based on comic and probably intentional misunderstandings of the issues while tilling at a farcical caricature of Trump.
Firstly, let us note that like usual in these “discourses” Bauxite is reliant upon a delusional straw man of Trump that has at best tertiary relation to the flesh and blood Cheeto Man. He IS NOT in fact in “maximum trolling 100% of the time”, and anybody honest enough to analyze the man’s actions – for good and bad – would be able to acknowledge that.
Stuff like the plaques for the Presidential Wall of Fame? Yeah that’s Maximum Trolling and IMHO unbecoming, as I explained to a French friend of mine while looking for images of the plaques he had put up (we concluded it was probably ChatGPT generated with input from Trump and others). It was dumb and unbecoming and needlessly confrontational for a decent idea.
Proposing to buy Greenland? Not maximum trolling and a serious and worthwhile idea, even if done with some trolling.
Visiting the graves of service people? Actually you usually see him close to 0% trolling there and he conducts himself very soberly and responsibly.
Likewise when overseeing military operations like the latest Maduro smash and grab.
In contrast to the bullshit strawman Bauxite likes pushing of people like me on this Blog for not accepting his bullshit strawman of Trump, I acknowledge there is plenty to criticize Trump for actually, and others where reasonable people can disagree. I am not a Trump cultist who prays at the idol of God Emperor Orange Man. But I am also not going to pretend that the President ordering ICE to do its JOB is “trolling” because I am retarded enough to think it will help me score points on him in a one sided vendetta.
So having said this, let me go through these points.
A: Notice how even in this, the best Bauxite can say is that the Somali linked large scale frauds in MN are “Almost exclusively” perpetrated by “citizens and legal immigrants.” ALMOST exclusively. You know what that means? That there were those that were illegal immigrants involved.
This alone fully and 100% justifies ICE involvement. It does not matter is that proportion is 25%, 10%, 1%, or 0.01%. Illegal immigrants are the rightful purview of ICE and so they should be involved in operations there.
B: Judging from my previous encounters, Bauxite is probably making a category error, wrongly claiming those that are actually illegal immigrants are legal immigrants. This was obvious in the discussions about Khalil and his deportation proceedings, where Bauxite falsely claimed he was a legal immigrant.
This is blatantly false. Khalil is and remains and always has been an illegal immigrant. The difference is that rather than sneaking into the country on a coyote trail, the documents he obtained to supposedly immigrate legally were fraudulently obtained, with Khalil lying blatantly under oath – mostly by omission – about his connections with terrorist networks. That makes the documents he would depend upon to be a legal immigrant fruit from the poisoned tree based upon fraud and thus null, justifying his removal.
I imagine at least some of those Bauxite would call “legal immigrants” are guilty of similar; like Khalil and Omar.
That would justify ICE involvement.
Thirdly: Even if the large scale, institutional fraud were mostly or even “almost exclusively” perpetrated by actual “citizens and legal immigrants”, there is still vast amounts of more run of the mill illegal immigrant fraud and crime such as Medicare fraud going on. Doubtless of dozens of millions of dollars of cost to the law abiding. This justifies ICE involvement yet again.
Fourthly: Allowing the aforementioned to go unchecked would be a betrayal of oath to the Constitution. WTO deal with this is the very opposite of “trolling”.
Fifthly: Even among those Somali-American criminals that ARE actual, honest to goodness legal citizens or legal immigrants (as opposed to Khalil and Omar style “illegal but you haven’t found the fraud yet” faux-legal), there are those that have committed crimes that fully warrant denaturalization. That is the purview of ICE and justifies their involvement in force.
And even if by some 1 in a billion chance there were none that do, ICE’s involvement on this scale would STILL be justified there because there is every reasonable expectation that some WOULD require denaturalization.
Sixthly: As Brian E pointed out, the very fact that we have a large and threatening criminal network interfacing directly with the political machines in MN demonizing ICE and demanding they back down or get away CREATES YET ANOTHER NEED to go in on strength there to prove the point. Otherwise you allow leftist Neo-Confederates in local and state government to de facto nullify Federal Law and help create de facto No Go Zones like the Paris Suburbs or most of Malmo. This is not an acceptable outcome.
To claim otherwise is idiocy, the only question is whether it is knowingly dishonest idiocy, or unknowingly dishonest idiocy. But whether or not Bauxite is lying to himself and us or just to us is irrelevant for the merits of this.
