Minnesota, hub of the left — 36 Comments

  1. I had forgotten how little regard I have for Joe Biden until I saw this.

This whole revolution has me sick to my stomach. Mayor Frey: “I dropped an F-bomb; they killed someone. In balance, which is worse?” (Paraphrasing.). It just makes me sick. I would like to give all of Minnesota back to the First Nation.

  2. Neo, did you read Matt Walsh’s column that I linked in the open thread this morning?

The Democrats/left is pushing hard now to start CW2. They want armed conflict with the government. They are using the TDS of their followers to ramp up emotions to fever pitch. Just a few minutes ago I checked on my liberal/ left friends on FB. They are saying such vile things about ICE and Trump that I’ve never seen from such people before. Again, these are people who generally live normal lives, but are now being whipped into a violent frenzy.

    Scary stuff

  3. Re: Video

I kept thinking, who is that? It kinda looks like Joe Biden, same bald spot, but his eyes are alive and his brain and mouth are engaged.

It’s shocking how far Biden has run down. And still was the D nominee for President until that last debate.

  4. Good was not good. Clearly she was an aggressive, deluded feminist Leftist with their impulse to violate law and establish their own, perverse conduct as righteous. The USA is slowly but surely coming apart, torn apart by the Left aka Democrats. As physics guy says.

  5. It’s not just Biden. His response in 2007 would have been normal for many if not most Democrats at the time. But thanks in part to the victory of his running mate in the next two Presidential elections the Democrat left came to believe in its entitlement and inevitability and now the entire party except for Fetterman has a “no enemies to the left” mentality. Including many former “nice moderate liberals”.

  7. “Of course they want a civil war and they think they can win it.”

“Those the gods would destroy… they first make mad.”

  8. It seems pretty clear from the taunting from both Good and her wife, that they have been conditioned to believe they are untouchable by ICE or Federal Law Enforcement. If this is a representative sampling of their behavior for the previous hours as well, I can understand why ICE had decided it was time for them to be taken into custody.

RIP. Unnecessary from any perspective, but the really odious work is still ahead of this, as the Progressive Spin Machine winds up.

  9. And now a GoFundMe has been set up and is raking in millions. But of course.
Stoking the hate machine against ICE, Trump and truly all Rep., will end in more dead. Maybe on both sides.
And yet, the Dems still want more and more Fraud.

  10. probably unpopular opinion here but the Ruthless podcast is generally a full-day behind Crowder news and not half so funny.

  11. @Aggie: “It seems pretty clear from the taunting from both Good and her wife, that they have been conditioned to believe they are untouchable by ICE or Federal Law Enforcement.”

Yes. Elsewhere on the web, I am seeing false comments that ICE has no power to arrest US citizens. Note that Rebecca Good lets the ICE officer know that she Renee are US citizens. I wonder if that piece of misinformation was included in this couple’s “ICE resistance” training.

Not only is ignorance of the law no excuse, it can get you killed.

  12. Usually, I’m not all that crazy about Vance. I very much respect his high intelligence, and accomplishments, but he doesn’t appeal to me. But the speech he gave the other day, quoted in Neo’s post, was excellent. I heard the whole thing. It was sensitive to the tragedy of Good’s death, but very forthright: if you don’t like the laws, you vote to change them (or vote for representatives to change them). (I went to find a video or transcript of his speech on Google, but the first things that came up were PBS (yeah, that one our tax dollars pay for who insist they are not Lefty Liberal) and The Guardian et al. – all with titles that so mischaracterized what he said, never mind the situation, I was disgusted. The fact is, if Good hadn’t put herself there in the first place, if she had listened to the ICE officers’ orders to get out of the car, this would never have happened. The most telling words come from her wife who blamed herself (at least at first) because she “made [Karen} come here.” Yes, she, too was to blame. There’s a very long list of who is to blame, and most of it is the Democratic politicians who have been encouraging resistance to Fed’l Govt, to ICE; to get in there faces. There have been cries that if it takes someone dying…. They have been waiting for this. Unfortunately, in a twisted way, those who have no relationship to Good are gleeful because it gives them a feeling of justification to protest vehemently and do whatever they want to. If someone else on the left were to be harmed, so much the better. The reporting is insane. Walz and Frey are disgusting and interested only in currying favor with their “choir” by mischaracterizing, claiming right to investigate “independently” because the Federal Govt. is biased. Not them. It is a tragedy that has been in the making for a long time….

  13. It’s also clear Good wasn’t going anywhere yet because her wife who was with her was getting in the car when she backed up and then hit the accelerator. Hmmm, she didn’t care that she might be hurting the ICE officer. Did she care that her wife might be hurt? Or if she was trying to get away because the ICE officers wanted to arrest her, was she just going to leave Rebecca (wife) behind to fend for herself? Nice relationship they must have…. Don’t get me wrong – I find it abhorrent that someone died. But I also believe she put herself in danger. I understand what the ICE officer(s) thought as she drove the car. I am not familiar with their training, but I understand it includes regarding a vehicle being driven toward them to be a weapon with deadly force. As Molly G said to Aggie: they are so conditioned by the Left organizers, that they seem to believe that are untouchable…” Or perhaps, if truly believing they are in the right, that no one would dare hurt them. Are they coached? Are they “true believers” for whatever reason thinking it is up to them to defend all poor illegal aliens including criminals who have right to be here? I don’t know. Has anyone considered what people would be saying had Renee Good run over the ICE officer. (And btw, shame on the press- including the WSJ – for naming the ICE officer. I was disgusted. What did anyone in any press office think that would accomplish except putting Officer Ross, and likely his family, in danger).

