And now for Election Night — 64 Comments

  1. Reflections, refractive — thank you! I’m reading this while the old and true citizens perform addition and count. the pols coup.

I haven’t seen any news stories about the folks doing this task during virus crisis times. Anyone care to share a link?

  2. Seeing very interesting posts about Virginia at PJ Media. They think areas outside of NoVa may have flipped four House seats.

  3. PJM says Texas is now in the bag. It turned light blue for a while which put me in What? But that was just the big city returns coming in first.

  4. Tonight, Uncalled versus called states controversy? Like maybe in Virginia?

FoxNews Chris Stirewald says they make there calls based on interviews sampled from early voters, mailed in vote, and voters of the day.
    He’s confident.

Ok. But how does that get any better than 3% uncertainty? In races with 1 or 2% vote difference?

    I’m not buying it.
Everything is too early to know any of the battleground outcomes.

  5. Over at 538, the Pennsylvania nightmare … it begins:

In case you still harbored any hope of getting a projection in Pennsylvania tonight, 274,000 mail ballots in Philadelphia County won’t be counted until tomorrow at the earliest. These votes are likely to be overwhelmingly for Biden.,,

The count ain’t done until Trump ain’t won.

  6. Am checking over the preliminary NY results. (This is as of about 10 pm Eastern.)

Albany County is a Dem sweep, pretty much. Not exactly shocking, but I had hoped Liz Joy would make more of a dent.

Statewide, looks like we’re stuck with Nadler and AOC again, though they each lost some percentage points compared to 2018. Most of the other House districts are staying Dem, as usual; at least Stefanik looks comfortable at 61%, a slightly better score than in 2018. But… looks like Reps are picking up NY-11 in US House (Staten I./parts of Brooklyn). A couple of other House races not yet reporting in, but NY House delegation looks like the usual Dem preponderance, just slightly less Dem-heavy than 2 years ago.

  7. Re Penn and huxley — maybe. They say they have 350,000 votes to count in Philly. But the GOP predicts a 900,000 vote Trump victory in Penn. Dem cheaters will have to manufacture a half million Biden votes? How?

Good FoxNews commentary for the last half hour! Biden leads, then today’s votes come in and close the gap!

Plus, China betting sees a Trump win, breaking news tonight. And Nasdaq futures are up over 3% — a big leap!

    Trump will win.

(I’d dearly love to go to my Bucket List, only once in a lifetime, Presidential Inauguration on January 24th! But it won’t be put off until April. So, no.)

  8. Stuart Varney on FoxNews says Trump win favoured by 65% in International betting markets.

Caveat: real money betting, but thin market volume.

  9. Philip Sells: Re: Penn, I hope so. I’m following 538 for balance.

I also want to watch their commentators crack, if things go as we hope. 538 is stuck with their 10% call for Trump.

Nate Silver’s brand could be in trouble.

  10. Something a little bit interesting is happening in the NY statewide results for Pres… I’ve been watching Harris’ and POTUS’ percentages over the last hour, and have noticed some slippage. Harris was at ~66-67% almost an hour ago and has been slowly losing points with each update – down now to 59.08 – 38.99 with about 2/3 of precincts reporting. If a Dem candidate can’t clear 60% statewide here, she’s got problems….

    (points of reference: NY 2012 O 63.3-35.2 Romney; 2016 Hillary 59.0-36.5 DJT)

    Hooray for jon!

  11. Philipe Sells: Also Penn is where the Attorney General, Josh Shapiro tweeted ominously a couple days ago:

If all the votes are added up in PA, Trump is going to lose.

    Forecast or threat?

  12. The folks at 538 are keeping cool, but they’ve given up on blow-out fantasies. Plus, they are prepping for Electoral College arguments, should Trump win. Then, there’s this comment:
    _________________________________________________

Another consequence of Democrats not picking up a bunch of Senate seats would be that it would become very unlikely they’d have the votes to do anything about the courts. So that 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court would be a lot more durable.
    _________________________________________________

Which is an only slightly veiled reference to court packing.

  13. US House districts in NY are looking a little better for the Reps than they were a couple of hours ago: looks like 8 of the 27 seats are going/staying Rep now and anywhere from 2 to 4 others are looking pretty close or could become close.

Now while we all know that NY is a safe Dem state in general, my point is that if Dems were solidly going to hold their own, they wouldn’t be posting numbers like what I’m seeing. Latest Pres results with about 5/6 of the state reporting in: Harris 54.09 – 43.77 Trump. By NY standards, that is skin-of-the-teeth territory.