Your logical fallacy of the sentence is Whataboutism.
You’re not thinking, you’re knee jerking.
They are not normal law enforcement, but this is not or should not be a normal criminal environment. Billions in fraud, much of it going to terrorism or involved with bother criminal networks, at least some of it coming from illegal immigrants as even you acknowledge. This demands a response from law enforcement – including the chief law enforcement officer of these United States-, and an Extraordinary one at that.
And what is at least as damning is how in spite of your demonization of Trump and ICE and others and bullshitting about how this is “throwing gasoline on the fire” you propose absolutely no alternative strategy for this. Probably because you cannot, because you are not and in this post never were acting honestly and have no alternative, because that would be hard and require constructive feedback and educated criticism that you have shown little capacity of being able to give when Great Orange Whale is in the discussion.
Your logical fallacy of the moment is the Motte-and-Bailey fallacy. Starting out staking an extreme and desirable stage to grandstand on but which cannot be successfully defended, and then when pushed retreating to a supposedly more defensible and less radical position.
Except in your case even the Bailey isn’t very defensible, but that’s just Bauxite being Bauxite.
No, the Twin Cities are not the only place in the country that it made sense to surge ICE right now. But it is easily in the top ten, and might well be the most important. And with limited resources as well as the obvious stakes involved, it makes sense.
And for the reasons I mentioned he was absolutely correct to do so.
ALMOST no.
Good people, this is what we call Burying the Lede. Where on some level Bauxite knows full well their stance cannot be defended or justified based on the acknowledged facts of illegal immigrants involved in this fraud, sponsorship of terrorism, and others. But he wants to downplay it.
So continue to not challenge or work to clean up the problems that contributed to it and hope it gets better. Riiiight.
I’ll add in III: the irresponsible, inflammatory agitators that insist on giving credence to and cover for criminal activities and demonizing Trump and ICE on false grounds.
Yes Bauxite, that includes you.
No, you’re not.
Skip the fake pleasantries. You very obviously do not respect our intelligence or time, and are not sorry about spewing inflammatory bullshit to try and score a point in your quest for Bad Orange Man. You’re not sorry, your post here and long track record of conduct shows you are not, so don’t bother pretending.
MN has an illegal immigrant from Somalia as a Representative to the House on the Hill. Even you in the throes of Orange Man Bad rabies and proven incompetence at determining who is and isn’t an illegal immigrant (which is why I smack you so often about Khalil and your claim he was a legal immigrant) can only stretch things to claim there is “Almost no” causal relationship from the illegal immigrants to the most public fraud scandals. Which makes those of us who can count and chew gun wonder what the actual scope is.
By claiming enforcing the Black Letter Law of the Land to stop large scale illegal immigration, fraud, and even terrorist sponsorship is “trolling” you are proving to be a worse and more malevolent troll on this subject than Trump.
And having acted like a dishonest, irresponsible asswipe who rarely misses a chance to take a potshot at Trump and those that support him while helping to signal boost bullshit leftist propaganda while delegitimizing the wholly legitimate and necessary use of law enforcement like ICE to deal with a provable issue, Bauxite proceeds to break every mirror in the zip code in order to maintain the requisite lack of reflection on how things like this came about.
Repulsive.
So is the logic is to not have real law enforcement officers around to help stop the cascading LARP and other crimes so that things get even more out of hand?
Well done, Turtler, and thanks.
Turtler – I don’t even read your screeds anymore. If you can make a point in three paragraphs or less, without name-calling, I’ll read it and respond. Otherwise, it’s not worth my time.
Kate, to answer your question, no, by my reasoning the shootings in Portland would not be Trump’s fault. This is because the two things that I pointed out about MN don’t apply to Portland. First, Portland has a healthy dose of crazy most of the time, but there’s nothing going on there that is anything like the Somali fraud scandal in MN. Second, to my knowledge at least, there was no surge of ICE agents to Portland. The shootings there were part of ordinary law enforcement activities.
Trump’s MO is attack, attack, attack. Sometimes that’s good. Sometimes its reckless. His natural response to the Somali fraud scandal was to attack, attack, attack by sending in an ICE surge that was almost wholly unrelated to addressing the scandal. I’m not sure why its so difficult for some around here to acknowledge that, hey, maybe that wasn’t such a good idea.
