  1. (2) Seeing all kinds of crud online, but regardless of whether this is was “planned from the start” or is only validated by changing circumstances, Gaza is a classic example of “finding out”.

The saddest part is that whatever lesson should’ve been learned by ‘finding out’, won’t be.

  2. Taking Boasberg down a peg or two is a move in the right direction, so let’s not complain there are so many out there like him.

  3. Probably somebody should annex Gaza, it would at least be a change. They’d do better under Israel than under Egypt, not that they’d appreciate it.

  4. All the stories about starvation in Gaza, but none about the UN withholding food supplies. And stories about people getting killed trying to get food, no mention that Hamas is doing the killing. Of course, it is always Israel’s fault

  5. Boasberg can’t be touched. He’s the single most powerful person in the world.

  6. I cannot think of another group of people – short of gypsies – that are more unwanted than Palestinians. They’re unwanted even among their own religious brethren, that being much of their own fault. I can’t think of another ethnic group in modern history that have done more to destroy humanitarian goodwill than they have, and they’re quickly on track to become the transnational refuse of Earth by the end of the century.

When the AWFL mega-urban catlady demo is your biggest ally, you’re in deep baba ganoush.

  7. they are just the catspaw, as they were for the Nazis, the Soviets the Iranians and the Qataris for the likes of Macron and Starmer, it’s a cheap virtue signalling to appeal to their newcomers in Towers Hamlet as well as St Denis,

didn’t they get rid of the filibuster for judicial nominations, or this just an excuse of thune,

I think after the doom and gloom about tariffs and the war with Iran, and who knows what, people are unsettled, the more unreliable polls have picked the lower metric,

who would think that janitors would be at the mercy of a mob of psychopaths,

  8. (4) I was hoping for at least a decent guess about the reason for these rather crazy poll results. Crazy, in that the supposedly same polling question seems to be producing a bimodal distribution of results. No explanation in the link.

I had noticed in Fox’s coverage, that the media outlets such as CNN and MSNBC are showing polls for the favorable/unfavorables of the Democrat party in the range of -26% to -30%. And the pollsters on those channels are exclaiming that it is the worst they’ve seen.

However, from my point of view, such numbers gloss over important distinctions. How many of the Dem unfavorables think the Dems did very poorly on the economy and the immigration and have sided or might side with Trump, and how many of the unfavorables think that the Dems are not being extreme enough?? After all, we have also seen the surprising early successes of pols like Mamdani in NY and this guy Fateh in MN.

  9. perhaps, but Kamalas price controls were as far as one could go in our political system, without falling off the earth, what level of madness does the Dems really go, well I’m not really interested in finding out, same with their insane DEI driven insanity,

in the 90s some dems like Robert Kuttner, to cite one example, thought the modest stimulus was too meager, then the one in 2008 was too small for the likes of Krugman, thought the same, then the Green New Deal was proposed inflating the currency,

  11. Israel needs to take the gloves off, if the BBC lies then the BBC dies.

  12. Its not just the bbc the journal as well as the times and the post are on hamas side

  13. Neo re Democrat slow walking confirmations

“ Thune has a plan to expedite matters, but it doesn’t sound very effective to me: “We’re just gonna grind it out and wear ’em [Senate Dems]”

I heard Thunes remarks and his ending statement is “we’re going to be here a while.”

Let’s hope he cancels their coveted August recess. Simple but effective.

  14. Reference Thune and confirmations:
we (on the Right) think that perhaps the constitutional duties of advise and consent for the Senate should and would be a prime metric for senatorial performance come election time, and thus all senators would want to show active engagement on addressing the pros and cons of each nominee before a political challenger brings up lapses in that area.

But when “our democracy” depends on not achieving that duty, I guess too many of us “sovereign citizens” just don’t want the constitution to be followed.
Right now I can’t think of any way to fix this problem, except to elect statesmen over term holders and hacks. Or to play or threaten to play the same game back at the other side when the political tides turn.
