Legal action against the Russiagate perps: what to call it? — 23 Comments

  1. When I was in college, it was mostly understood by everyone who wasn’t a stoned lib that retribution meant deserved punishment.

  2. In a very real sense, “justice” is punishment. Bad things done to somebody who did a bad thing.

The deep state criminals need to be indicted and tried and the evidence made public.

The woke Social Punishment Warriors should be more honesty named, they far more want punishment than a lack of injustice.

  3. The good thing about this investigation is that what was hidden from view will be in the public record and available for the historians to write about the events. And for AI to use in their summaries. Right now, AI only has access to the bias of MSM.

  4. The only way to stop the Dems from doing this again is to have accountability against Comey, Brennan et al for that stuff.

Recall that since Anita Hill was able to pull off her lies, Brett Kavanaugh had to suffer through more perjury and baseless allegations.

  5. Liz (2:32 pm) points out that “what was hidden from view will be in the public record and available for the historians to write about the events.”

That assumes that historians of the future are honest conveyors of history, n’est-ce pas?

In different words, it assumes that historians of the future are emphatically *not* like a large majority of so-called “journalists” are in 2025. I for one am decidedly not optimistic.

    I sure as h#ll hope I’m wrong.

  6. DNI Tulsi Gabbard has revoked the security clearances of Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger..and that’s just the beginning!!
    She’s also pulled clearances from:
    – John Brennan, the former CIA Director who weaponized intelligence and misled the American public about the Steele dossier.
-James Clapper, former DNI, who Swore under 9ath there was no mass surveillance of Americans – then got caught lying.
-Susan Rice, who “unmasked” U.S. citizens for political reasons during the Obama years.
_ Jake Sullivan, Biden’s National Security Advisor, who helped peddle the fake Alfa Bank narrative to smear Trump.
    – Victoria Nuland, the architect of several regime- change disasters and foreign policy failures.
    – Eric Swalwell, who sat on the House Intelligence Committee while having romantic ties to a Chinese spy.
    – Peter Strzok, disgraced FBI agent who vowed to “stop” Trump from winning while investigating him under false pretenses.
    – Lisa Page, another key player in the partisan takedown attempts of a sitting president.
Fiona Hill, who testified during impeachment while maintaining deep ties to anti-Trump institutions abroad.
Tulsi Gabbard is doing what no one else would dare do… finally shutting the door on the corrupt old guard who treated American intelligence like a private political weapon.
These people abused their access. They leaked. They lied. They profited. And they used our national security institutions as tools of revenge and manipulation.

  7. this is the problem fifty years after watergate, how many have corrected the record about what obviously became a coup d’etat, which they attempted in the 80s with Iran Contra, and a generation later with the whole plame matter,

how about fast and furious, another illegal operation that abetted drug cartels, one in particular’s rise to basically control the Mexican government,

  8. I wouldn’t mind a little retribution, as long as it has overtones of vengeance.

We won’t be saturated with innuendo and unproven, unsubstantial accusations and smears. Thankfully this time, we will be reviewing events that are defined by the evidence.

  9. Persecution for foreign policy differences in the height of the cold war it didnt succeed in part because reagans popularity also oliver norths cleverness but part of the prosecutor syndrome see lawrence walsh one of eight deployed in that era two against ed meese

  10. Would that be Trump seeking so-called “vengeance” for what Obama & Co. did to him? Or “vengeance” for what they did to America…in their ongoing effort—and dream—to “transform” (i.e., wreck) the country and then reestablish it along the model championed by the suave ideological thugs of the WEF/WTF and its depraved acolytes in the Democratic Party …and beyond?…

…in a heroic, Herculean attempt to deliver to the creepy political pervs and perps the justice they so richly deserve while ensuring, one hopes, that such a perfidious crime can never happen again?

    + Bonus:
Beware!—if it’s still even possible—of the lovingkindness of Big Brother and his all-too altruistic minions….

  11. Barry Meislin, Good article.

Slavery and serfdom, the goal of many for the world. One thing they want to limit is our ability to be free. Our ability to move and travel freely. I think it can be argued that automobiles have been maybe the largest means of freedom ever. We can pack our vehicles and just leave. Drive across the U.S. in less than a week. And that ability, that freedom of movement is what the dems (mostly) have been fighting to stop. If implemented, Joe Biden’s mandates for electric vehicles would virtually stop travel. I read about a woman’s drive in her Tesla and the many stops for charging the battery. She “Made it from MN to Chicago in 7 hours,”
The lefts war on oil and gas powered vehicles is aimed at curbing out ability to freely travel long distances.
    It’s late and I’m rambling.

  12. I believe the Christian perspective is that we should not seek personal revenge, but rather trust in God to punish those who have injured us. Perhaps this applies to Jews also: e.g. David not killing Saul when he had a chance, because Saul’s back was turned.

I contrast this with civil justice, which is desired and needed, for reasons Neo cites above. Resulting in hard federal prison time for Obama, Hillary, Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Strozk et al. I would also favor capital punishment for any proven capital crimes.

Revenge would be Trump arranging for the murder of any of these evildoers. But making America great again would be his best revenge.

  13. PS – Wouldn’t it be nice if it was determined that Obama is an illegal alien, and he was deported by ICE?

  14. When all these miscreants are brought in to answer questions we will be hearing the endless repetition of ” I take the 5th,” and ” I don’t remember,” “that was not my responsibility,” etc etc.

As for the general public finally learning what actually happened, they won’t learn anything because the MSM will simply not cover any of the proceedings. I guess about 50% of the public gets their info from the MSM so about half the population of the USA will still believe Trump is Putin’s lover.

This entire Trump Russia mess demonstrates that the govt. bureaucracy will waste no time circling the wagons to protect their own or to destroy those they wish to destroy. The govt. bureaucracy is a tight knit group that actually believes they have the obligation to make sure our govt. (or is it “their” govt.?) runs according to their rules; the citizenry be damned.

Eventually, perhaps sooner rather than later, the demonkrats will again control the executive and legislative branches (they still control the judiciary) and “re-install” the govt. bureaucracy as it recently existed during the Biden era. You can bet they will institute measures that will make it impossible for any future president to dismantle it as Trump is attempting to do.

Washington DC is a snake’s pit of self entitled, narcissistic, egotistical, power hungry vermin who are just waiting around for their next democrat president saviour to give them life jackets.
That’s why Trump and the dumbpublicans need to eliminate (not shrink) entire federal agencies.
    But don’t hold your breath.

  15. They just attacked the people like musk and doge that tried to right the ship the cpb has been downsized as well as other agencies

There are some moves toward accountability but we see how for example jeannines office is chronically understaffed in dc

  16. Revenge, retribution, deterrence, and justice are not mutually exclusive terms.
We can do all of them simultaneously.