I’m certainly not absolving the victim or the leftist politicians and agitators who egged her on. They are primarily responsible for what happened. I’m not saying that ICE should have abandoned MN. I’m not saying that ICE shouldn’t have surged at all, just that perhaps, this month, it would have been more prudent to surge somewhere else. Maybe, just maybe, Trump taking a flamethrower to an already smoldering fire wasn’t the best choice. Again, I’m not sure what it’s so hard to admit that.
@Bauxite:Turtler – I don’t even read your screeds anymore. If you can make a point in three paragraphs or less, without name-calling, I’ll read it and respond.
The rest of us read Turtler, and if you don’t, then you’re going to be saying things to the rest of us that he’s already rebutted.
I’m not sure if you primarily just want to vent, or if you want to try to persuade people to see things how you see it. If you actually want to persuade, ignoring Turtler ties one hand behind your back.
There is a lot of illegal immigrants in the Twin Cities, not primarily Somali–but plenty of them lied on their paperwork which invalidates their legal status–and it is a stronghold and sanctuary for Dem lawbreakers and corruption, and Trump is totally right to take the fight to where they are.
The Left ALREADY decided to “surge” to MN some time ago when the Somali frauds started to get front-page coverage a few weeks ago. That’s why they have their pre-printed signs and identical whistles in place. That’s why Renee Good CAME to MN in the first place–she and her wife “aimed to misbehave”.
CC™ demonstrates that he doesn’t know his posterior from an excavation (don’t want to hurt his pride, but verbose) regarding leftist violence in Portland directed against Federal facilities and ICE employees.
IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MORE THAN SIX YEARS, CC™.
MORE THAN SIX YEARS, Bauxite (CC™).
You said you would be eating crow after November 2024. After this bit you just posted no crow is safe on this continent.
If CC™ can’t be trusted to be truthful about violence in Portland why would anything he says about potential organized fraud in Portland be trusted?
It (fraud against Federal social programs) seems to be a “feature, not a bug” in Democrat-run states.

Why does this even matter? The left will respond to ICE wherever Trump sends them.
ICE should be sent where they can do the most good. Antifa is going to react bad wherever he sends them.
The possibility of this type of incident shouldn’t dictate ICE policy, otherwise we are allowing the left to set that policy.
You just want to bash Trump, and twist anything to do that.

Furthermore, Turtler salts his comments with emotionally loaded language which makes them unpleasant venting in my book and doubly not worth my time.
@Huxley
Well my apologies on both parts there. Particularly on the latter. Normally I try to avoid doing that. But Bauxite has a history and I am thoroughly sick of his particular flavor of bad faith gaslighting. And I know it is gaslighting and bad faith due to a couple things like the persistence of several things.
Still, do what you feel necessary with your time.
@Bauxite
Liar Liar Pants on Fire.
You declared you stopped reading my posts months ago, but since then have selectively made replies showing that you have done so. Which does nothing to help your credibility. Moreover, it amuses me that your particular flavor of bitching in this post contains proof that you can and do read my posts.
So you are not beating the allegations.
Oh, how generous! The CC Bauxite pledges on their honor that if I am more concise and avoid being brutally blunt in response to their gaslighting, insults, and insanity, they will respond!
But wait…. how the FUCK would you know if my post has namecalling (like this past one does) if you DIDN’T read the last one?
Hmmmm… makes you think, don’t it?
For the record Bauxite, I am no longer particularly interested in what you could reply in, because after months of good faith efforts to discourse with you, you have persistently displayed a dishonest and mean streak, especially when it comes to the Great Orange Whale. This included you insulting and gaslighting me and others such as Kate.
So what you say is not particularly interesting to me for a couple different reasons, starting with the fact that you consistently fail to argue your way out of a paper bag when it comes to Trump, and going on to the fact that you have a provable track record of dishonesty.
So I’m replying to you not because I think you will reply to me, and even less because I think you will actually ANSWER me in any particularly worthwhile way. I reply for the benefit of others like Kate, Don, om, and the Blogmother, because I think someone should give your particular flavor of sophistry the in depth, Brandolini’s Law endorsed treatment.
As for “namecalling”, I call it as I see it, and can justify and provide proofs for each and every single “name” I have called you.
The fact that you apparently lie and gaslight about basics such as *if you read my post* in THIS VERY COMMENT should do it.
If you want to be taken seriously, grow up, stop being Ahab pursuing the Great Orange Whale, and treat the commentors on this blog with the seriousness and respect people want to be treated.
