  3. Best wishes to your husband. I hope you can get help for him at his home to keep him safe and look after him when you’re not available.

  4. Take care of your own health as you care for his.
    Praying for both of you.
And home health care is important if indicated by his condition.

  5. Prayers for you both. Deep breaths, one step at a time, there is not much else one can do.

  6. My daughter spent 8 weeks in the hospital when she was 9-10 ($1.8M, almost died repeatedly). When we brought her home we thought that just getting her home would wipe her out and she would immediately take a nap. Instead she was awake the whole day, went to bed at a normal time for a 10 year old, and didn’t nap again. She napped and dozed constantly in the hospital. Hospitals are horrible and they drain you of vitality. You should try to get home ASAMA (As Soon As Medically Allowed).

  7. Hopefully his home environment will have a salutary effect on his recovery. Also, I hope his insurance can provide some help with home assistance, at least at first. For people that have recently lost mobility, the home environment can benefit from a trained eye to help mitigate things like tripping hazards or other impediments to getting around safely. Get well soon, and blessings to you Neo !

  8. Neo, take it from me. You are a Caregiver, and you need to take care of yourself FIRST. You are no use to your Ex if you are not rested.
    Good Luck

  9. Hi Neo,
I was reading about your ex husband’s health issues and this cropped up in my Facebook feed. It’s a wheelchair/walker that makes falls impossible while using it. It looks like a really good mobility device that facilitates strength training and it’s very expensive (approx $5000) I know nothing about it except what I saw in the ads. I don’t know if you or your ex will find it useful but I didn’t want to go against the Facebook gods and not show it to you.
Here is a link to the Zeen Facebook page (with lots of videos): https://www.facebook.com/gowithzeen/
Here is the product web page:

Again I don’t know anything about this except what I’ve seen in the paid for ads.
Best wishes to you and your ex.

  10. How fortunate your ex- is to have you.
Prayers for you both, and for your families.

  11. @ Art Deco > “Vince Guaraldi is therapeutic:”

So true! Thanks for the link.
Something I didn’t know, from the comments:
    “@dlee827 3 years ago
I recently heard an interview on CBC radio with the late Jerry Granelli, who was Vince Guaraldi’s drummer. He said that while the “jazz police” were dismissing Guaraldi as a sell-out, none other than Miles Davis was a fan and he went to their gigs regularly.”
