Roundup
(1) An Obama spokesman responds to the accusations about his involvement in Russiagate with the usual claptrap:
Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response,” Obama spokesman Patrick Rodenbush said in a statement. “But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one.”
“These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction,” Obama’s spokesman continued. “Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes.”
I guess there was no Russiagate then, and Obama’s hands are completely clean.
(2) CBS may be paying 20 million more dollars to Trump in settlement of his lawsuit. I doubt that would put much of a dent in their holdings, however.
(3) No love lost between Hunter Biden and Democrat bigwigs. No doubt they wish he’d just shut up:
WASHINGTON — Democrats ripped former first son Hunter Biden over a pair of podcast interviews released Monday in which he ranted against party leaders and high-profile donors for forcing his dad out of the 2024 race while misrepresenting the “shady” facts of his own criminal trials.
“My stomach churns. At seeing a foul-mouthed Hunter Biden attack the world,” ex-Bill Clinton adviser Mark Penn posted on X after the 55-year-old Biden scion went scorched earth on the Democratic establishment.
“Hunter Biden continues to personify loss in a way that mainly helps Republicans,” a well-positioned Democratic source told The Post Tuesday. “It’s a sad fact we should move on from instead of trying to troubleshoot.”
How can you “move on” without troubleshooting, if you want to try to solve the problem? As Stephen Green notes, some of Hunter’s points were well-taken:
Sure, Biden indulged in plenty of CYA and excuse-mongering, which is exactly what you’d expect from someone whose increasingly senescent father was sidelined out of his reelection campaign by senior members of his own party. But Biden also told some hard truths that no other Democrat would or could.
Here are three:
On Hollywood phonies: “I agree with Quentin Tarantino. George Clooney is not a f***ing actor. He is a f***ing, I don’t know what he is, he’s a brand.”
On aging Clinton and Obama hands: “James Carville—who hasn’t run a race in 40 f***ing years—and David Axelrod, who had one success in his political life, and that was Barack Obama. And that was because of Barack Obama—not because of f***ing David Axelrod.”
On the Dems who defenestrated his dad: “What they proved, what the Democratic Party proved is they have no guts.”
(4) The House Oversight Committee is subpoenaing Ghislaine Maxell to testify in a deposition.
(5) Ozzy Osbourne of the band Black Sabbath has died at the age of 76. RIP. I can’t say I followed his career, but some of you probably did.

(1) I’m curious about the appearance that team Trump is going after former Pres. Obama directly. Personally, I more or less subscribe to the idea that presidents should never be criminally prosecuted after their term or terms are over. OK, you can say it was treason etc., but still… People should be very reluctant to prosecute presidents.
I wonder if this tack is a semi-dodge. Create a media smear framework, and then say that we’re not prosecuting Brennan and Comey because it was really Obama’s doing. Then say we’re not prosecuting Obama because he is a former president.
I would go after Brennan and Comey with as much force as possible, but that’s just me.
(4) What on earth will be accomplished by a House subpoena of Ghislaine Maxwell? Doesn’t she still have appeals? What is she supposed to say other than there’s nothing else to know–and who would be convinced by her of that?–or that she won’t say anything because of her appeal or the Fifth Amendment.
Niketas:
I think she’ll just deny things, if she testifies at all.
TommyJay:
The consensus of a lot of pundits on the right is that Trump made his accusation to entice the press into finally covering the Russiagate documents story, which they’d been ignoring.
(Hunter) “Biden also told some hard truths that no other Democrat would or could.”
Clooney’s politics sucks but at least in the hero role, he can act.
I once thought the same of Tom Cruise, until he superbly played the villain in “Collateral”.
Neither Carville nor Axelrod have forgotten their political acumen. In fact, we should be grateful that the current democrat leadership contemptuously dismisses their advice.
TommyJay,
Insisting upon fighting by the ‘Marquis of Queensbury’ rules when your opponent pulls out a knife and states they intend to kill you is a suicidal tactic. Nor is there any doubt about the deadliness of the activist left’s intent.
Megan Kelly talks with Matt Taibbi about the DNI revelations (16:35): https://youtu.be/w7H6R2SV3LM
Taibbi has been reporting on this story in his Racket News site/publication. It’s a subscription deal I don’t access. Kelly says Taibbi has persuaded her that this is actually a big deal and will be going places.
Kelly, I just found out, is still talking with Taibbi live: https://youtu.be/VSBxu8g6VSU
The “statement” from BO’s “People” sounds like a lot of protesting trying cover up the truth.
Comment about prosecuting former Prez, how about what happened to to our current Prez.
I want prosecuting BO, give him what he gave Trump. And, just talking about it is the Process.
Ghislaine Maxwell will more than likely be more forthcoming than all those Biden appointed agency heads that were dragged before republican led hearings and said the following;
I don’t remember
I don’t know
I’ll get back to you on that
I’m not aware of that
we don’t do that
we follow all the laws
the border is secure
we are not targeting parents of school kids
Would be great if Maxwell actually named names. Of course, this would require that somebody pose the question that would elicit this response. This may be too much to ask of dumbpublicans.
Perhaps someone will ask what was Epstein’s source of wealth?
Or, ask if Epstein secretly video taped his guests while they were engaging is illegal and/or immoral activities.
As for what the Democrats will ask, that’s easy;
Was Trump ever a guest of Epstein?
Even if Trump was never a guest of Epstein, did Trump have sex with minors or did he rape women or girls?
You say he never raped anyone, but isn’t it true he really wanted too?
Isn’t it true that when Alexander Hamilton was shot dead by Aaron Burr in 1804, it was Trump who provided the ultimate coup de grace to prevent Hamilton from suffering,
OK, that’s enough.