Oh, and Tonko 55-42 Joy right now; so Liz will have done better than I thought she would, if trends hold. Makes me feel better. If Tonko fails to gain an absolute majority, I will feel a certain glee.

  14. I would not call it 6-3 majority on the Supreme Court.
Brit Hume was schooling Wallace about how election rules can be changed in states; i.e., the State Legislature has to make changes according to the U.S. constituiton, not the election “officials”, or the AG, or Governor. Someone should have schooled the SCOTUS before they voted on Pa and NC changes.
I presume that Roberts voted with the liberal bloc to make it a 4-4 tie and throw out the GOP suit..

  15. Election outcome? At this point, it looks like a consensus affirmation of the last election because the vote by state totals are bigger for Trump in Battleground states than it was in 2016.

The delayed votes (in AZ, for instance) muddy the EV picture and will delay final and official results. But Trump vote is up in WI, PA, MI pretty big. Also in OH, FL, and NC (I think).

The counting is delayed in several. The surprise is that in 6 counties in Wisconsin and Maricopa county in AZ — all Trump friendly — have run out of ballots.

Closing times have been extended, in general. Maricopa, Co, in AZ has had to resort to using sharpie magic markers on paper ballots, which bleed thru and will make counting and recounting votes difficult. And an AZ flip a controversy.

Ergo, a reaffirmation election Trump victory is what we see. Even though Biden, Dems, and Marxist media will tell you that it is a hung outcome. And EV may be tighter, in the end and week to come

    Good night everybody.

  16. PS The election outcome should not be this close. As UCLA economist Tim Groseclose’ repeated methodical research demonstrated 20 years ago, absent media skewing bias, America would vote like Tennessee or Texas on average.

Groseclose — who moved to GMU because of SoCal hostility — found a 8%? Or 6%? Leftist skew to election outcomes, based on studying the 1990s roll out of FoxNews cable TV Congressional Districts and other systemic data.

If Biden Crime family and CCP corruption info was generally known, and known earlier, this election outcome would not have been close.

SHAME, SHAME ON THE EVIL RULING CLASS TRAITORS! MAY DEATH COME TO YOU ALL EARLY AND HARD.

  17. PPS A “Status Quo” election result was the term I was reaching for, above — but could not find. That’s it. Sorry, folks.

  18. A LATE BREAKING and insightful comment at Instapundit expresses the paradox observed, tonight:

“Tex Taylor • 15 minutes ago
So let me get this straight. Trump is overperforming in all the counties I’ve seen from his 2016 performance in those counties that voted for Obama but then voted for Trump – some of them substantially overperforming the 2016 results.

“But somehow, and it’s a miracle, it’s not enough to offset the big city vote where Trump is also overperforming with minorities.

“I’m not a pollster, but something about all of this Biden positivity is not adding up. And according to the nitwit at FOX News, only 44% of the remaining Arizona vote will go Trump’s way. Therefore, Biden should easily win Arizona by over 10% considering he leads by 8% now. I call BS big time.

“Something is stinking to high heaven in the last 90 minutes.

I guess let’s call that the skeptics case against the AZ flip story that FoxNews is selling.

Reading deeper into the comments in the past hour of the same Instapundit thread, some say the 900,000 uncounted votes in AZ should go Trump by a ratio of 2 or even 3 to 1 to Biden.

    Who knows! I sure don’t.

  19. Not sleeping well, so got up to check. I believe Trump is at 270 EV now, and that’s without PA, where his vote lead may be more than the fraud can offset.

Trump wins. Or so I hope.

  20. FoxNews Chris Wallace said we are in year 2000 territory again, where the courts will decide the outcome again.

He’s wrong. Unless, suddenly, a cache or two of a hundred thousand ballots is “discovered.” Then he’s right, and then Trump telling us (after 2AM Eastern) that the Democrats are trying to steal the election is also true.

THIS IS STILL A STATUS QUO ELECTION.

Here is the election outcome status for your morning, as reported at 2:35AM at Zerohedge:

    TRUMP Total 213 – KY (8), IN (11), WV (5), SC (9), AL (9), TN (11), OK (7), MS (6), ME (1/2) FL (29), AR (6), WY (3), LA (8), ND (3), SD (3), NE (4/5), KS (6), MO (10), UT (6), ID (4), OH (18), TX (38), IA (6), MT (3)

    BIDEN
    Total 238 – VT (3), VA (13), CT (7), IL (20), DE (3), NJ (14), RI (4), ME (1/2), MA (11), MD (10), DC (3), NY (29), NM (5), CO (9), NH (4), NE (1/5) CA (55), OR (7), WA (12), AZ (11), NM (5), HI (4), MN (10)

Only one state flipped (for now if Fox projections hold): Arizona for Biden.

