Perhaps there’s a mole writing headlines at The New York Times

The headline at the top right is what brought me up short. I knew the Times would never be so honest as to admit what’s the real purpose behind the Trump indictment. But I initially had trouble seeing that headline as saying anything other than that Trump has been indicted in order to prevent a possible Trump win in the 2024 election.
The headline is unintentionally but bleakly humorous. We have to take our yuks where we can these days.
Thoughts from online that, if not humorous, well… “I’m pretty sure that China is run by smarter people than Team Donkey.” … and … “The US moved their illegal labs overseas… so China did the same.”
Evidently NYT writers have become immune to irony. They’ve become so ensconsed in their roles as regime propagandists that they’re likely no longer able to percieve other possible viewpoints. Their function is to digest events, carefully remove any harmful information to the current regime and reframe the story and then carefully gurgitate it into the mouths of progressive readers.Actual critical thinking is vestigal to them now.
This morning on the Chicks on the Right video podcast they have a clip of Biden saying that there’s no way we are ever going to let Trump become POTUS again BAMN. They now have admitted they will use everything to keep him out. We are so far beyond Banana Republic now, we need a new name for what has happened to the USA.
And imagine that, but I just got an email from Foreign Policy magazine saying that President Trump’s indictements are routine, happen all the time, …. democrat party talking points.
Nothing to see, move along Foreign Policy drones.
I don’t remember the actual mistake that got me into the Foreign Policy magazine database of democrat drones.
On March 15, 1980, The Boston Globe ran an editorial that began:
“Certainly it is in the self-interest of all Americans to impose upon themselves the kind of economic self-discipline that President Carter urged repeatedly yesterday in his sober speech to the nation. As the President said, inflation, now running at record rates, is a cruel tax, one that falls most harshly upon those least able to bear the burden.”
The editorial was not particularly critical of Carter, but was given the headline “Mush from the Wimp“. The headline was corrected to read “All must share the burden” during the print run, but only after 161,000 copies had already gone to circulation.
Speculation was that someone in the printing plant had changed the headline. Actually, it was an in-house joke among the writers that was supposed to have been removed.
I wonder how many times today’s NYT article uses the phrase “without evidence,” which has become a mantra or verbal tic for the MSM. At this point, it’s just become a reminder that whether there’s convincing proof or not, the suspicions aren’t baseless.
Trump is probably quite confident that he can beat this, so he’ll turn down any plea deal that is offered, in spite of what his attorneys may recommend. But the
chances that Trump will get a fair trial in DC, with that judge are slim and none. Whether it’s the result of a conviction with a jury trial, or a plea deal that involves even minimal prison time the leftist establishment media will be wetting their pants with joy at the sight of Trump in an orange jumpsuit.
If that’s what does happen, my money says Trump will figure at that point that he’s got nothing to lose, so he’s going to start naming names and take as many of his adversaries as he can down with him. The press will try to cover it up, but we may be about to find our how sleazy people like the Clintons, the Bidens, Bill Gates, and all their assorted hangers on really are.

I think Trump is well aware that a DC judge and/or jury would convict a ham sandwich if it was named “Trump.”
Trump will obviously appeal but the DC Circuit was packed by Obama so he will have to go to the Supremes, which will stir up more fury at them. I have no idea how this will turn out but I doubt it will be something reasonable. I still suspect assassination will be the final step. I hope Trump has his own security as I don’t trust the post-Obama secret service.
Whatever happens, it’s a relief that I am old.
I would not be surprised in the slightest if the Democrats had Mr. Trump assassinated. Their hatred of him is white hot.
