What a difference an FBI head makes
Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe criticized FBI Director Kash Patel Sunday during a CNN appearance, claiming Patel prematurely described an incident in Boulder, Colorado, as terrorism.
Patel posted on X that the FBI was investigating a “targeted terror attack” in Boulder after Mohamed Sabry Soliman allegedly used Molotov cocktails and a jury-rigged flamethrower when he attacked an event supporting hostages taken during the Oct. 7, 2023, attack by the radical Islamic terrorist group Hamas that killed over 1,200 people in Israel. McCabe said that local officials, who he claimed had “better information,” had not called it terrorism. …
“They [local authorities] don’t have a clear idea that they’re willing to communicate to the rest of the world yet of even exactly what happened, who was there, how they were attacked with fire, and what the purpose or the motive of that attack might have been,” McCabe told CNN host Jessica Dean.
Let’s see; let’s see. The perp was an:
… Egyptian illegal immigrant who used a flamethrower and molotov cocktails to set a group of Jewish people on fire Sunday at a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado.
Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, told authorities he planned the attack for a year and admitted to targeting the “Zionist group” in Boulder after doing research, according to court documents obtained by Fox News.
Soliman admitted to police that he wanted to kill Zionists and said he would repeat the attack if he could. He repeatedly expressed his hatred for the Zionist group and said he needed to prevent them from taking “our land,” referring to Palestine, the court documents show.
He was witnessed yelling “Free Palestine” as he hurled the incendiary devices at the group at the demonstration. What part of this does McCabe, and the Boulder police, not understand? The part that doesn’t want to offend a group favored by the left.
He was witnessed yelling “Free Palestine” as he hurled the incendiary devices at the group at the demonstration.
How much more clear could it be??? Just unbelievable. And yet there are probably millions who will believe some excerpted quote from McCabe, in an otherwise information vacuum, because they want to believe it.

Not reading the room.
Holes. Rule. Stop digging.
Keep it up, McCabe!
Neo, now that you’ve put up a post about Boulder, I will repost my comment from the open thread.

I know three women, rather well, who live in Boulder.
One is openly Jewish, another is a covert Jew (she has one Jewish grandfather and never talks about his Jewishness), and the third is a Jewish convert of mixed Lebanese and Northern European descent who converted to please her second husband.
When I heard about the attack yesterday, I was sure all three women were safe.
That’s because not one of them would ever be caught anywhere near any event that could possibly be construed as pro-Israel, not even a walk in support of the hostages in Gaza.
Here’s how the Jewish convert described the attack in a social media post (sorry for the length, but I think this has to be read to be believed):
I’m trying to think about the attack here in Boulder today, one in which a man of Arab heritage threw Molotov cocktails at people during their weekly demonstration in support of those still held hostage by Hamas. They were carrying messages that called for release of hostages. They were also carrying both American and Israeli flags. They sang Hatikva, Israel’s national anthem.
Even as we await word of the victims, I have to ask why the organization, with chapters around the US, marches under a flag that, today, to most of the world, represents the massacre, if not genocide, of the Palestinian people. While their primary message is to bring the hostages home, the national anthem and the flag send a message in support Netanyahu’s government. . . . I would not carry an American flag during the bombing of Cambodia. I would not carry it during the bombing of Iraq. At the moment Palestinians are those under threat of annihilation.
Give some thought for the maimed, starving, and murdered, and for those who care about them. . . .
Reports say the assailant today shouted, “Free Palestine!”
Here’s the kicker:
I watched videos of today’s tragedy. He can also be heard shouting, “We are cousins!”
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/06/01/us/boulder-colorado-attack
For the record, I too have watched and listened to video of the “tragedy.” I find no evidence that the attacker shouted, “We are cousins.” My acquaintance may have mistakenly transcribed the attacker’s shouts of “End Zionists!” Also for the record, one constant of these walks, which happen every weekend, is that the walkers carry the national flags of the hostages’ countries of origin.
There is a saying that goes something like this [it’s late this may not be exact]: No one is so blind as he who will not see. I think McCabe, the Bolder police, and, yes, MollyG’s friend are excellent personifications of this. And certainly not the only such examples.
AesopSpouse suggested that the discrepancy between the local and the FBI statements is one of political jockeying to see which will retain control of the investigation.
Acts of terrorism by foreigners are the province of the FBI.
If it’s not “terrorism” then the state keeps control.
Three guesses why the Colorado locals want to be in charge of any charges.
Note: I haven’t researched the laws to see if he is correct, but he is a lawyer by trade and does look these things up, so I’ll go with that until shown otherwise.
People’s Republic of Boulder has spoken.

McCabe was already caught lying to Congress under oath. This is the “expert” that CNN brings…
Forget it, Jake, it’s Boulder
Forget it Jake it’s McCabe-town.

Wouldn’t surprise me and that does not impress.

IMO, if we sorted functions sensibly, multi-state rackets (politically-motivated or no) would be the province of federal police and discrete offenses the province of local police. State police would organize task forces, provide technical assistance on request, and requisition the expertise of federal police as needed. Also, local police would cover counties or consortia of counties; municipal police would be found only in discrete small towns and be strictly supplementary.

