Secret Service: We don’t need no steenking drones — 12 Comments

  1. That iconic photo needs to be in a vault somewhere if the Dims are elected.

  2. That scene is from the movie “The Treasure of Sierra Madre,” which starred Humphrey Bogart and Walter Huston.

Today, making a film like that would be impossible because of the way to portrays Mexicans.

  3. IF the reporting I’ve heard is correct, it sounds like the big lapse was that the rooftop that Crooks used had a cop on it originally, but he left because it was too hot. Well, and the fact that someone with a rangefinder wasn’t detained for the duration of the event. I’ve heard that there weren’t many rooftops around. Each should have had two cops or agents on it.

I must admit, that the whole chain of events seem like something from the ending of the original Manchurian Candidate, or Wag The Dog movies. Not that I believe any of that, because…

Can you imagine a cabal of several Secret Service agents assisting in such deceptions?? To help Trump! In modern District of Columbia! I don’t think so.

  4. So yet more proof of a once great institution, the United States Secret Service, that has obviously become overwhelmed by incompetency and malignant neglectfulness of their mission. And now the arrogant, unelected ruling class of bloody minded technocrats that holds the vast majority of American Citizens in complete contempt are determined to foist another weak minded puppet open us.

  5. Don’t know much about drones, but Personally, I would’ve been wary of having drones flying around that area.

Example: Iran has some pretty serious drones – SS had intel stating Iran wants to kill Trump – terrorists are said to be coming over our borders.

Some kind of military grade Drone Jammers seems to be what was missing at that Trump speech—well, besides a better SS detail…

  6. With all the open air speech’s Trump has given I hope he finally gets himself a ‘Popemobile’ type of bullet proof glass/?? setup – w/o the motorized part, but easily carried to speech sites and to setup.

  7. Drones arent perfect but if you are not even to cover the main points of contact on your own what exactly are you good for

As for christopher ray im holding my tongue on the proper response to him

    ________
I don’t know. The actual Federales are pretty badass.

Note that, like “Elementary, my dear Watson”, the standard version of the quotation is not quite what it says. For that matter, “Pride goeth before a fall” and “Gilding the lily” are also a bit off.

  9. I was of the opinion that the assassination attempt was the result of gross incompetence by the Secret Service (which actually has had quite a history of incompetence and bad behavior by its agents), but now I’m sort of where I am with the Epstein suicide. The government will have to prove to me that they weren’t involved somehow. It now seems likely that either through their deliberate actions or inaction that the Secret Service helped facilitate the attempt on Trump’s life. Christopher Wray’s disgraceful testimony before the House Judiciary Committee did nothing to convince me otherwise.

  10. Question for the legal minds:

Could Trump file a civil suit against the government for failing to properly carry out their duties?

I know that it has been held that law enforcement only has duty to the general welfare, not any one specific person.

However, I don’t imagine that would apply to a single specific presidential candidate / former president. The government was in fact charged with the protection of Donald Trump, and failed to do so.
