The best wax figure you will ever see- one that walks and talks – is president joke bidet.
Geez, I wonder; could the “artist,” Jackson Pollock make one of these wax figures look like a real human by flinging soft wax at some sort of metal frame that resembles a human being?
Even if he couldn’t, rest assured that whatever results from his wax-flinging exercise, some really rich New York City denizen would pay big $$$ for it.
Ron the Second will crush Dementia Don in the primaries.
You read it here first.
Good for Gov. Abbott. If Arizona didn’t have such a fouled-up voting system, Gov. Lake would have joined him in the effort.
It’s going to be very interesting to see how the GOP House caucus selects a leader with the slimmist of majorities. It may only take two or three holdouts to create a deadlock.
As usual, super-cool video of making wax dummies. Something I’ve seen a bit before, but not as well. Thanks, Neo.
One reason I’m hanging out here is less is … Karoke. And practicing, even. So few of the young, or even mid-30s – 40s folk going know the many 60s & 70s songs I grew up; my wife mostly remembers the 80s.
So I’m also trying to learn some of the newer (post 2010) artists like 21 Pilots & Imagine Dragons. Here’s a good song that “grew” on me after hearing it a few times, and now I quite like it. We’ll see, er hear, how I do it this Friday (wife & I). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHKQof8WIlI
Good for Gov. Abbott — tho why didn’t he do this sooner, like before the election?
In the “blame” for red-purple puddle, Victory Girls list McDonnell (1) & McCarthy (3) as well as The Donald (2), and Dem media (4). I think it should be extended to include most “top” Republicans who have NOT been complaining more effectively against the mail-in ballot, including Abbott & DeSantis. (Tho I also haven’t been paying so close attention, so I might be missing where the Dem Media ignored it.)
Two (errant?) Russian launched missiles have hit in Poland near the Ukraine border killing two Poles.
Many Republicans have complained, but if they don’t have power they can’t change it.
And while I think all those people deserve some blame, I think the problems are much much deeper and more widespread, and are cultural and generational. I plan to write more about this in a coming post, especially the “generational” part. The GOP has its finger in a dike and the forces against it are multiplying.
sdferr: “Two (errant?) Russian launched missiles have hit in Poland near the Ukraine border killing two Poles. “
If current reports are true, then I don’t think the missiles were errant. Errant missiles would have landed in the middle of a field. These reportedly both hit grain dryers, which is consistent with Russia’s attacking of power plants, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and food processing facilities. It was most likely a warning to Poland against allowing Western weapons to cross their territory on the way to Ukraine.
Tom,
That’s fun you and your wife have gotten hooked on karaoke. Is it catching on in the Czech Republic, or has it been popular for awhile? I would not like to sing that song you linked, “Ride.” Too staccato and not enough melody. Like you, I am woefully uninformed regarding pop music of the past 2, or 3 decades. Unlike you, I am uninterested in filling that void. I’m still discovering older music that fascinates me.
OK, it may not have been a grain-drying facility but just some farmers drying their grain in a field, so it may have been a couple of errant missiles. Possibly the wreckage from a Ukrainian SA-300 and the Russian Kh-101 it shot down. Still going to be an article IV meeting of NATO tomorrow, though, but I doubt direct military action by NATO will result. Possibly some additional weapons for Ukraine.
Well, Donald J. Trump has done it. Filed to run for POTUS in 2024. The news media will love this. CNN may get their audience back. Now it’ll be Trump hate on a daily basis.
I think he has a huge mountain to climb in order to win in 2024.
If he’s the nominee, I’m in. If he’s not the nominee, I’m still in.
Tha cause is what matters to me. I just hope and pray that we can finally get back to common sense and pro-American policies.
I watched his announcement speech tonight. Rather low key for a Trump speech. But like a marathon, you don’t want to blow all your energy in the first half of the race. Let the race begin. And God bless America.
Well…I’m a big wait and see on POTUS Trump running again.
I just don’t know this time around.
He was great…maybe still could be…
I’m wrong about politics more often than I’m right, but my perception is that Trump running for President in 2024 will be a disaster for the GOP.
That clip Banned Lizard posted of Megyn Kelly echoes my views, except I’m unsure of DeSantis. DeSantis has been savvy thus far. Maybe he’ll fare better against the Trump buzzsaw than Cruz, Rubio and Rand Paul, but Trump has rabid supporters. Also, Trump is 76 years old and, to me, a step slower than he was when he campaigned 8 years ago.
I thought this post by Jeffrey Tucker was a sobering reminder of what happens when the Democrats are in power.
Whether the national Republican Party as presently constituted (aka GOP establishment) would do the same is a question to which I do not have an answer, but I don’t trust the current leadership at all.

They do look realistic. Especially Helen Mirren.
BREAKING: Gov Greg Abbott has declared an invasion at the Texas border:
I invoked the Invasion Clauses of the U.S. & Texas Constitutions to fully authorize Texas to take unprecedented measures to defend our state against an invasion.

Cornhead vs Megyn Kelly
I like the matchup.

Interesting times.
Now looks like Ukrainian S-300 version: https://mobile.twitter.com/UAWeapons/status/1592629251161075712?cxt=HHwWgMDR5bT3k5osAAAA
