Oh, that Hunter Biden, says CNN and the FBI
The right has known about this sort of thing since the Hunter Biden laptop story broke, not long before the election. I said “broke,” but perhaps I should have said “tried to break but only caused the slightest of ripples because the MSM and social media actively and forcibly suppressed and/or pooh-poohed and ‘debunked’ (their new favorite word) the story, in order to elect Joe Biden.”
But apparently now even CNN can report on it – and the alphabet agencies can resume their investigation of Hunter. My sense from reading the linked article is that the reason this is now being reported – aside from the fact that they think Trump is soon to be out of the way – is that the news was coming out in the not-too-distant future anyway, and CNN wanted to be careful to distance Joe Biden from it and exonerate him in advance.
For example, here’s the lede:

No, of course not.

From late July to November 2016, the joint effort between the FBI, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the National Security Agency (NSA) examined evidence of Russian meddling in the 2016 United States presidential election. The FBI’s team enjoyed a large degree of autonomy within the broader interagency probe.
The FBI was busy investigating Trump’s campaign associates, based on things they knew to be lies, falsifying evidence in order to obtain surveillance warrants from FISA, and leaking like a sieve to the media, all in the fall of 2016 in order to destroy Trump. No pre-election pause for Trump; au contraire.
But back to Hunter:
Investigators have been examining multiple financial issues, including whether Hunter Biden and his associates violated tax and money laundering laws in business dealings in foreign countries, principally China, according to two people briefed on the probe.
Some of those transactions involved people who the FBI believe sparked counterintelligence concerns, a common issue when dealing with Chinese business, according to another source.
The investigation began as early as 2018, predating the arrival of William Barr as US attorney general, two people briefed on the investigation said. The existence of the probe will present an immediate test of Biden’s promise to maintain the independence of the Justice Department.
Sinclair Broadcast Group reported in October that the FBI had opened a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden. CNN has learned new details about the scope of the probe, including that it is focused on China.

Will anyone apologize to Rudy Giuliani, mocked and reviled for the laptop story? No. The Big Brother MSM and social media giants did what they needed to do in order to help their guy. And this investigation, like so many others, may end in nothing much as well.
It is almost certain that this investigation will “end in nothing much as well”, thus proving, beyond any reasonable doubt, that, perhaps without any exception, all the institutions and all the systems in our moribund republic have been compromised, almost certainly beyond repair. The situation is no different with the MSM’s indifference to the scandal of the egregious Swalwell and the Chinese “Honeypot”, and with the endlessly-repeated lie in the MSM about Trump’s so-called “baseless claims”, when the evidence of this election’s having been stolen in plain sight is overwhelming and growing stronger by the day.
But CNN originally told us it was all Russian disinformation. Did CNN originally lie, or is the FBI biting, hook line and sinker again, on Russian disinformation?
When Bidet takes office this investigation of Bidet “le fils” will come to a screeching halt; it will just disappear.
The media, once again, will be complicit in burying this entire affair.

Hunter Biden can be convicted and sentenced to an eternity. The big man will pardon him. It will be kinda messy but in the end a nothing burger.
That’s why CNN feels comfortable reporting on Hunter.

There will be no apology. They will just ignore it (they think). I disagree that this investigation will end up in nothing. The Obama team is not going to let “this crisis go to waste”. They will use it to push him out. Already there are leaks and stories on how the Harris team is leaking. Will they have the decency to let him take the oath of office? Probably not.

I recommend googling up on Chinese infiltration of Australian and New Zealand institutions and co-option of their politicians. There has been much more recent investigation and coverage in these countries than in the USA.
One really needs to get a handle on what the CCP’s United Front Work Department does to begin to grasp just how deeply their tentacles go in the overseas Chinese Diaspora.

Finally, getting the focus on Hunter might help to save Eric Swalwell. But I doubt it will, at this point.
I think they may be planning to pull a ‘Comey’ ala Hillary Clinton, this time by Wray. Seriously charging Hunter Biden opens up too much of a possibility of dragging Joe Biden into it. Better to let Biden’s cognitive decline advance to the point where it’s impossible to continue the charade. Perhaps by June. In the meantime, Joe can be guided to do the ‘right’ things. As President, Harris would be a semi-black woman and therefore above criticism. RINO’s will tremble in fear of being accused of being a racist & sexist deploable.

Given all the crap we have witnessed over the last 4 years, I find it incomprehensible that anybody thinks that any of the Bidens will be subjected to any real negative consequences; esp. given that the deep state has just – apparently successfully – rigged a presidential election.

Yes, now they can “investigate” him in order to claim they did their due diligence to shut up the rubes. They know Biden can pardon his son if need be after he gets sworn in.
If the media didn’t suppress the Biden laptop story before the election, it wouldn’t have mattered. It would have just necessitated another truckful of ballots to be driven into states like Pennsylvania and an extra hour or so of “counting”. Trump might have ended up with a few more votes, but Biden would have still hit the record 80 million.
WSJ reports that AG Barr knew of the Biden laptop from at least last spring, and kept it from Team Trump — despite pressure to do something? Is Barr incompetent? Or did the DOJ do him in? Or…was Barr deliberately shielding the Biden’s? Keeping the dual “justice system” alive and too healthy?