Obama’s dog said…
Uh, well I might believe the dog.
Maybe.
I have absolutely no use for David Axelrod in any capacity whatever. In fact, to me he looks like a crooked mortician.
Carville has occasionally been making sound points about what the Democrats need to do but always seems to end up having to walk them back because his words upset the loons in their voting base.
He goes back under his rock or flips over like a reptile
I have to admit, it would be great witnessing Obama repeatedly pleading the fifth…..

Cool.

“Biden” may well rue the day Team Obama decided to sic its goon squads on Tulsi….

Regarding Carville, despite making the occasional sensible statement—he has been known to come up with some vehemently whackadoodle judgments; but to his immense “credit” he almost NEVER forgets to pin the blame on DJT….

That’s how he faithfully executed the laws.
They were executed in their cribs. Before they could get out in public to do what they were intentionally written to do.

I’m glad Trump’s Team is going after Obama and his bootlicking flunkies, but so many good songs are being made I won’t get excited until indictments. Remember Durham?
Perhaps the best new talent is Yungblud, tho he’s not yet had a breakout hit. Power pop, punkish, often offensive. One great song, which I sang in karaoke last week, is The Funeral. His official video has an Ozzy cameo at the beginning and end.

Re: (1) – The two sides are talking past each other. I was disappointed in Gabbard for spinning the evidence she released so ineptly. So Russia didn’t manipulate the vote totals? Yes. We knew that. And it’s not the issue. None of the intelligence released by the Obama administration ever directly claimed that Russia manipulated vote totals. Now I don’t believe that Obama and his minions minded at all that their caterwauling about Russia “hacking our democracy” caused people to mistakenly believe that Russia had manipulated vote totals. They certainly never got around to correcting people who did believe that, but they never directly made the claim.
The thing that Obama and his team are guilty of is manipulating and leaking bogus intelligence to launch a baseless investigation of Trump as a potential Russian agent.
Unfortunately, it also looks as though they based their shenanigans on a kernel of truth about Russia making trouble with Facebook ads and maybe (though probably not) hacking the DNC servers.
So Trump and Gabbard release evidence contradicting an assertion that Obama and his team never directly made. Obama responds by saying, “We never said that and Russia did interfere in the 2016 election.” Add a quote from Susan Collins about the 2020 Senate report on Russian interference in the 2016 election, and voila, Gabbard’s “bombshell” turns into a pumpkin.
I completely agree that Russiagate was a horrific abuse of power by Brennan, Comey, and Obama and should be the biggest scandal in American political history. But it isn’t. All of the facts that should have made it such a huge scandal have been out since the IG and Durham reports years ago. The public just doesn’t care. It’s too complicated for people to understand, it’s too easy to spin factually true responses to the allegations, and the whole thing was nearly 10 years ago now.
For the sake of posterity, I think the DOJ should continue digging into it. I would really like to know how involved Obama was in the decision making and what the FBI and other intelligence agencies really thought of the 2016 DNC hack. But there aren’t going to be indictments, let alone convictions. (For one, the Trump decision on presidential immunity probably protects Obama.)
Emphasizing Russiagate as a political issue in 2025 and in the politically inept way that he has is yet another “own goal” by Trump. Trump got his revenge by winning in 2024. That’s going to have to be enough.

Matt Margolis
says that Tulsi has more coming…
https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/07/22/tulsi-is-about-to-drop-more-evidence-against-barack-obama-n4942006
John,
Maybe that’s good that more evidence is released. However, I think even if there’s a solid, non-edited video of Obama ordering everyone to go after Trump with every lie possible, nothing at all will happen. None of these people from Obama on down will ever be prosecuted, let alone convicted.
I don’t know what history will make of these past years since Obama took office, but I think it’s been the most corrupt era ever. From “transforming America” to Russiagate, covid, Biden…etc. None of the actors will ever pay a price.
I will be happy to be proven wrong.
Tulsi’s new thread on the release of the HPSCI report out today: https://x.com/DNIGabbard/status/1948007534960198036
The report is a pdf available at the link. It’s 47 pages I think, produced by the majority staffers on the committee, declassified now.
“…None of the actors will ever pay a price.”
To be sure, if Trump is in fact
Hitlerdoing his damnest to save America, then there is every reason for the usualsuspectspatriots (and fervent, virtuous humanists) to support and defend—even applaud—WHATEVER Obama and hisodiousglorious minions have done…AND WILL DO…to stop him.No need to skip “are doing” in the middle there Barry, heh.

