Hunting Trump
They won’t give up until they kill him, or die trying.
This is very disturbing:
The US Secret Service is investigating what could be a sniper’s nest or a hunting stand near an area where President Trump’s Air Force One has recently been kept at Palm Beach International Airport, according to sources.
The suspicious stand, found Thursday, is in a tree and within the line of sight of the section of the airport where Trump exits the presidential jet, and was described to The Post by law enforcement sources as an odd collection of pipes. …
Authorities do not know yet whether it is a hunting stand or merely junk in a tree — or has a more nefarious purpose, sources said.
The area could be used by hunters who go after invasive green iguanas, the sources added.
Let’s hope the latter.
But it doesn’t stop so many people from openly wishing him dead.
NOTE: When I was at the article I linked in the above post, I saw a link to an article about a Trump-menacing interview with Colombia’s president. Not noticing the spelling of the word “Colombia,” I assumed it referred to the president of the NY college. That seemed highly plausible to me. Of course, that’s spelled “Columbia.” This threat came from the president of the South American country:
“The easiest way [to change Trump] may be through Trump himself,” Petro [president of Colombia] added. “If not — get rid of Trump,” he continued, snapping his fingers dramatically.
Petro later denied he’d been threatening Trump; he was just saying the American people should get rid of him. He didn’t say how, of course; there’s no election in the future for Trump. The American people can’t impeach and convict him; that’s for Congress to do and it’s not going to be happening (the conviction part, that is; the impeachment part will definitely happen if the Democrats get control of the House. They will be going for the Trump-impeachment hat trick, but without an enormous majority in the Senate it won’t matter any more than the previous ones did, and probably even less.)
The violent rhetoric and actual wishes for Trump’s death coming out of the No Kings is very disturbing. I suspect, from what I read from the leftists I follow, that most would be quite happy with Trump being killed. And they also would be OK with going after Republicans in general. Even my BiL reposted such a sentiment today. Which means I guess, he’s happy to eliminate half of his family.
The attacks on Trump and the rest of us are going to escalate. Antifa says they want a hot civil war; they may get it.

Being a glass half-full kinda guy, I’m touched by the delicacy of Democrats and the Deep State that they didn’t just hire pros to get the job done, i.e. kill Trump. I guess they were concerned about plausible deniability.
Instead they relied on lone nuts to rise up in the atmosphere of hate they created and the permission to commit violence they offered directly and indirectly.
Don’t get me wrong. Lone nuts can work (Charlie Kirk) or almost work (twice, Trump) but sometimes, when you’ve got to be sure, it’s better to rely on professionals.

Thank goodness they found this tree stand and it is there at that location for the obvious reason, to shoot something about 200 yards away and not for shooting lizards or snakes. I have shoot a fair number of deer from both stands and with my feet on the ground and for distance shooting a stand with a decent rifle and scope makes for an easy shot at 200 yards. My best shot, a one shot kill was at a deer at 220 yards and it was not hard to make. The reason for this tree stand at 200 yards from the location of the president’s plan is not a coincidence and I am hoping there is enough evidence to determine who put the stand up there.
Went to a county airport last night. Seems one could do the two -hundred or even one-hundred yard shot from a lot of places, including the parking lot. Problem would be whether you can get that close on the side of the aircraft from which POTUS deplanes. Once he’s on the ground, you never know how long to the vehicle, surrounded by others, behind the landing gear, etc. So it’s in the door or on the steps. And on the right side.
So, like to know if the stand in question commanded the good shot lines.
I wonder why the Secret Service chose to reveal the stand instead of keeping it under surveillance to see who showed up.
Maybe they did, but no one showed.
They don’t seem to realize that killing the President will not work for them. They may have a few days of rejoicing, but the blowback is going to be mighty ugly for them, especially after the Kirk killing. Their own politicians will be at extreme risk everywhere under the new rules they insisted on playing by. It seems likely the blowback would not stop there and that Hollywood types, rock stars, and other assorted Left Wing bigmouths who have an oversized soapbox for dumping their opinions on the rest of us will be targeted too.
JD Vance will assume office if such an event occurs and he will immediately resume doing most if not all of what Trump had been doing. Vance is much less of a lightning rod than Trump is both here and abroad, which should give the new Presidency some stability. The Left will also lose the “Hitler” card they have been overplaying for the last 10 years, and trying to use it again on a new president after you killed the last one might be grounds for immediate arrest in the “New Rules” climate of a post Trump assassination.
I am 79 and lived through the assassinations of the 60’s. I have strong feeling about Dems such a BO, Hillary, Biden, and senate idjits, but have NEVER wanted them murdered.
Those wishing for Trump to die this way really do not understand what would happen.
The Secret Service take their job very seriously. I once flew the King of Sweden on a charter flight for two days. A large Secret Service detail was on board and at every stop. Precautions were taken to prevent a sniper or bomber at each stop. I was impressed but found it hard to believe there might be an assassin waiting for the King. He is, after all, only a figurehead. On the other hand, there are crazies out there who might wish to make a name for themselves. There may have been actual threats that the SS knew off.
Even we were treated as possible threats, having to be searched after each stop.
I don’t envy the Secret Service in trying to protect Trump. The threat level must be off the charts. You’re not paranoid when people are openly threatening you. Hopefully, they are up to the task. I want to see President Trump finish his term and live to be an elder statesman.

IIRC, you said you retired in 1993. Today’s Secret Service employs the people who protected Hunter Biden and has been subject to the same enervating DEI hiring and promotion regime for some time. You’ll recall the revelations about grossly unprofessional behavior by (male) Secret Service agents in Colombia in 2012. It did indicate a problem in the institutional culture of the force when you have a two-digit population of Secret Service agents and all but one were identified as cavorting with Colombian hookers. The incident was used as an excuse for expanding the number of broads in the Secret Service rather than screening out the (male) arrested development types. The crook director acting as Biden family minion is named Kimberley Cheadle.

The S.S. are political – 100%. If Biden sent 100 agents that day for Dr. Jill in Pittsburgh and 20 to Butler, PA a few miles away, there was a reason for that.

No doubt the SS has some DEI hires and political advocates these days. My guess is that most of the agents are committed to that mission. The leadership may be where the rot is.

Couple of issues with regard to Butler; A number of things routinely done were not done. Per leadership not ordering it. At best. Nobody said he was ordered to not do something usually done.
Comms were not done properly although all it would take would be doing it as usual. Locals and SS couldn’t talk to each other.
Crooks’ ideal sniper location was not covered.
After which, the FBI powerwashed it and Crooks and his parents disappeared from human ken.
Assets were elsewhere taking care of the First Lady’s appearance someplace.
Higher had told medium not to ask for more resources.
List goes on. I watched the hearings.

Don’t know about invasive green raptors or whatever it is they are fighting in Florida, but why do you need a tree stand?
Deer are browsers and like being among trees. But they stand up three or four feet from the ground, thus being clear of the underbrush.
How do you see a lizard a foot high scooting among the ferns from a tree stand?
Say again, it must be a very small, or an oddly-shaped airport where you can be in the trees and still withing two hundred yards of the area where an individual deplanes.
