Climate reparations
Biden and John Kerry, still hard at work in their dotage (and yes, I think Biden is sentient enough to be part of this):
In a pathetic bid to “show results” from the latest global climate-change confab, the Biden administration followed Western Europe’s hysterical lead by signing on to a lunatic “climate reparations” scheme.
It’s beyond outrageous. It won’t even bring any progress in reducing global carbon emissions, the supposed goal of the COP-27 meetings. If it works as promised, it’s just another wealth transfer from wealthy nations to the (largely corrupt) governing class of poor countries.
On and on it goes – the fake virtue-signaling by “elites” at the expense of ordinary citizens of the Western world.
John Kerry to transfer all his worldly possessions to the citizens of Burkina Faso.
On a per person attending basis, the COP meetings are among the top emitters of CO2 in the world. 100,000+ tons of CO2 per meeting.
Kerry and biden were always soviet tools like thr green party
If it takes large bribes “to the (largely corrupt) governing class of poor countries” to advance the Liberal Hegemony’s agenda then so be it. The end justifies the means.
As someone else has said, I wish I had a private jet so that I could care about the climate, too.
Aggie, now is the season to score a great sale price on some plastic aircraft models.
Just don’t bother to recycle the plastic after it has completed its useful life, as a recent article from Michael Shellenberger asserts current plastic recycling programs are futile exercises in attempted energy savings. [Recycling glass, metal, and paper is another, and better, story, I gather.]
Article I, Section 9: “No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law”
So, where exactly is the President actually getting this money? Pretty sure it wasn’t in any appropriations bill, and it won’t be as long as the GOP controls the House.
China and India should pay all the money. China is building a new coal-fired power plant every two weeks.
I recall reading not so long ago that most of the plastic garbage and whatnot polluting the Pacific Ocean comes from three rivers in China.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
You’re correct, but no one challenges the 800 pound guerilla, it’s a developing nation you know,
Dave L. (1:10 am) wonders: “So, where exactly is the President actually getting this money? Pretty sure it wasn’t in any appropriations bill, and it won’t be as long as the GOP controls the House.”
I wish I had the faith in the GOP’s ability to put its (figurative) money where its (collective) mouth is, that Dave L. does.
Well, before I went there I’d just point out that a lame duck Congress is still quite capable of passing spending bills.
If the House Republicans don’t kill this POS I’ll never vote for them again.
