And the nations of the Anglosphere continue their virtue-signaling embrace of a terrorist state — 13 Comments

  1. There has never been a country called Palestine, It’s a fictitious country like wakanda. Are they going to open fictitious embassys and exchange ficticous ambassadors? How do you recognize a country that doesnt exist? This is delusional. These people live in fantasyland.

  2. As for the UK, “ignorant” and “pandering” may well apply, but so would being misled by their experience with capitulating to terrorists in Ireland in 1922 and in Northern Ireland in 1998. In those cases, giving the terrorists what they wanted did defuse the problem for the UK, though not necessarily for the people in Ireland who had to live with those terrorists afterward.

But those terrorists actually got what they wanted, which was the same thing that they said they wanted. In Gaza this is definitely not true, as what Hamas actually wants, both words and actions, is to kill Jews. I think the calculation is that in the West Bank those leaders may prefer being autocrats of a thug state getting lots of Western money in preference to killing Jews. I don’t know if that’s true, but I’m not betting my own life on it, and neither is the leadership of the UK.

(As an aside, I say “terrorists” about those Irish because I believe that is accurate. I also believe their grievances were completely legitimate, that the history of Britain in Ireland is everything that anti-Zionists claim about Israel, but worse and went on for many more hundreds of years. Sometimes the battle is not between good and evil, but between different varieties of evil.)

  3. We began to see the Anglosphere fall (decline is too generous) with the Draconian COVID restrictions–especially the ones in Australia and NZ, the Canadian response to the truckers’ strike, England’s lack of response to Muslim rape gangs, etc. It is both sad and scary.

  4. @Ray:Are they going to open fictitious embassys and exchange ficticous ambassadors?

Been doing that for years. Taiwan does too but has to call them something else in countries that recognize China, usually “Taipei Cultural and Economic Office” in English-speaking countries.

  5. Seen the Antifa-Arab coalition riots in Milan It. today? Evidently these were in reaction to the Italian govt’s refusal of Pali recognition, and perhaps an indication of precisely the troubles that Britain, Australia, and Canada are buying off with theirs.

  6. Full statement by Carney:

    https://www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/statements/2025/09/21/statement-prime-minister-carney-on-canada-recognition-state-palestine

    It includes this:

“The Palestinian Authority has provided direct commitments to Canada and the international community on much-needed reforms, including to fundamentally reform its governance, to hold general elections in 2026 in which Hamas can play no part, and to demilitarize the Palestinian state.”

    Yeah, right. Classic taqiyya.

  7. @Watt:to hold general elections in 2026

LOL. Mahmoud Abbas is 20 years into his first four-year term.

  8. The leadership of every country that votes to recognize a putative Palestinian state, demonstrates their unfitness for the office they hold. Yet they would not have been elected to that office without obtaining a sufficient majority of the voters. That majority deserve the fate their elected leadership is leading them toward.

“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Matthew 15:14 KJV

But that majority’s real sin is in dragging the rest of us along.

“Men are qualified for civil liberty—in proportion as their soundness and sobriety of understanding is above their vanity and presumption,—in proportion as they are more disposed to listen to the counsels of the wise and good, in preference to the flattery of knaves.” Edmund Burke

The Left’s Long March Through our Institutions has done incalculable harm and will do far more if allowed to continue.

  9. “Since 1947, it has been the policy of every Canadian government to support a two-state solution for lasting peace in the Middle East,”

    America in 1947 – 1948:

    1) Colonel David Marcus – an America Jew, WWII Veteran of the US Army and West Point graduate is recruited by Israel to go there to organize their military before they are attacked. He does so and Israel defeats the armies of Jordan (led by the British ex WWII officers including the infamous Pasha Grubb) Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

    2) Al Schwimmer, Jewish-American commercial pilot, WWII flight engineer is put in charge of smuggling 30 planes into Israel so the Jews can defend their new nation. He is considered by many to be the father of the Israeli Air Force.

    3) Lou Lenowitz, a US pilot from Pennsylvania leads a group of (4) Messerschmitts (smuggled in from Czechoslovakia where they were built) to bomb and strafe the Egyptian Army convoy and turned them back forever. Many US Jewish ex WW II military pilots also served.

Some nations are cowardly and some not.

The Anglosphere, ex-America, can go to Hell.

  10. An unincorporated territory, in the wake of the Ottoman empire, a Jewish community organizes in an Israeli state. A terrorist state and sympathetic axes powers pledge that the area will be free of Jews from the river to the sea. Progress: one step forward, three steps backward.

  11. No matter what any other nation says or does, the Palestinians will not accept any solution that allows a Jewish state in the middle east, or probably anywhere else. (We could try offering them Nevada but they don’t want it.)
Israel will not accept any solution that doesn’t.
So none of this matters very much.