By all appearance this is terrorism, but we haven’s seen anything to indicate he’s part of an organization larger than himself. This sort of thing should be covered by federal civil rights charges, but processing such a case should take a back seat to state charges for assault and attempted murder. His imprisonment on federal charges subsequent to his imprisonment on state charges should be a federal responsibility and seeing to it that he’s deported after his imprisonment is complete should be as well. That’ll be a way’s in the future if justice is done.

That Andrew McCabe is walking the streets and had his retirement benefits restored is another scandal.
McCabe has a point.
Shouldn’t jump to conclusions, especially since pro-ZIO low-lifes are involved.
Besides, one MUST prevent, at all costs, the Feds being able to prosecute this poor, misunderstood fellow.
(Besides, how else are you going to justify—and prioritize—globalizing the intifada?)
Ah mccabe felled upwards with every terror attack all the way to the directors chair (he put one sentence about pulse in his memoir) which pretends a jack webb earnestness he doesnt earn
Its in keeping with the bare bones attacks that awlaki and that twit who pretended to ape a british accent has recommended

Politicians favor the Muslim community because they may be convinced to vote a certain way and do so as a unity. The left favors them because they have the same goals.
The Boulder types believe that only straight white men can be villains. To accuse others, irrespective of evidence, is racist. Hence George Zimmerman, half hispanic and blacker than Homer Plessey, was a “white hispanic”. If the locals get this case, it will be reduced and reduced to the minimum possible.
Long term perspective. I graduated from CU in 1974. Even back then the seeds of change were planted and taking root for Boulder and the university. I remember being a bit shocked (I was a naive 18 year old) to find out my class was over 40% out of state students. I believe that was the start of the turning point. All the OOS students I knew were from the east and brought with them all the eastern more liberal/left views compared to the very conservative Colorado at the time. They were the student leaders that set up the local SDS chapter and lead the antiwar protests down Pearl St, etc. CU continued its importation of OOS students. Many graduated, settled in Boulder and then began the transformation of the city into the People’s Republic. It was the early manifestation of the eventual Californication of the state. I mourn what’s happened to my native state.

For many years, the district attorney was a man named Alex Hunter who was said to be antagonistic to punishment. His successor was a protégé. It was a disposition helpful to the wealthy caucasoids Mr. and Mrs. John Ramsey because he and his successor insisted the Boulder police department assemble some actual evidence against a member of their household before he would secure an indictment and take a case to trial.
As one who is not thrilled with Trump, McCabe helps me understand why he won and definitely why there was a need for someone like him.
This illegal alien perp lit participants in a Jewish public demonstration on fire with a self-made flame thrower and Molotov cocktails while shouting “Free Palestine,” for pity’s sake. And McCabe chastises the FBI for calling it a terror investigation? When there are no such qualms anytime a violent episode can be plausibly (or not so plausibly) blamed on the right? I’m sure it was all just “workplace violence.”
Anyway, these people richly, richly deserve Trump.
there are only a few people that really understand the enemy like Col Stephen Coughlin, or the late Phil Haney at Homeland, or Sebastian Gorka, a glorified clerk like Mccabe is so far from cognition it’s not even funny, but then there are the likes of Frank Figluizzi, and a host of other slithy toves that inhabit MSNBC

some interesting details about the state within the state,
@Bauxite:Anyway, these people richly, richly deserve Trump.
I really feel like the majority of Americans deserve Trump, in a sort of Old Testament divine wrath sense, for all our national sins. The anti-Trump get punished by the things Trump does to them, and the pro-Trump get punished by the things Trump does for them.
I don’t disapprove, we’ve been long overdue to relearn some things. As Poor Richard said,
And if CNN had not given the doltish/traitorous (take your pick) McCabe a pulpit from which to preach his bile, who would have known? It’s CNN and MSNBC who are primarily responsible for this, and frankly, for all the anti-Jew, Anti-American activity that has been allowed to fester under the guise of “muh freedom of the press.” God forgive me, I hate them.
Keep in mind that McCade, as FBI DD, helped plan and orchestrate, then approved, the Crossfire Hurricane investigation of Trump and his inner circle, as well as the 4 FISA warrants on Carter Page (presumably to electronically surveillance Trump and his inner circle, while he was President). the whole thing appears to have been organized by McCabe, his attorney, Lisa Page, and her boyfriend, Peter Strzok, operation out of his conference room. And a couple days ago, it was disclosed, by his successor, Kashmiri Patel, that the FBI people McCabe had doing those investigations were authorized to hide their investigation in the FBI’s Sentinel case management system.
So, we do know who McCabe thought were terrorists his democratically elected boss, President Trump(45) and his MAGA supporters.

Whether in error by intention or by inadvertence to a memory bug (see recent India-Pak conflict) — may it be said that FBI Director Kash Patel’s first name is Kashyap. And granted, it’s not a commonly heard name hereabouts.
