Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, a British citizen of Syrian descent, was shot dead by armed officers minutes after he targeted Heaton Park Synagogue on Thursday morning.
It is understood he entered the United Kingdom as a young child, before being granted British citizenship in 2006.
Two men aged in their 30s and a woman in her 60s have been arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack, police added.
And is this unintentionally funny, in a bleak sort of way?:
Police said officers were ‘working to understand the motivation behind the attack’.
“We may never understand the motives of this young man, Jihad, who was assisted by three other people who have been arrested on suspicion of aiding a terrorist attack against a synagogue.”

Me too, considering that Muslims were already stressed getting ready for the upcoming backlash against next week’s terrorist attack, they didn’t need this on top of that.
They withheld that name as long as they could while “speculating” the killer was a “right-wing extremist”.

Sky News has been reporting that the attack happened near a mosque, with no mention of the attacker’s ethnicity or that he targeted Jews.

The current situation in the UK was totally avoidable, had the leaders in the UK defended their country, and it’s heritage, religion, customs, and the rights of the native population.
But, they didn’t.
Realistically speaking, the so called “leaders” in the UK have supinely let invaders–especially hostile, inassimilable Muslims–just flood into their country, and now it looks like it’s just too late.
In practical terms the Muslims have infiltrated, subverted, intimidated, bought off, and are bulldozing the leadership in the UK, are taking control and, absent some very drastic actions, the UK is going to morph into a Muslim state.
If I were a Jew in the UK, these days, I would be thinking very seriously about leaving those benighted shores–old Blighty–about getting out, and immigrating to the U.S.

I see all sorts of Youtube videos from realtors in the UK touting this or that historic house, mansion, or other fancy property for sale.
Yes, you can, I’d imagine, attain some sense of security behind the fences of a fancy property but, sooner or later, you will have to leave the relative safety of your property to get something you need, which is located beyond your walls.
Moreover, unless your fence encloses your entire property, is maybe twelve feet high and topped with razor wire–or maybe even carries an electric charge, it is probably like most fences, primarily symbolic, and easily defeated.
Given the current–and worsening–situation in the UK, why would anyone in their right mind want to move to the UK, or France, for that matter, because, sooner or later, the Jihad is going to reach out, and touch you.
I wrote here a few months ago, predicting a wave of native immigrants from the UK, and I wonder if it might actually be starting to happen.
P.S. Why, as an American, am I so focused on what is happening in the UK?
Well, centuries ago, a lot of my ancestors left the UK and immigrated to the U.S., so I view the UK as one of my ancestral homelands.
Then, of course, there is the fact that our dominant traditional culture, religion, laws, and set of values came largely from old England (and Greece and Rome before them), and I hate to see all of that needlessly and foolishly destroyed–moreover, not a murder, but a suicide.

Because the algorithms that serve up stories to us are not representing the full picture. Wales and Scotland are over 90% white and only 2% Muslim. Northern Ireland is over 95% white and around 1% or so Muslim.
Cumbria, in the northwest of England, is 95% white and 0.2% Muslim. Cornwall is over 95% white and 0.2% Muslim.
There’s large areas of the UK and France that are never touched by this stuff, just like there are large areas of the US with little or no gun crime and you never see Antifa.

There’s a commenter shows up here claiming to be British, David Clayton or something like that, and he’s always telling us what America is like and we don’t recognize it, because he is getting a false impression based on the news that is served up to him. I am saying that is happening to you too.
The proportion of England that is Muslim is close to the proportion of black males in the US (7% vs 6%). Similarly, they are concentrated in large cities: London is about 15% Muslim vs 7% for England over all. (One of out 7 people in England live in London, there is no city in the US that has 1/7 of the population, though some states like New York concentrate like that.)
Both groups cause disproportionate trouble, but neither group is “taking over”. In both countries there are places where you never run into either.
The people who are setting up the “two-tier” system are the same kind of people who in the US set up DEI and encouraged illegal immigration: the elite whites. Those are the people who have “taken over”, and of course they did long ago. The day they decide Islam is a liability, it will be dealt with, but for now it’s useful for intimidating the middle and lower class whites.
