I find political kneeling bizarre. I think it started with NFL players kneeling for the National Anthem. In football kneeling stops the play. So they were saying they weren’t going to participate in the ceremony?
But to a Christian kneeling brings to mind praying, but I don’t think that was the players’ intent.
But kneeling for St. George Floyd?? I read it as a sign of submission to the Wokists. Some left-wing relatives texted me a picture of themselves medically masked and kneeling next to an ambulance during the Summer of Floyd. I considered replying with a poop emoji, but refrained, not wanting to offend other relatives who were on the text recipient list, and just ignored the text.

Regarding the possible shutdown, to clarify, my time off from work would be unpaid (this simmer’s house remodeling has used up all my paid (i.e., vacation) time off from work. It worked out well, we completed the drilling project in late June so I could take time off and not impact the project.

I am not sure which genes are necessary or missing on a Y chromosome vs an X chromosome, but if there are necessary genes on the X chromosome, then you need at least one X chromosome complementing a Y chromosome for a “normal” zygote. Two Y chromosomes would be missing critical “somethings”.
I recently explored the distinction between conception and fertilization (although this may not be universally accepted). It appears conception occurs when the sperm cell penetrates the oocyte (ovum?). As part of that process/step it losses its tail and material surrounding the male nucleus. It then becomes a male nuclide (with a protective containing membrane around the DNA?), and must move through the ovum ectoplasm to join with the female nuclide. This process appears to take 15 to 24 hours, and so fertilization only occurs when the 23 chromosomes of each nuclide join to create a full complement of 46 chromosomes. This time span was much longer than I had expected, as I had presumed it could happen within seconds to minutes*. The sources I found did not really explain this process in detail, but I gather it involves creating or sending out microtubules** from or between the two nuclides to guide or help then move towards each other.
*If this misunderstanding is common (and it seems to be), that would help explain the frequent use of the words “conception” and “fertilization” as equivalent steps or meanings.
**It occurred to me that someone might want to and be able to explore making a last ditch contraception method via chemistry or whatever that could distort or hinder that microtubule process, or whatever. Not likely but conceptually possible?

We can see this in the current trend of gay men paying a surrogate to carry an embryo from a different female egg donor – a deliberate tactic to cloud the issue of who is actually a child’s ‘mother’.
The unregulated nature of US IVF procedure would benefit from a legal requirement to release the names and contact info, including a DNA profile – of all contributors to a ‘created’ individual on request of that individual.
This is a practice women will have to end. A couple of high profile exposures should do it.
