JD was the shot caller for an Irish Pride crew in an Oregon prison. Not really big time, but still … that’s a harsh environment in which to prove oneself.
It’s weird to see a criminal guy, all tatted-up, arguing for the first amendment and a live-let-live philosophy,
But that’s where we’ve come. I think Democrats have greatly underestimated how insane they seem to all levels of society except their own.

I’m not even a conservative. But I have their backs because you know what? They’re not the ones out here killing people for disagreeing. They’re not the ones out here killing people for speaking on what they believe, whether people agree with them or not.
They’re just like, “Okay, cool.” Like, “Sure, there’s 70 genders. Okay, I’m not pressed.”
You know why those people aren’t pressed? Because they actually live in reality. They don’t live in some spazzed out demented dulu land where everybody has to agree with them. Everybody has to support their weird narrative because they know that it’s not actual reality. When you live in reality, you don’t give a f*** what other people think about what you think.
I don’t care if you agree with me or not. We can agree to disagree and I can treat you with love and respect and I can respect your God-given right to life and love and the pursuit of happiness.

Even Democratic Party leadership seemed to realize how bad the optics were. Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries urged Democrats to support the resolution, admitting that he would vote yes but stopped short of demanding unity. In fact, in a caucus meeting the day before, Democrats were told to “vote their conscience.” A party aide even admitted the resolution was “very down the middle and straightforward.” Yet somehow, dozens of Democrats still couldn’t bring themselves to go on the record against political violence, at least not when the victim was a conservative.
Sadly, it’s not all that surprising.

No, it’s not. Democrats don’t understand it’s not 2021 anymore and the rest of America is watching them with grim resolve.
I suspect this is the clause in the resolution which made Democrats turn against it:
4) honors the life, leadership, and legacy of Charlie Kirk, whose steadfast dedication to the Constitution, civil discourse, and Biblical truth inspired a generation to cherish and defend the blessings of liberty
This would require them to admit that Charlie Kirk was a decent man. They have to continue pretending that he was a fascist and a N*zi.
