My question is whether American Jews will still vote Dem.

Why would you care how American Jews vote? And how do you define “Jews”? A huge number of American Jews are only ethnic Jews. They are not affiliated with the religion or with Israel. Almost all of them live in huge blue cities, and they mostly vote the way everyone else in those blue cities vote: Democrat. Black people vote in much greater percentages for Democrats; the Jews vote Democractic in the 60 or 70-something percent range. However, the number of Jews (except in NY or LA, blue enclaves even without the Jews) in the US is so small it basically does not affect outcomes. Other ethnic groups – in particular, black people and Hispanic people, make a huge difference in vote totals. Jews do not. There are some prominent leftist Jews who contribute a lot of money to leftist causes, but that’s really the only way in which the Jews matter in elections.
Another “in the meantime” musical interlude: The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain (yes, there is such a thing) playing the “Ode to Joy” from Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony– along with 1,000 other British ukulele players who had been invited to bring their instruments to a sold-out performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Okay, it’s not the thunderous Leonard Bernstein-style full orchestra and chorus version of Beethoven’s classic, but it obviously brought joy to all the participants– and we can all use some extra Freude in these troubled times:

My generation had books as well as school-based musical groups as alternatives to TV, but kids today are surrounded by electronic devices. Best wishes to you and your family!
