Sanity Squad: Sarkozy on the couch
The Squad takes on mon petit chou Sarkozy and what his election might mean for France, the US, and the world. Join Siggy, Dr. Sanity, Shrink, and me as we opine on matters small and great.
Oh, and it’s okay now to have some French cheese and drink some French wine as you listen. But just a little of the latter—you’ll want to keep your mind clear enough to appreciate the fabulous wit and wisdom of the Squad. Or something like that.
FYI, today’s Wall Street Journal has an interesting (and free) article on the gender dynamics in Royal’s defeat in the runoff. I blogged about it (with the WSJ link), trying to answer some of the questions I raised in your earlier comment thread, with a link to your post as well. Check it out:

Take care!
I have to ask – because I don’t know the rules at all – but is it at all considered unethical within the psychiatric profession to attempt to analyze or diagnose someone you have never met? Isn’t that sort of like Frist diagnosing Terri Schiavo via video clip?
Anon: general observations are OK and general terms can be used (“he seems narcissistic,” “she has delusions of grandeur”). A professional diagnosis is not: “he is suffering from narcissitic personality disorder.”
Ok, fair enough. So why are you comfortable working with “Dr Sanity,” who seems to have no problem diagnosing her (his?) political opponents with mental illness?
Hey Neo, you check out the No Pasan thing about Sego? Interesant.