Oh. But posting umpteen comments using double standards about Trump and lying about things such as the involvement of illegal immigrants in Somali Fraud, Khalil being an illegal immigrant (even if one disguising himself as a legal one much like Omar did), and lying about whether you read my “namecalling” posts is. Totally.
And then you wonder why people – including those that aren’t me – notice something is off.
I’ll remind you that Mighty Casey in the poem failed Mudville and struck out, in large part because of his haughty folly in refusing to play the game or make an effort until the last moment, and failing to do so.
Good people, observe how Bauxite – upon being pushed to admit SOMETHING isn’t Trump’s fault – resorts to double standards and other forms of intellectual laziness and dishonesty in an attempt to make the point.
Ok, so Portland has a “healthy dose” of crazy most of the time, but not so in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, or wider in Minneapolis?
Riiiiight.
This is where wisdom would indicate you should stop digging the hole you’ve found yourself in.
And how would you know?
Portland has become a Northern extension of the California Bay Area in so many ways, and that includes major illegal migrants (and “legal” and actually legal but criminal migrant) operations, as well as a corrupt radically leftist government that has enabled networking by ANTIFA terrorism (as Andrew Ngo can attest) and massive amounts of Fraud.
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2025/09/27/trump-authorizes-troops-to-protect-portland-ice-facilities-from-antifa/
https://www.theblaze.com/news/portland-contract-left-wing-outfit-prison-fraud
So if you were intellectually honest, you would acknowledge that the Twin Cities of Minneapolis (and doubtless other places) have at least comparable “healthy amounts of crazy” as Portland, and that systematic leftist corruption and enabling of ANTIFA, cartels, and fraud would mean we don’t know the scale of misdeeds around Portland.
But as we’ve established, you’re not intellectually honest.
(PS: This is why I feel no need to limit myself to “three paragraphs or less.” Because I’d much rather spend my time making All The Points (or at least all those I think of making) than trying to appease someone who is fundamentally unappeasable and acting in provably bad faith by limiting my comments to three paragraphs or less while still making one. And I note you have never bothered limiting yourself to such a length limit.)

Firstly: Under normal circumstances I’d be inclined to take “to my knowledge at least” as an honest admission of limited awareness and attention, a problem that affects all of us. But when it comes from you on issues like this, it appears very distinctly Clintonian, “I cannot recall” and all that.
Secondly: One reason why ICE’s increased deployments and activities to Portland are less evident now than in say MN are because they have been overwhelmingly focused on trying to crack down on attacks on their facility in the city, and arrests there, and because a few surges happened years ago.
Note that Bauxite does fuck all to describe or clarify what “ordinary law enforcement activities” are.
Note moreover that surging ICE and other Federal Law Enforcement assets to a place where you have reasonable expectation of immigration related crimes (like oh I dunno immigrants – whether legal, “legal”, or outright illegal – committing massive amounts of fraud, financing terrorism, and electing the daughter of a genocidaire who lied on her documents to the House of Representatives) IS A PART of “ordinary law enforcement activities.”
Bauxite wants to play Humpty Dumpty and demands he gets to define what words mean, and what is and isn’t “ordinary law enforcement activities.”
And moreover claim that Trump seeking to APPLY THE BLACK LETTER LAW to the likes of Ilhan Omar amounts to “trolling 100%”. Because it’s not like there’s anything of urgency regarding billions of dollars in fraud and an unrepentant genocide apologist who “probably” obtained citizenship through illegal fraud and “probably” married her brother to help similar! And I say again: you wonder why people take you less seriously.
Not really. It probably looks like that if you get most of your sources from the MSM, as I’ve established you are wont to do from your massive blind spots and willingness to signal boost their propaganda. And he does it far more than I often like, and he does have his petty and childish streaks (as the “Presidential Walk of Fame” shows).
But he has been used to playing defense, as even a cursory look at the past years shows.
And more importantly, Minnesota and Portland are examples where attack attack attack IS THE CORRECT AND JUSTIFIED APPROACH. We can split hairs about whether or not the attacks are made in the correct or most optimal fashion, but the fact remains that we have ironclad evidence of grotesque crimes being abetted and covered up by the left wing swamp there, where the only remedy is deployment of Federal forces like ICE and others.
