I love these, although it is so clear how the camera or the editing lies – the dancer is average looking, her pose ends in a blink of an eye, and yet, the editing afterwards makes it all look so ethereal. Great for her to be able to use her skills in another way to make money.
FUN video. It shows us how those iconic dance performance photos get made!
Minnesota’s SignalGate: Coordinated OBSTRUCTION of ICE Is a Federal Felony!”
The Andrew Branca Show
Even though from yesterday, attorney Branca asks how far do the Signal Group Chats in Minneapolis show conspiracy?
Pretty far in his opinion.
Branca ends up arguing that Pretti’s death can indeed be blamed on the co-conspirators because they knew they were engaged with obstructing justice. They knew that their stochastic terrorism could reasonably be foreseen to cause death, even though they did not know who exactly would wind up dead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJU_axoLREg
In his view, their responsibility is damning.
Cornhead,
Thanks for the tip on Sasha Stone’s Substack – she’s very good!!
If anyone is wondering, THIS is probably why all those western-state governors and mayors—humanitarians all!—are doing their utmost to persuade residents to leave as fast as possible for less insane locales:
I love seeing “behind the curtains” for theater, and now for dance photos.
The editing is fabulous, and probably similar to what happens to the “silver screen” after the post-production crew gets done with it. See “Singing in the Rain” for a look at the switch from silent movies to talkies – it is hilarious!
I’m sure the same thing happens for all advertising pictures. In fact, there are videos about why the food on the package looks so much better than what you end up with – it’s all made inedible with glue, plastic, more intense coloring, land other “fortifiers” — kind of like the 2020 election.
Leah Kabaker,
… the dancer is average looking.
?!?!
A talented woman, in her prime, expertly displaying mastery of her body in an art form she spent years developing!!!
What could be more beautiful?
Reports now coming out from Townhall and Fox that after the move to replace Bovino with Homan, that Walz and Frye are still making demands to have ICE out, so nothing’s really changed in their stances. I guess we wait and see what the insurrectionists do; they did march into the state capitol yesterday. They did say Homan was more “professional”. I take that to mean he knows how to talk to politicians, where Bovino probably was more blunt and wouldn’t take their BS.
Good explanation of the Insurrection Act, it’s history, it’s use and it’s relation to the Posse Comitatus Act by Ben Shapiro.
I think President Trump is reluctant to use the Insurrection Act, even though its use is certainly justified, because the level of lawlessness would likely increase in a other blue cities as the cries of Fascist/Dictator explode by the usual suspects. By “de-escalating” the lawlessness in Minneapolis he has put a shining light on the state/city leaders in the state. ‘You help me enforce the immigration laws, and there will be no need for the massive federal law enforcement presence’.
We’re going to see shortly if Walz/Frey CAN control their own citizens (or intend to). At that point the President will have no choice but to invoke the Act.
If she is just average I guess some are expecting to see an angel dancing on the head of a pin.
From The Federalist article Mike Plaiss linked to:
It seems that, in the aftermath of Alex Pretti’s death, Trump lost his spine and decided to cave to the unfolding chaos in Minneapolis as well as the Democrats who engineered it.
It’s this sort of cheap bullying by “conservatives” that is maddening.
Trump hasn’t caved. He hasn’t lost his spine. If these people actually listened to the expectations the President has laid out three specific criteria that the state and local governments must do. In exchange, he will remove all CBP officers, who had to be called in to fill the role that local LEO are expected to perform, mainly crowd control.
From transcript of Karoline Leavitt’s Jan. 26 press conference:
…DEMOCRAT LEADERS IN MINNESOTA WITH SANCTUARY CITY POLICIES HAVE DEFIED FEDERAL IMMIGRATION LAW AND THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. AS A RESULT OF THAT DEFIANT, TWO MINNESOTIANS HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES ON THE STREETS OF TIM WALZ’S STATE. IT IS PRESIDENT TRUMP’S HOPE AND WISH AND DEMAND FOR RESISTANCE AND CHAOS TO END TODAY.
PRESIDENT TRUMP SPOKE WITH GOVERNOR TIM WALZ THIS MORNING AND OUTLINED CLEAR AND SIMPLE PATH TO RESTORING LAW AND ORDER IN MINNESOTA.
NUMBER ONE, GOVERNOR TIM WALZ, MAYOR FREY AND ALL DEMOCRAT LEADERS SHOULD TURNOVER ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS IMPRISONED TO FEDERAL AUTHORITIES ALONG WITH ILLEGAL ALIENS WITH ACTIVE WARRANTS OR KNOWN CRIMINAL HISTORY FOR IMMEDIATE DEPORTATION.
NUMBER TWO, STATE AND LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT MUST AGREE TO TURNOVER ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS WHO ARE ARRESTED BY LOCAL POLICE AND THEN THIRDLY, LOCAL POLICE MUST ASSIST IN APPREHENDING AND DETAINING THOSE WANTED FOR CRIMES ESPECIALLY VIOLENT CRIMES.
IF GOVERNOR TIM WALZ AND JACOB FREY IMPLEMENT COMMON SENSE MEASURES IMPLEMENTED IN EVERY SINGLE OTHER STATE ACROSS THE COUNTRY, CUSTOMS AND BORDER PATROL WILL NOT BE NEEDED TO SUPPORT ICE ON THE GROUND IN MINNESOTA. ICE AND LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT CAN PEACEFULLY WORK TOGETHER AS THEY ARE DOING IN OTHER STATES AND JURISDICTIONS
PRESIDENT TRUMP IS CALLING ON THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS TO IMMEDIATELY PASS LEGISLATION ENDING SANCTUARY CITIES ONCE AND FOR ALL. AMERICAN CITIES SHOULD BE SAFE SANCTUARIES FOR LAW ABIDING CITIZENS ONLY NOT FOR DANGEROUS ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS WHO BROKE OUR NATION’S LAWS AND DO NOT BELONG HERE.
WE HOPE GOVERNOR TIM WALZ WILL DO THE RIGHT THING AND CONTINUE TO WORK WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP TO KEEP THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SAFE FOLLOWING THEIR CALL THIS MORNING….
> … the dancer is average looking.
Not on this planet.
Rick Gutleber:
Maybe “average-looking” for a ballet dancer??
Again:
Invoking the Insurrection act and bringing in the army will be timed to the midterms. It is unaffected by what is happening on the ground – because Walz and Frey are producing Trump’s campaign videos for free.
The violence is local and self-inflicted. No other jurisdictions are affected – but many fence-sitters are paying close attention.
Trump has played this beautifully – yet another rope-a-dope that leaves the Dems adopting ever more radical positions. Not taking the bait, not sending in the boots – which would immediately be spun as evidence of “fascism” – deprives La Revolution of the oxygen it needs to build the bonfire higher.
Makeup, women’s secret weapon. And guys keep falling for it.
I was in the play “The Importance of Being Earnest” in my yout, and the makeup artist told me, “I’m going to make you an Adonis”.
Well, my future wife was at the play, and…the rest is history.
that is wonderful display of art
itt seems like this compact, secured at gunpoint, with a general of the Screaming Eagles seems to be holding, to some degree, but both Jazz Hands and the goofy mayor Frey, are stating otherwise, the Insurrection Act is at least at Defcon 2 if not one action,
the bizarre twists that have been happening in minnesota, since the good shooting, that lead to the Church mobbing, and the latest events, are really strange, the usual suspects Murkowski Collins and Tillis, aren’t surprising in their reactions, but Fetterman’s reflexive action, does seem so, (suggesting to fire Noem) some conbination of the pressure to primary him, and some sentimentality, seems to be in play,
the opposition to the spanish socialist, seems to be split between the Populares (GOP) Ciudadanos (Tea Party) and Vox (Maga) as far as one can ascertain,
other conflicts that have not been addressed are Judge Schiltz, who seems to be holding the lawfare sword,
Another issue is Iran and as one wise POTUS said “one war at a time “. We don’t have enough carriers to meet our security needs. We pulled one away from facing China for Iran. The massive looting of the tax payers is a national security catastrophe for this reason. Tough image aiding insurrectionists in Iran while suppressing them in blue states.
Speaking of China and history, Minnesota has the AWFLS and their knuckleheads playing the role of the Red Guards with thought police accosting citizens who look ICEy or insufficiently woke at neighborhood checkpoints.