Oops!
Yer absolutely right.
(Actually, I’m pretty sure they’ve created a new tense—or “affect”, if that’s your thing:
the “Continuous Continuous”.
Yeah, I think that’s it.)
Having said all that, and keeping in mind, as one MUST, the MOSTEST scandalous scandal in American History perpetrated by Obama (and his most worthy sidekick, “Biden”)—a scandal that BTW could not possibly have been perpetrated by Obama & Co. because, well, um, REASONS (but mostly because he IS the Lightgiver(TM)) AND because everything the Trumpists trumpet goes against the Narrative (TM) and must therefore be a Conspiracy Theory(TM)—one must NOT lose sight of a story even more important…assuming that’s even possible…that may have fallen through the cracks (of that house of cards oh-so-meticulously, and lovingly, constructed by that unicorn messiah?) and fallen on deaf ears—ouch!—simply because of all the surrounding echolalia…

Jeff Carlson on the 2017-2019 Horowitz “investigation”/cover-up — a snippet here:
Which may have hindered Durham to some extent…
…But he was mostly hindered/limited/hog-tied because of the stated scope of his investigation: to show that Sussman lied.
Anything peripheral to that—e.g., the Hillary Clinton angle—was dismissed by the judge, IIRC, which pretty much emasculated his efforts.
To be sure, the juries “So what?” attitude towards the whole thing didn’t help much, either….
Even Andrew McCarthy conceded there was no proper predicate for the “Mueller” investigation.
I thinks it’s a fair point, Obama doesn’t do anything in furtherance of this country, deliberately it may happen unintentionally, although I can’t think of an example,
the House of Rodham, Biden and Dunhams are much the same way, they ‘don’t forget to steal’ to quote Joe Pesci, the level of kompromat lesuo and other blackmail must be off the charts, needless to say, they hire those who will enable their crimes,
they draw predators to them, like the Russian Bear the Chinese Dragon, whatever animal represents Salafism, perhaps a Snake, the Persian Lion
compared to that Nixon’s little foibles are very near beer, but he alone was forced out, for reasons spelled out above,
there were plenty of reason, in the course of the domestic economic and some foreign foreign policy exploits, but most deferred to the fact of where he came from the sunbelt, meaning California which they have corrupted almost irreversibly it seems
I would say much of his bad habits he picked up in New York at Mudge Rose
when did McCarthy realize this, two years in, as he makes excuses for them not to be held accountable now,
I guess I agree with Hunters view of Clooney and Tapper, but that only happened till after the checks clearedm not before same with Josh(redacted)countryDawsey, supposedly heard by Dick Durbin, a figure of legendary dishonesty,
Bauxite is still upset that Trump wiped out his life’s savings lol
Re: James Carville
“Primary Colors” was Mike Nichols’ movie about Clinton’s 1992 campaign. Billy Bob Thornton plays the Carville character. The film shows him propositioning and exposing himself to an attractive young campaign worker publicly in Clinton headquarters.
She cuts him dead. “Gee, I’ve never seen one that old before.” Everyone laughs and claps.
–Primary Colors – Billy Bob Thornton” (1998)
https://youtu.be/yZUogD_QxO4?t=37
She turns out (of course?) to be lesbian. Kathy Bates in the film pulls strings to get her as an assistant, and they end up lovers.
Bates is an investigator digging up dirt on opponents and any dirt on Clinton (played surprisingly well by John Travolta) that could be used against Clinton.
Bates discovers a scandal in which the Clinton character has impregnated an underage black girl. The campaign manages to cover it up. Bates commits suicide.
The protagonist is a young black man beset by his doubts about Clinton. But after Clinton wins, the moral of the story is that, sure bad things happen in campaigns, but its all worth it if the Right People win.
Keep in mind that Democrats like this film. It’s worth watching as a capsule of Democrat hypocrisy when it comes to their candidates vs Republicans.
Partially because of the subterfuge behind joe kleins authorship also they cast larry hagman as the rival to travoltas character who has his own scandal with a gay lover (bates seems to based on betsy wright, a clinton enforcer)
I thought political animals with ciaran hinds as the clinton manque (hes irish i think) but he captured clintons oily oevre
Underwoods the murderous deceptive southern pol in house of cards played by kevin spacey seemed to the most sensible of the characters that tells you everything about the screenwriter
huxley – “Democrat hypocrisy”
Next time they go on about how horrible Trump is remind them that two of their biggest heroes of the last fifty years were BJ Clinton and Ted “splash” Kennedy, he of the “waitress sandwich”
Bauxite,
The key point in Tulsi’s initial release is that Obama was involved directing the Russia collusion coup.
Also that they made up the idea Putin did so to help Trump.
Claiming Putin wanted Trump to be POTUS was a weak spot in their claim, it didn’t make sense on the face of it. It was obvious Hillary would be Putin’s preferred POTUS.
Democrats goal power!!!