NBC News projects that Democrats will maintain their control of the House of Representatives.

It’s looking less and less likely that the Democrats will take over the Senate. They lost crucial races in Montana and Iowa and their path is narrowing rapidly.

Mail-in ballot delays are hitting now:

WI (no way we’re announcing tonight),
    MI (Friday),
PA (no count anytime soon) and
GA (biggest Dem county stopped counting, Trump leading by 300k).

That’s 62 electoral votes in total. 62 is a big number in a race for 270. That’s why we might not know tonight.

Jonathan Tamari of the Philadelphia Inquirer warned that:

“One huge red flag for Biden in PA: He’s currently trailing in Chester County, a key suburb that Clinton won by 25.5k – and Dems were counting on for a bigger win. Still a lot of mail ballots not counted there, but Biden needs to win big there.”

  21. Great news from North Carolina – Cawthorn gets 54.5% against 3 challengers.

    https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/elections/madison-cawthorn-wins-north-carolina-race-will-become-youngest-sitting

“Cawthorn will become the youngest sitting member serving in Congress,”

The URL “headline” is curiously ironic, under the circumstances.

    https://nypost.com/2020/08/26/rnc-2020-rising-gop-star-madison-cawthorn-gives-stirring-speech-about-adversity/

  22. Powerline has an intriguing bar chart showing exit poll results by demographics (well, exit polls), and comparing them with 2016 results. Somehow this shows that Trump has gained in all demographics except for white men, whose support he’s lost by five points (62% -> 57%).

–Powerline, “IDENTITY POLITICS HITS THE WALL”
    https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/11/identity-politics-hits-the-wall.php

This is what’s bothered me all along. I kept reading how Trump was gaining support among women and minorities, yet somehow he was falling behind Biden.

So now we know, maybe, that white men flipped on Trump. But who are they and why?

  23. Electoral College tracker and Congressional seat counts here, with state maps.
    https://redstate.com/election/2020-results

I can only imagine what the numbers would look like if Trump wasn’t pulling record numbers of rally fans & yuuge boat parades.
How in the world can this election possibly be this close in a sane world?

The maps are just like 2016, once again demonstrating the value of the Electoral College.

  24. huxley – that’s an interesting question.

Lauren Southern currently on SkyNews Australia. Is it just an American election?

No, says the Canadian: because”Big tech is a global problem. China is a global problem. Social Media exporting ‘Woke’ imperialism is a global problem.”

The Democrat election stealing is obvious already. From Instapundit COMMENTS, Wisconsin is flipped from Trump within the hour:
“ Isolden mlhouse • an hour ago
I can only speak for Wisconsin but I’ve seen it over and over- Milwaukee and Madison report after all other countries so they can tell how many votes they have to manufacture. Happens all the time.”

    True.

    Any evidence for this claim?

    “ClydeDale • an hour ago

“Apparently a SINGLE police cruiser delivered approximately 160,000 absentee ballots from Milwaukee which went about 89% for Biden (in the middle of the night, of course, and all at once).

  25. How in the world can this election possibly be this close in a sane world?

AesopFan: Sorry, this is Earth AKA Planet of the Apes.

Perhaps you want Saneway. That’s a couple stops down on the spiral arm.

  26. DEPRESSING SCENARIO OF THE STOLEN ELECTION FORESEEN:

    kennycan • 3 hours ago
Looks like we never had a chance to have a Free and Fair Election. Around 10PM EST the Dems stopped counting votes in most States that Trump had a lead, began counting how many votes they need in GA, NC, PA, MI, WI to steal the Election.

NC has been stuck on 94% votes counted since just after 10 PM. Nothing has changed there, but Trump was up 1.4% with only 6% left to count and many votes coming from Trump areas of the State.

They are just going to fill out ballots now and claim they were “in the mail”.

Trump said “No Way, Jose” at a 2:30 AM Statement from the White House with his family there. He declared “we already won, they will not steal this Election, and no more votes will get cast after the polls have closed”

Smoke ’em if ya got ’em, for the Battle for the Country is underway.

So four years of coup attempt – RussiaRussiaRussia and then fake I’m-peach-mint – Immediately followed by a rigged election. Is anyone going to be surprised when the shooting starts? Not me. Not at all.

    https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/411669/#respond

Perversely, I’m not surprised. More perversely, I hope the shooting starts soon enough.