Always good to read about another changer and know that neo isn’t the only one.
When the scales fall from the eyes, they fall hard.
Yesterday, I saw the Pina County Sheriff hold a press conference about a firefight resulting in a shooting of a mule in an area south of Tucson. Question seemed hostile for an area where this isn’t a particularly rare event.
Today, here’s a Sheriff in central coast of California telling citizens his deputies would no longer try and keep bystanders away from active crime events. In this case a person fled across several jurisdictions engaging in firefights, result eventually in his death and the serious wounding of a LEO. He remarked about how vile the comments in social media were to his officers.
Right now, here’s a story coming out of Phoenix were immigration enforcement were serving warrants on people in 15 different location of a local pub chain. They never used the word deportation, just that they were serving warrants.
In this case they would be administrative warrants from a immigration judge, the first step in deportation– probably expedited deporations. There were about 150 protesters (or more) according to the reporter on the scene and you can here lots of shouting. One masked guy with an AR15 like rifle looking quite ninja like. The reporter described it as “mostly peaceful”. That was probably accurate.
Without knowing the level of protests previous to the events in Minneapolis and how much the Pretti shooting is going to enable/encourage protests around the country.
I imagine most here would be just fine seeing the Democratic Party implode, but for those of us wanting them to regain their senses, here is the last best hope.
Slow day on the WSJ editorial page and this was the most interesting thing.
Rahm Emanuel. He’ll likely run. My guess is he’ll get slaughtered in the primary, but I hope I’m wrong.
For renewal to win, Democrats would have to see confrontation with President Trump and Republicans as a political loser. They don’t.
Mike,
I think Rahm Emanuel will do very well, if he runs. I’ve heard him do a few interviews recently. He’s speaking like a centrist and willing to call out the extremes in his party.
God forbid. It will take more than some soothing noises quoted in a puff piece written by Bill Kristol’s son-in-law to make up for the things he has done, and the things he will do if he achieves that office.

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but sometimes it helps to have the beholder be told to take another more careful look.

Attention!
I just found a new changer of remarkable writing talent. Her name is Sasha Stone and her Substack is called Free Thinking.
I just read parts 3 and 4 of her series “Our virtual Civil War.”
Excellent.