This is also why to those of us that lived through things like the W Years (marked by things like Karl Rove’s suicidal advocacy for not bothering to refute claims like how we hadn’t found Iraqi WMD or the Rather/Mapes “fax” fraud about Bush being a draft dodger), we are much more inclined to put up with Trump’s foibles when he does this. “I cannot spare this man, he fights.”
And here, Minnesota has a situation where however “reckless” an ICE Surge is, NOT surging ICE and other forces there would be more reckless.
“Almost wholly unrelated.”
Once again, Bauxite tries to bury the lede. But also probably knows on some level that the first reaction some of us would have to him trying to claim the ICE deployment was “wholly unrelated” would be to dig to find at least one provable case of an illegal immigrant involved in the scandals and slap him over the face. Hence the equivocation. Hence the hedge.
The problem is that by doing so, he destroys the foundation of his argument in the first place and fully justifies the decision to surge ICE. He just doesn’t want to admit it because Orange Man Bad.
In any case, the reasons why ICE is related to the Minnesota Fraud Scandals and would need to be employed even if it could be proven far more than it actually has been that the frauds were perpetrated by natural born citizens or actually-legal-not-illegals-hiding-through-fraud-like-Omar immigrants are something I dealt with in my previous comment.
Ah yes, god forbid Trump believe that the federal law enforcement agency specifically dedicated to Immigration Crimes and Enforcing Penalties for them be involved in investigations of a massive crime network involving conspiracies of both Legal and Illegal immigrants in Minnesota, protected by the left wing DFL machine there, which would require a lot of investigation into peoples’ immigration status and probably denaturalization and deportation.
It truly taxes the mind.
I am half inclined to ask Bauxite under what circumstances he would find an ICE surge to Minnesota justified even if done by the Great Orange Whale, but I have no confidence he’d be able to give a competent or honest answer. Certainly not one consistent with what they’ve written before. And besides, he’s already stated he does not read my posts anyway, he just is able to determine whether they include “namecalling” by dint of psychic energy from Hyperborea or something.
Which is really all that matters.
Just that it should not have been “surged” to deal with the cracking of a wide array of immigrant related crimes, and the need to investigate them to decide who is guilty, who needs deportation, who needs imprisonment, and who needs denaturalization in addition to the aforementioned.
How refusing to address such crimes would not be tantamount to “abandoning” Minnesota like has defacto been allowed to happen multiple times in living memory is beyond me, but then I am not Bauxite.
Just not in Minnesota in regards to enforcement of penalties for crimes like those widespread here. Because it’s not like ICE isn’t involved in legitimately enforcing the law against those that immigrated legally or anything. Especially since one of its stated purviews is combating transnational crime, which even crimes committed 100% by crooks that actually immigrated here legally would involve.
Ok. Where? Why?
Like I mentioned before, this is one of the greatest fraud scandals in American history and directly ties in to terrorism and crime on a massive scale. It centers around the corrupt radical leftist DFL administration that protected it, and Somalis of various flavors and legal standing that helped enable it. That is a suite of problems ICE would *have to be involved in solving* given the large number of people who obtained citizenship fraudulently, who are otherwise in the country illegally, or who aren’t but have committed crimes justifying denaturalization.
Even when you choose not to focus on or acknowledge these facts, the very best you can push is that the fraud cases are “ALMOST wholly” unrelated to illegal immigration.
Some of us know better, but that’s still a damning and self-defeating admission.
And maybe if you want to deal with a smoldering fire that is ruining very real peoples’ lives unjustly and entrenching radical, terrorist supporting leftist groups, you need to “attack attack attack.”
To quote a late but great researcher and journalist of much calmer temperament and methodical approach than Cheeto Don:
Sometimes you need to run towards the fire with a flamethrower, a water cannon, or both.
It’s not hard to admit that. It’s just that I don’t see it is a correct conclusion in this case for the reasons I’ve mentioned.
A short list of illegal alien criminals arrested in Minnesota recently, the headliner being a convicted murderer from Ecuador. There are several others, not one among this batch from Somalia. This is what Walz, Frey, Ellison, and Bauxite think ICE should not be doing in Minnesota — Bauxite would qualify this as “not at this time, for fear of riots.”

Holy Heck the Body Cam footage dropped and it is worse than I thought. She waited until the officer got to the front of the car and literally smiled as she gunned it.

This needs to be signal boosted ASAP.
Yup, with her wife outside the car shouting, “Drive, drive, drive!”
Will Renee Good’s “wife” be arrested for felony murder?