SHOCKINGLY, Nevada vote just flipped for Trump??? (Just said on SkyNews Australia.)

Scratch that. Now it is the corrupt CCP stooge by 23,000 in NV.

  27. The mystery of AZ vote counting, according to Mick Mulvaney (former WH Chief of Staff), on FoxBusiness (Maria Bataromo): “they count votes on a first in, first out” method.

In other words, Dem Mail in ballots, first; Republican Mail in ballots, second; then Election Day walk-in voters, which lean a lot Republican, are counted last.

That’s what Mick’s sources on the ground in Arizona tell him, just now on FoxBusiness this morning.

This explains how the White House can be confident of a Trump win, while FoxNews uses their own independent sampling methods that miss these plausible skew shifts in the later vote counting.

  28. Are you not all entertained?

Trump has said he will take it to Supreme Court. Which is in line with what I told people before in advance. It’ll take about Nov 12-20th to figure this out.

The markets will go so volatile, not a good time to trade unless you know how it works. But after nov 20th, it will get better and more stable rise.

The main sewer called Virginia for Kama too early. And they refused to call Georgia and North Carolina.

Another thing I raised about how there is no “election commission” in the US that calls the election or states. It is up to the main sewer media.

    Really? Come on, Man, really?

    LOL

The Leftist media is going to call… The Election…. for who, the Red Orange boi?

  29. Zaphod on November 4, 2020 at 1:46 am said:
Looking good for Trump and better and better for the Zaphod Benevolent Fund.

    However…

    It’s only November….

You ever think about setting up a small account for day trading? You can easily trade southwest airlines and ncl until February for easy patterns.

Back to elections. Okay California. You may be the decider here and crush the Left if you flip Trump. Come here, kitty, you know you want to show your traumabond Leftists how to enter a new age.

  30. One of the reform ideas for a New US Republic would be to partition off all these Blue cities and counties, creating a city state. This city state would be governed by their own rules, just like most cities and counties are, but they would not have a governor ruling over red areas. Their mayor would just rule over the city and be counted for all intents and purposes as another state.

This would separate the “urban elites” from the “rural poor”. It will also help with the separation of timelines without conflict.

If you look at New York and California, they are mostly red geographically, but the peons and slaves are ruled over by this vampiric cabal in the cities, with their legions of zombies and fake vote printers.

Is this American freedom and justice?

America is looking a lot like a divorce between psychopath blues and reds trying to run away from a beating. A literal beating, I mean.

    https://psychopathfree.com/articles/dissolving-the-ptsd-fight-flight-response-after-abuse.399/

  31. How to steal a Presidential election in plain sight?
First, stop vote counting for a day, or even several days.

Done in PA, done in MI.

Next, create a contretemps over the mails because of the Postal Service delivery delays, who are all Democrat Party run loyalists.

Then have a demonstrably Left biased Judge blow smoke over this “crisis,” creating legalistic cover. DCs 10th Circus Judge Emmet Sullivan fits that need well!
    https://redstate.com/shipwreckedcrew/2020/11/03/judge-emmet-sullivan-cant-rule-on-doj-motion-to-dismiss-gen-flynn-case-running-the-postal-service-takes-up-his-time-n274724

This way, mysterious sourced “votes” can be created, and once in the system, no effort to control their provenance will prevent them from getting counted.

PJ Media says It’s Adios, America. Mail-in balloting means fraud:

Progressives are all about tearing down institutions in the United States, and introducing the potential for fraud into presidential elections is the cornerstone of their plan to render asunder the fabric of the Republic. When every election can be called into question and thrown to the courts, a power-hungry party doesn’t have to develop a sound strategy or run a viable candidate to win.

There was a time when an attempt was made to count all of the votes right away. The mail-in scam gives officials an excuse to punt that responsibility. So election day becomes election week and probably election month.

The longer the process goes on, the easier it is to introduce fraud into it. You will be told otherwise by “experts,” but this is true.

President Trump was correct when he told supporters that he won the election. And it’s comforting that he’s going to fight any ensuing mail-in ballot shenanigans.

Election day ballots are easier to account for than those left up to the vagaries of the performance of the United States Postal Service. In a calmer, saner society that wouldn’t even be up for discussion. Now, we’re supposed to get comfortable with any lack of precision introduced into the system.

    https://pjmedia.com/columns/stephen-kruiser/2020/11/04/the-morning-briefing-rip-america-the-mail-in-voter-fraud-fix-is-in-n1123111

There is only one way to certainly stop this, and that is by requiring vote counting to continue, or else Congress will refuse to recognise their manufactured voting results.