  14. This is a wonderful example of Darwinian selection. Ms. Good did dumb things and got removed from the gene pool.

  15. Cindy:
It is now clear from review of additional videos that the “wife”, as she was attempting to enter the vehicle was shouting, “Drive baby, drive, drive, drive!” So that clarifies the situation, at least for me. When your adrenaline is pumping (and I assure one and all that the dead woman’s flight/fight reflex was fully engaged) and you are given an external stimulus like someone shouting at you, it is really not a situation that encourages clear and dispassionate reflection. Inarguably, these women had been conditioned to believe they were something like Thelma and Louise, sisters-in-arms in “the struggle.” They probaby should have watched the movie through to the end, however before deciding to drive off the cliff.

  16. Was wondering for billions how many children could possibly be divided by that number? 10’s of thousands per kid?
And see NY wants to get into this scamming. Leftists like to send their children into the village to be educated.

  17. Canada mourns that the Goods didn’t stay in their land, truly that was a great loss for Canada. (sarc)

Saint Sparkles and Acotyte Drive, Drive, Drive could have done so much! (sarc)

  18. The magnitude of the fraud – apparently in the billions of $$$$ – in MN could not have happened unless those in politically powerful positions allowed and encouraged it to happen.
There is no way they could not have known what was going on.

How can those individuals who were in a position to stop this fraud, and did nothing about it, not be accessories to the crimes??

So far, those in DC who committed the Russia / Trump fraud have not even been indicted for their crimes (excepting, sort of , the former FBI’s Comey).

Fauci’s crimes have gone totally unpunished (he lied to Congress numerous times and he allowed/approved funding of Wuhan’s gain of function work).

So, what will happen in MN??

So far the track record in punishing miscreants is a big fat zero.

  19. Aggie: … they have been conditioned …

This was a middle aged, middle class, mid-west, married couple with a young child. That such a demographic can be radicalized to such an extent to undertake such dangerous behavior — it’s just inconceivable to me. Functioning adults don’t do this, even if they’re “troubled.”

Thelma and Louise is a movie; do people think they’re actors?

  20. Back to the childcare overpayment/fraud problem in Minnesota. It became a nationwide problem when the Biden administration changed the rules for payment. It’s likely some states were already following this standard of paying the providers based on “attestations” and based on enrollment, not attendance.

This report is from the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families stating what had changed in the method of payment to providers:

CHILD CARE SUBSIDY PROGRAM OVERPAYMENT REPORT 2025

The CCDF federal rules changed on April 30, 2024, requiring DCYF to pay providers prospectively and based on enrollment. DCYF has sought and been granted a waiver on the timeline for implementation. The implementation workplan includes payment practices exploring ways to implement these new requirements to minimize improper payments. Legislation passed in July 2025, that requires implementation that prohibits claiming when a child has not attended at least one day within the authorization period in the previous month.

The report states that overpayments through March 2025 were $2.1 million to providers. Extrapolated to the full year would be around $10 million. Washington State has 1/5 the Somali population. The report doesn’t say how much of the overpayments have been recovered.

There is another category of subsidies that goes directly to the family, which has a higher overpayment amount, but I don’t know if Minnesota uses a similar system.

Based on it’s population, Minnesota may well be the test bed for states looking to implement fraudulent payments from federal government programs. In sheer dollar size, I would imagine California would lead the way and the problem isn’t likely limited to Somalis– it’s the amount based on the population of Somalis that make this scam so noticeable.

Remember during COVID when there was a vast amount of fraud in unemployment payments. California led the way with $18 billion in fraudulent unemployment payments.

Bring back Musk and DOGE. When Musk said the fraud was $1 trillion, it appears he was right. How is there ever an accounting since both parties are benefitting from scamming the federal government.

  21. Have they never seen what an animal looks like when it is hit by a car or truck? Oh, I forget, LEOs and conservatives are the worst kind of animals (to the left).

Andy Ngo is reporting that Saint Sparkles’s mother was paying her bills, so no, they weren’t a typical middle aged, married, Midwestern couple.

Everybody it seems wants to be the star of the next viral video. The only hint shown in the media that Saint Sparkles FAFO ended in a very bad unphotogenic way was what looked like a bullet hole in her car seats’s hesdrest.

They haven’t shown first responders (body recovery) removing the corpse from the vehicle or if she went into a body bag. Acolyte Drive, Drive, Drive was outraged that Saint Sparkles was handled like a “sack of potatoes.” That’s FAFO sister.

The media must keep the useful idiots unaware of the consequences of unsuccessful attempted murder.

  22. AppleBetty:

There was a large contingent of middle-class mid-western 20-somethings in the Weather Underground. Radicalization is a gradual process, but once one is in a leftist bubble, there is a natural tropism to push each other further left.

There was even a catch-phrase for it: “Lefter than thou.” Though being aware of the mechanism didn’t stop it.

Likewise the trend to more provocative activism. The left’s protest tactics have become increasingly provocative and dangerous. Overwhelmingly, they’ve been getting away with it.

I regard Good’s death as statistically inevitable.

I don’t believe the left is looking for civil war. They are looking for civil disruption which they believe they can exploit. I think they are miscalculating. The rest of the country has learned since the BLM riots.

  23. Thank you very much for the responses.

huxley: once one is in a leftist bubble, there is a natural tropism to push each other further left.

There have always been bubbles and pushes, but the internet seems a bubble pusher.
