Do you feel the winds of change? — 17 Comments

  1. Sort of a resentful retreat on the part of the left. Covering their retreat with yet more insulting fabrications but….obviously with no effect.

  2. Star Wars IV: A New Hope, just ending.

Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back, begins soon.

Will Trump survive to lead Star Wars VI: The Return of the Jedi?

As to your question, it is the common belief in freedom of speech that is uniting people across the political spectrum (except maybe the left), lead by Donald Trump, which is revolutionary in itself.

I would call it a miracle.

  3. A great many people would probably date the more recent change from July 13, 2024, when he survived an assassination attempt that came within an inch – literally – of killing him.

The word “literally” is greatly overused these days. However, your use here of “literally” is entirely appropriate.

  4. The DC uniparty is going to do their best to sabotage some of Trump’s cabinet selections, e.g. Democrats will vote 100% against RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard for their disloyalty to the party, and enough Republicans will vote “no” just for spite. Gaetz will be blocked, but there is talk that if that happens DeSantis will appoint him to fill out the remainder of Rubio’s term.

  5. Winds of Déjà vu bringing signs of Republican disorder?

Made a comment this mourning about Sarah Palin – Et tu, Sarah – hinting at she had expected a Cabinet job. Missed that sign, then the ‘Flow’ directed me to another this afternoon:

Elon Musk blasts ‘mole’ in astonishing dinner blow-up at Mar-a-Lago as Trump’s golden boy is targeted by green-eyed aides

For a while, Donald Trump’s transition kept up a record-setting pace with top Cabinet picks being named against a backdrop of calm consensus.

But the knives are now out, with advisers leaking against each other to the press amid the scramble to parachute allies into plum jobs.

    Bad Signs early…?

  6. Possibility of real and lasting change? Yes, but I’ve felt that before. After Reagan’s success, the Wall comes down, and a popular Democrat is in the White House saying, “The era of big government is over,” And then, in what seemed to me pretty short order, it was all just as bad as ever.

  7. Re: Do you feel the winds of change?

Yeah, well, I toldja so, even before Trump was elected.

    It will keep changing too.

  8. Here is the title of the link:

The War in Ukraine After the US Election – Biden’s final moves, President Trump & Ukraine – Perun

from YouTube or as viewed on DuckDuckGo

  9. How’s this for a change in the wind?

Both the NYT & CNN are reporting that Biden’s handlers have directed him to OK the firing of long-range American missiles into Russia from Ukraine. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/17/us/politics/biden-ukraine-russia-atacms-missiles.html

Since highly trained personnel are required, the Russians will rightly conclude that the US is directly involved in those attacks. The danger from attacking the nation with the largest nuclear arsenal is obvious. Trump has rightly declared this to be a crazy escalation.

On the bright side, a nuclear war would prevent Trump from taking office. (sarc/off)

Apparently, the current powers that be have embraced Stalin’s POV, “The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions… a statistic.” Once again demonstrating that the inmates are still in control of the asylum and that there is no limit to the left’s depravity.

  10. There can be no change without true contrition, and I haven’t seen any Democrat / Media contrition yet.

And as for Trump meeting with the Morning Joe creeps… hey, they may have lied ABOUT you, but they (and most of the Dems and media) lied TO me! I am not feeling magnanimous and gracious and all that! When have I ever seen a Democrat be gracious or truly apologetic. Answer: NEVER

Don, don’t go all gracious on me! It makes the hair on my neck stand on end! There’s time enough for graciousness AFTER WE WIN!

  11. It’s odd seeing Mike Plaiss’ & huxley’s comments back to back.

Well, Bill Clinton was a member of the Democrat Leadership Council. See this:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_From

I think Clinton got the federal budget under control better than most every other modern president, which isn’t saying much. But did he really mean it, when he said the era of big government is over? I doubt it.

I suspect that the combination of the Leviathan government and the deep state government is virtually impossible to fix and dramatically reduce. Maybe possibly it can be restrained a bit to postpone the eventualities. Lots more inflation is probably a sure bet over a longer term.
    _____

huxley did tell us. I feel that they “jumped the shark” in falseness and disingenuousness. Many of my friends still buy into the lies, but elections are a numbers game. There were a modest but significant number of voters who peeled off from the BS and nonsense and voted for Trump.