The stoppage in counting is only happening in Democrat dominated states and in Democrat run cities. The stoppage itself must be seen as an admission to commit voter fraud.

  32. Good morning. Between the NY Post maps and the RedState.com maps, I don’t know which to prefer, but they’re both pretty.

  33. At the start of the day as I reflect on the current circumstances I find myself with exactly the same understanding that I have held for several years now: I blame the voters. I know hundreds of well-meaning, nice people who have cast their ballot for Biden-Harris. Some for their acceptance of the media-generated hatred for our President, others because they hold to this or that cause of the Democrat party that will solve this or that problem or injustice. The latter perceive a “conservative”, I consider myself a “constitutionalist” as a impediment to their programs and solutions being properly applied. The Archbishop of Sioux Falls S.D. read the party platforms of both parties as part of his homily this last Sunday. To hear such simple, unadulterated ideas juxtaposed didn’t require a degree from even high school to prove that one lined up with the founding documents of this country and the 10 commandments and one did not. So every person who claims to adhere to and desire to uphold these tenets but then cast their ballot in favor of the platform in opposition, enabled us to be in a place where election fraud and cheating may carry the day. Because while the individual may oppose such action, the party supported, in general, has no problem with the ends justifying the means…so cheating is in the air. The word God and virtues of honesty and rule of law are not a part of the Democrat platform. So when I look out my window at work and I see the escalation of the homelessness, filth and criminality that has accompanied the legislation of the Garcetti/Newsom et al leadership, I blame my fellow citizens who voted these wisdomless people into office. Oh, and we are returning Nancy Pelosi to her seat. You know, the person who embraced the Chinese restaurant owners in San Francisco when the virus concern began and chided the President for his action that no doubt saved many lives. But Democrat good, Republican bad. Stupidity and foolishness run amuck.

  34. I stayed up until 2 am and had Fox on in the background while I worked on the computer.

I got to watched Fox News steal an election in real time. The numbers said one thing, Fox said another. It hasn’t got any better today: Wisconsin and Michigan discovered hundreds of thousands of Biden ballots early this morning. My consolation is POTUS Trump has no intention of rolling over for it.

  35. Fractal, if we don’t use the guns we have to stop vote thievery in plain sight, then nothing else matters.

    Breitbart ^ | 11/04/2020 | Haris Alic

Gov. Tom Wolf (D-PA) is pledging to count all outstanding mail-in ballots before Pennsylvania certifies a winner in this year’s presidential contest. Wolf, who has publicly endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden, took to social media early Wednesday, saying the race is too close to call

  38. This is why I have not been voting in recent years. It is too much like playing with a fixed roulette wheel. Why spend the effort when you know the outcome in advance. What comes next is lawfare and then civil war and when that is over judges like Sullivan need to hang. Yes, I voted in this one, not that it matters. I want to say we made one last try.

Now we shall see if Trump is a war-time president or not.

  39. WI news: reportedly, more net votes recorded than registered voters.

Chases Eagles says “judges like Sullivan need to hang.“

I’m way ahead of you. Or has the story or novel of a political assassination squad composed of terminally ill avengers, destined to go out as Patriots to save the Republic from tyrants, instead of just unremembered cancer victims, all pledged to a brotherhood of total secrecy, already been written?

@thechrisbuskirk AZ early am update. Maricopa County overnight was a pickup of ~50,000 votes for Trump. Biden lead is now ~90k with ~520k ballots out there. A 60-40 Trump split of those ballots would put Trump ahead by ~10k. Trump has been winning the count 60-40 or better since late last night.

Over votes in MI, too? Like WI?

  41. I still think it will be Harris as prez. the one silver lining is that it appears the GOP will hold on to the senate…the only guard rail left as we careen towards the cliff.

Yes in this election Americans did not rise in sufficient numbers to avoid divisive post election chaos.
It’s not over but it’s not a good start.
A solid core of people woke up, election observers, poll workers, campaign volunteers, spontaneous car parades … that’s a positive!

  43. “GOP will hold on to the senate…the only guard rail left as we careen towards the cliff.”

Don’t count Trump out, not yet. And we have bolstered the Supreme Court that counts for something

  44. Recall the 2016 MI recount?
It was quickly stopped when multiple precincts had more Hillary votes than votes cast or voters registered.

For those that told me voter fraud was no big deal because trump 2016 win…. please look at 2020

  47. All I see on FB from the libs is “How can so many people not see what a horrible person Trump is??!!” Yep, half the population of the US is lost. 100% personality/emotiuonal voting on their part.

I see AZ may still be in play… WTH Fox news?? Looks like they went over to the dark side.

  48. Yes. Fox News is unquestionably corrupt. Their performance last night was disgraceful. Baier, Wallace, Stirewalt – the unholy three.

Carlson, Bartiromo and Hume have integrity. Too bad a genuine conservative news channel is not offered on standard cable.

  49. Sharon W, you pretty much answered my question about why we are in the situation we are in; it was rhetorical anyway, but you explained it well.
As for which planet we live on: huxley, I was thinking Bizarro World.

Seriously, though, I am pondering the fundamental paradox of this election.

    (1) Despite completely negative coverage by the MSM, when they aren’t actively censoring or suppressing stories, President Trump still has the support of nearly half the country.
    (2) Despite devastating revelations of corruption and criminality, the Democrats still have the support of nearly half the country.

Of course, 1 & 2 are connected, but still …

  50. Progressives: feels, whatever it takes, we are righteous, everyone else is evil
Democrats: feels, thinking is hard, feels!

  51. ” I know hundreds of well-meaning, nice people who have cast their ballot for Biden-Harris. Some for their acceptance of the media-generated hatred for our President, others because they hold to this or that cause of the Democrat party that will solve this or that problem or injustice.”

You say they are nice and well-meaning. Yet you also point out that in the final analysis they adopt an end justfying the means moral philosophy, and vehicle ( the totalitarian trending Democrat Party), in order to get the particular social program instituted they prefer.

What then can well-meaning refer to in such a context? That they are sensitive people who want everyone “welcome” and comfy and just want the government to take care of ensuring it?

If so, does then, the original liberty predicate upon which this polity finds its foundation and legitimacy even register with such people? And if it does not, are they even fit to be considered as, or recognized as political peers?

Alternatively, if they understand the defining predicate in historical terms, but reject it in practice because such a predicate fails to “privilege” ( to use one of their own terms) their social sensitivities, or their institution dwelling preferences and advantages through government action- action, which they demand nonetheless – can they be truly considered peer-worthy and well-meaning in that case, either?

I think that we often judge mild seeming, and especially, sensitive seeming people, as well-meaning simply because we cannot easily imagine such physically powerless, or “disadvantaged” people as the cynical self-dealers they are; and can only conceive of them as “misled” … because of the sympathy or fellow-feeling they are able to elicit in others.

What I am suggesting, is that if one could look inside them, one would see nothing so innocent or so naive as one might otherwise imagine.

I suspect they are fully aware of what they are doing, and any naivete is feigned as part of a larger life strategy they have adopted in order to capitalize on, and to milk the Judeo-Christian traditions and their proponents.

I suppose it is one thing to tolerate such exploitation in ones personal life, but to see the republic swirl down the drain because, in part, of misplaced compassion for the supposedly misguided, is another moral matter entirely .. it seems to me.

  52. ” All I see on FB from the libs is “How can so many people not see what a horrible person Trump is??!!” Yep, half the population of the US is lost. 100% personality/emotiuonal voting on their part.”

How? Because they, some significant portion at least, have no economic skin in the game. Or at least not in the marketplace free enterprise and manufacturing game. All the Democrat voters I know have spent their lives determinedly insinuating themselves into large institutions for the very purpose of insulating themselves from any such considerations. Not all are paid out of taxes, but all those I can think of off the top of my head are, save for one or two. College professors. School teachers. School district employees or retirees. All, almost, present or former inhabitants of government, government affiliated, or essentially monopolistic bureaucracies.

What do they need freedom for? Or better, why would they care if you have it? As long as they can make you bake a cake for their hormonally and psychologically unbalanced offspring, it is all “good”.

Speaking of which … just the other day I was informed by a cousin, as we were discussing the fall of “Rome” and why I won’t rent my vacation property barn out for weddings, that one of their neighbors has three sons, all of whom identify as homosexual. The parents are fine with it. The cuz’s wife, in response to my look of stupefaction, comnented that the husband himself seemed somewhat “gay” to her. Is such a thing even theoretically possible? What effen subspecies have been lurking among us all these generations …? And how the hell did they get here?

  53. What effen subspecies have been lurking among us all these generations …? And how the hell did they get here?

I don’t think you really want the answer to that. Alice rabbit hole, vampiric cabal, territory.
